Ahhh! I loved it! I went to the midnight showing on Thursday with a friend. A tradition that another friend and I started (she has since moved away) was dressing up to go. I've been to the last 3 movies for the midnight showings.
Sadly, the theater we went to wasn't busy at all, and I was one of the very few dressed up. *shrug* I still had a blast though.

I'd love to show pictures, but for privacy's sake, you'll have to use your imagination. Least to say, it was an authentic costume I threw together using our rendezvous clothing.
Enough of my rambling. ><
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I'd say it was worth the money to see it. I found, and still find, that "Dead Man's Chest" was still darker than "On Stranger Tides." But maybe that's just me.
There was good humor and "laugh out loud" moments one expects from the PotC movies.
I always applaud these movies for their minimal gore. Although one person is run through, there isn't any blood (as far as I could tell) on the blade when he removes it from his body. (He was a cursed pirate crew member.) Another person is injured and there is blood covering his chest beneath his shirt, but nothing too overly graphic. (This of course depends of your tolerance. I'm somewhat squeamish and wasn't bothered.)
The mermaids were really neat. I assumed they were sirens originally because of the way they acted, but that is beside the point.

Modesty could be a factor for some people. They don't wear clothing but the way it was pulled off they have scales all over their skin, the chest is not as pronounced, and their hair is usually covering their front.
All in all, I am still a hard core fan.

The way it ended, it appears to be leading into a fifth movie that I will faithfully dress up and see most likely.
