I almost forgot to update. I am officially back on Holy Worlds.

I had a really unique summer, but I learned a lot of valuable lessons: like learning how to cope with stress while working against a time crunch, working with many personalities, patience, and self-discipline.
I'd also like to share a PTL (Praise the Lord) with you guys:
During camp, my supervisor, Barb, at my office job, told me we could talk about my hours for the rest of the summer and my school year. She was very willing to work around my schedule.

I would start the work week after camp ended.
Camp ended on August 1st. Interestingly enough, another co-worker from the office, Holly, called and told me about a new job opportunity. Her husband is the CEO of an Electrical Workers Union in the same city my office job is. He had called Holly wondering if I was interested in a new job. It consisted of the same duties I perform at my office job, but it pays more and it's closer to the town I live in by almost 10 miles. I told Holly I would think (and pray) on it.
Two days after I had come home, on August 3rd (Friday), I received a phone call from Barb. She explained that she had to let me go. The big boss wanted a "full-timer" to fill my position instead of having me there. I felt it coming, but was shocked nonetheless. I kept reassuring Barb I was going to be okay, that God had a plan for me. He has always provided.
The tears didn't come until later. I had been a part of that office family for the past 5 1/2 years and I felt like that rug had just been ripped up from beneath my feet. I took heart and still trusted God to handle everything. I gave Holly's husband, Derek, a call and left a message. Only to find that she gave me her cell number instead of his, so I called again on Monday. That same Monday, Derek called me back and I went in for an interview. It went really well.

I was hired and my first day is next Monday! I've got a couple hours of training tomorrow afternoon and then I'm set!
Anyhoo, that's that and I'm glad to be back!

P.S. I joined the Sci-fi forum too this summer!
