For those of you who aren't experts on my world, a mingle is a person who carries two lineages: two tribes. There is one race in my world: the Human race. But there are seven tribes. Kimun is a Fire-Elve, a mingling of Dragons and Elves. During his lifetime, he was one of very few left in the world. Most had become Crans, whose lineages are so mixed that they retain none of the blessings that the One gave to the original tribes.

Me - Fine, I get the point.

Niarah - So, does borrowing characters fall in with rule 6473?

Me - Umm, depends. I'm glad that stopped, this was becoming a charrie exchange.

Niarah - That would make me nervous.

Rahor - Exactly. Thus, it isn't happening.

Traxus - Interesting blades.

Niarah - Is it just me, or did you introduce your weapons to give us a hint? As in, calm down and don't be so rowdy?

Cory: Yes, Zoey, and that would include not destroying the login page.

Me: Darn, I was really about to go all out.

Tynx: C'mon c'mon! Please?!

Werynn: Mingles sound rather interesting...

Me: Oh, sorry, Emeth. Didn't realize that's where we were headed.

Jesse: I don't think anybody did.

Seymour: You came just in time, Kimun. Thigns were about to get chaotic outside the barriers.

Jek: Psh. It wouldn't have gotten that bad.

Seymour: Jek, you were about to unleash flowering vines on that army. You don't call that chaotic?

Me: I'd call it sweetness.

Cory: You would.

Tynx: [Bouncing up and down] Please? Please?

Me: Tynx, sit!!

Tynx: [Sits] But-

Me: No buts. Sit and wait until someone tells you to do something. And that does not include you, Mordir.

Rowen: [Rumbles with laughter]

Mordir: I didn't say anything!

Tesmir: Are the swords as old as Etroth?

Me: [Throws a sledgehammer in the direction of the login page]

Cory: Zoey!

Me: Hey, it's being bothersome. Don't yell at me.

Me: I promise I will not destroy this world/thread, Sir Emeth.

Malchus: That is roughly translated to "Get back in here", Camden.

Me: Uh, yeah.

Camden: But it was just starting to get fun!!

Malchus: Well, if you want fun, go fight Kimun.

Camden: Okey-dokey! Kimun, ya want to fight me? I'm sure you'll win, but it'll still be fun!

Malchus: Wow. When did Camden get to be so truthful about his fighting skills?

Camden: That wasn't exactly truthful. That was wisdom. This way, if he wins, I can just brush it off, if he doesn't then it's all the better victory for me!

Malchus: Right...

Me: Actually, Ben, anything from Earth's history isn't cobha, because earth is in our world, we're just from a different planet.

Ben: Ok, I choose not to fight. But Sir Emeth, surely if your world has droids in it there is some sort of ray gun common between the two?

Aaron: Forget it. Why don't you fight Tynx?

Ben: That little twerp? [laughs] I'd hurt him!

Me: Ahem. Calling people names is NOT very nice.

Ben: Ok. The cute little fox.

Me: Better. Well, Tynx, if you want to, you can have a friendly duel with Ben here.

Daniel: Ben, my friend, why are you so violent?

At the stage in Kimun's life at which I inserted him into Ëtroth there are no droids or ray guns. And the ones that are in his future are demonic and he doesn't use them. Sorry.

Ben: Aw...

Me: How do you like that? I guess you won't be dueling Kimun.

Tynx: YES!!!!

Tesmir: Tone it down a bit, will you?

Tynx: Alright! Yes!!!

Me: Wait.

Tynx: Oh, yeah.... what's your world's stuff... I mean, does it 'agree' with mine?

Me: Tynx: Doesn't technically have a world. He grew up on an airship, but I haven't advanced in details of weaponry in that. So I think anytihng will be OK. Don't worry about not hurting him, he'll probably manage to avoid getting hit.

Cory: He better. He's been harpin' on about battling. Zoey!

Me: [Snatches back a bomb] What? I did nothing!

Cory: Really, it's not hurting you.

Me: It's annoying, all the same.

Cory: Well chucking bombs at it will not help.

Me: [Tosses bomb over her shoulder, strangely in the direction of the login page] It's lucky it didn't log me out when I started to post.

All my characters: Zoey!!

Seymour: Put down any more weapons and leave the poor thing alone.

Tynx: Yeah, I wanna battle! Then, then I wanna battle others!

Cory: Baby steps, buddy, baby steps.

Tynx: OK.... is battling Kimun a baby step?

Me: More like jumping over a mountain range..... hmm, I'm thinking about switching somebody out for another somebody....

Rowen: I will volunteer. And I will fetch your other 'somebody'. [Takes to the sky and flies off.]

Lorielle: Bye-bye, Rowen!

[Bomb explodes]

Me: Well, would you look at that...

Niarah - (inspects the login page) Umm, sorry Zoey, it's still there.

Me - I can understand your pain, Zoey. I was suffering the same login-page troubles a while ago. It works perfectly now, though.

Rahor - You humans are incredibly strange. I mean, picking fights with webpages?

Me - If you were an author, you'd understand.

Rahor - I'm glad I'm not.

Me: Sorry, but I'm an author, and I don't understand. j/k. I used to kick my Grooveshark to get it to work. Never did help. I haven't had any trouble with the login on here, though...

Malchus: Watch out, you say that, and you will suddenly have problems with it!

Me: Ah, of course I won't!

Felicia: Mae govanne! We are back!

Me: No elvish, girl.

Felicia: Sorry, it's just that living with the elves, I had to learn their language.

Malchus: You lived with ELVES???

Alanhil: Well, we did a bit of world traveling.

Malchus: I'll say!

Alanhil: The elves are friends of mine. I go visit them occasionally.

Me: Okay, I started this post an hour ago, and now I have to go to bed. But before I do, I have a question for Merashath.

Tirahi: ::shoves others out door:: You heard her! Scoot!

Me: Whew. Okay. Merashath. May I write Alanhil into a story, give him his own fractal, that sort of thing? Or is my authorship of him only for this thread/forum?

Me: Of course you can! I made him for Felicia, remember? I just made him for this thread. (so I'm not attached to him or anything, so go ahead.)

Ben: Ok. The only thing I can think of that is common between our worlds is

Me: [interrupting] Almost any kind of medieval weapon you can think of? Yes, that about sums it up. Have at him, Tynx.

Ben: Wait, no, uh, ahh, ok. [mysteriously finds dagger in hand] Ooh Yeah! Thanks Merashath!

Me: I decided you could use a dagger because like I said, earth is in our world. In the end you can get them on your planet.

Ben: [tossing dagger in air and cutting hand with blade] Ouch! It's sharp!

Me:

Ben: Tynx, I'm ready!

Me: Just wanted to double check!


Camden: Where'd Kimun go? I thought he was going to fight me or somebody...

Malchus: I believe he was going to fight Ben.

Camden: I challenged him too, though.

Malchus: He didn't accept.

Camden: He fled the forums.

Me: Guys... ::sigh::

Theron: Kimun, how about you fight me?

Me: You can't, unless if there are dragons in his world.

Theron: ROAR!!! Er, that is, humph.

Theron flies over the barrier and lands a few yards in front of Kimun.

Theron: I never strike first. Bad policy.

Theron absently thrashes his tail back and forth, causing a cloud of dust which hides quite a bit of him.

Me: Argh!!!! [Starts going insane and attacks the login page mercilessly.

Tynx: Ah yeah! You go first, OK?

Seymour: [Watching Kimun and Theron, amused]

Tesmir: C'mon, Seymour, you know this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. Show 'em what you can do!

Seymour: Why?

Me: Because you're staff is so awesomely cool. [Returns to attacking login page]

Cory: [Looks at Tynx] Well this should be interesting.

Hakor: Aye. He's so full of energy he'll be hard to hit.

Cory: And even then it's no sure thing he'll even feel it until the energy wears off.

Me: Wow, ALOT has happened since I've been away! I missed this place

Terra: Well, atleast you were out and about for the past week, I've been stuck in your computer and left hanging mid-paragraph alone!

Me: Sorry Terra, I didn't bring my computer with me or a my pad of paper (the one thing i forget, go figure!) Forgive me?

Malka: *Nod, pushes his snout into Terra's knee-high boots*

Terra: Ok, ok Malka, I forgiver her! Now get back to writing, I need some exercise!

Eli: I agree, I need to stretch out my limbs... this computer is very cramped

Me: Fine, back to the books! Lets go people! *motions to the doorway*

Eli: I will try my luck at a challenge, if anyone needs a partner...

Theron throws dust into Kimun's face with his tail, then strikes out quickly with his front claws at his arms and chest.

Malchus: That wasn't fair!

Theron: There is no 'fair' in battle, lad. And though in this one there are rules, that is not one of them.

Malchus: I still say it's a mean trick.

Theron: Say as you like, lad. It's a common one, especially when one's opponent is stronger or of unknown strength.

Malchus: Still--

Me: Leave him be, he's got a battle to fight.

Malchus sulks, and I shoo him out the door.

[ben walks into zoey's post]

Ben: Whoah, cool.[raises dagger, and dives at tynx]

Me: Oh, bad move. This'll be over quickly.

The sand flies off on all sides without touching Kimun as he does a backflip and lands outside of range, Ël-Ërai at the ready.

Er, I am not familiar with the exact physical nature of Theron, or my precise limits as to what Kimun can do. Could you elaborate before continuing?

Me: Kimun can do anything you want him to! Just, I get to decide if he hurts Theron. You get to decide whether Theron hurts you. We've already covered the no unfair advantages thing, no using things that aren't common to both worlds, that sort of thing, I believe. If I understood your cryptic posts correctly, that is.
Theron is a dragon, quite large, with very good eyesight and hearing, big teeth, lots of fire and smoke... no special powers.

Theron: Don't forget to tell him about my claws.

Me: ::sigh:: And he has claws. But all dragons do, don't they?

Theron: Not babies.

Me: Whatever. Anyway, Emeth, did that answer your questions?

So, do either of our parties fly? Kimun can fly, sort of, a few yards above the ground.

Along with that goes limited protection and control over fire.

All good?

Theron can fly (he is a dragon!), so if Kimun has that power, then it'd be fair to let him use it, in my opinion.

Welll.... I suppose Kimun can use that as well. Just not complete protection from it, otherwise this will be a very very long duel. (I'm not going to make Theron's scales as invincible as he is in my story, or it'd be even longer! )

Theron: Hey!

Malchus: Yay!

Camden: I'm not sure whose side to be on...

I will introduce two of my characters here. They are still developing their characters. Their names are Jay and Shawn. Jay has dark hair and deep blue eyes. Shawn has red-gold ringlets, and soft brown eyes.

Jay: "My name is Alec Jay Henderson, but most people call me Jay."

Shawn: *tosses her head stubbornly* "I'm Shawn, and Jay's nickname is Jay-bird!"

Jay: "Do you want me to tell your nickname?"

Shawn: "No!"

Me: "Look, don't fight!"

Shawn: "He started it!" *runs off to climb a nearby tree*

Jay: *smiles* "Wild child. Hey Spunkle, do you want some help?"

Shawn: *grinning, eyes sparkling* "Rrrgh!"

Me: "Spunkle is a combination of Spunky and Twinkle."

Don't worry it isn't complete. He tried to leap into a pit of fire once, and he almost died then.

Kimun hurls himself forwards into the air, ducking under Theron's claws and leaping onto his head, clinging irresistibly to it and poising his sword over his eye.

Me:thinks that Kimun will find out the true extent of a dragon's strength...but then again Kimun seems able to hold his own. These post-margins-limited duels are pretty limited. I'd love to let you both loose in chat-box-land.

Hey Eruheran, that might be an interesting idea for something to use the chatbox for. Have scheduled bouts between characters on there.

::Theron grabs Kimun in his claw and throws him to the ground before Kimun can stab him with the sword. He laughs.::

Me: I'd rather do duels in the forums. I don't have permission (nor want to) use the chat room, or what ever you call it... Anyway, this way I get more time to plan it out.

Theron: You are forgiven... ::swipes at Kimun:: Mostly.

Camden: When are you going to use your fire?

Theron: Why do you want me to kill him so badly?

Camden: Well, he did ruin our fun.

Theron: Then I might just let him win.

Me: Concentrate on the now, Theron!

Felicia: ::scornfully:: You want the impossible.

Alanhil: Have you been in Amanda's movies again??

Felicia: Um...

Me: I like the idea of the chatroom, and have duels and other types of matches with other HWer's characters would be fun!

Tynx: [Runs underneath Ben and flips onto his back, hanging on with his claws] Can you reach me now?

Tesmir: He doesn't have to anger his enemies by being so evasive, his words alone can irritate them.

Seymour: He certainly has a way with words.

Lorielle: [Watching Kimun and Theron] That's so cool.

Cory: They're certainly impressive.

Lorielle how long d'you think we'd last?

Cory: Um... not long. Because I'd be trying to protect you while you run about fighting, and I'll get all frantic and be of no use at all.

Me: You're braver than that, Cory Benjamin, and you know it.

Cory: Not as much as I'd like.

Me: Meh, no one's perfect.

Lorielle: Seymour can jump really high, too! He-

Seymour: Hush, lass.

Lorielle: What? You can.

Seymour: But the whole world doesn't need to know it.

Me: You're too modest, Seymour.

Seymour: Not my fault, you made me.

Me: Technically, I dreamed you up. So ha.

Theron: Well, hopefully it's more than impressive. It should be effective.

Me: Alrighty. I have here a drawing, and I think it's of Felicia and Dialo. But it might be Felicia and Alanhil. What do ya'll think?

Me: I like the picture Amanda.

Terra: I see Felicia and Alanhil.

Eli: I agree, but it's up to the author, Terra, not you.

Terra: I know, I know...

Ben: OUCH!! [rolls around trying to crush tynx under his weight]

Me: I like it better as Alanhill. Can anybody be in the chatroom 9:00 am UTC? Or GMC, whatever the forum says?

Theron: Toying? Well, what if I admit something... I'm toying with you too!

Theron absently thrashes his tail back and forth, filling the room with dust.

Me: *cough* Hey!

Theron: Sorry, Amanda. I forgot you humans are so susceptible to things like dust.

Theron continues to make the air thick with dust, seemingly out of bordem, and I leave. He is not effected by it at all.

Theron: Simple, simple tricks! Are you going to fight me yet?

Theron leaps into the air, sending more dust flying as well. He lands softly and silently right behind Kimun and lashes his tail at him.


Me: Emeth, this is taking a very loooong time.... Can you hurry up and get hurt or attack? (I'd make Theron get hurt, but, um, that's a little hard when no one's attacking him! ) Who do you think should win this encounter?

Kimun leaps backwards over the tail and under the belly of Theron, cutting upwards precisely into a seam between the scales and lands beyond the dragon.

Of course, Kimun is going to win.

Tynx: [Scrambles to disengage himself, but gets his back left leg squished.] Ouch. [ Twists and tears it loose, then rams into Ben's middle]

Me: Easy there.

Seymour: [Gives in to slight hints the youth have been giving him.] Oh very well. Kimun, if you are up to it, I would duel you next?

Lorielle: Yay!

Seymour: Only if he's up to it, mind you. If not, I'll take all you young ones.

Cory, Lorielle, Tesmir, Jek, and Hakor: [Confused and startled silence]

Me: [Lobs a gasoline covered bomb to the login page, then throw a torch]

Cory: You.... nah, never mind.

Me: I don't know how Kimun did that, considering where Theron was, but whatever.... I suppose I could let you win. But then I can just have Theron not get hurt and go on forever. Hmmmm.

Theron laughs, unharmed.

Theron: That is not a weakness in my armor, young lad. Still, you are quicker than most and I must try another strategy, as evidently your blindness does not affect you.

Theron takes a deep breath, and breaths fire. The room is filled, and the walls start to burn.

Me: Wait, no destroying the thread!

Theron: The fire will burn, but not destroy any but that little runt.

Me: If you insist...

Kimun rolls in the air to the side, the fire boiling about him in strange shapes, falling off his cloak like ashes from a blade. He moves his arm rapidly in a whipping motion, and Kimensul leaps from the earth and is hurled directly into the center of the blaze, light flashing and exploding about it as it speeds - into Theron's mouth, striking him in his throat.

Theron: I'm dead.

Me: You are not.

Theron: I am dead.

Me: You mean, you give up.

Theron: I'm tired of this.

Me: Fine.

Theron rolls over and plays dead.

Theron: No, you just annoyed me with your invincibility.

"It took much to make me this way. And there are many things in my realm which I... avoid." He raises his hand and the Kimensul returns to his grasp.

Kimun is one of the (at this point in his life, the) best warriors in the world. He has weaknesses, but he has trained himself (and others have trained him) for decades to not show them. Most of his martial weaknesses are eliminated however. At least when combating... regular people.

Most of his weaknesses are inside.

Me: Inside weaknesses? Like, taunting him with his past, or something like that, would be a good strategy? Hee hee hee. Theron, would you like to fight him now?

Theron: My jaw still hurts. Though the sword did not cut me, anything be rammed into anyone's mouth hurts.
