Mordir: Or, I'll just stay out of your way and be quiet.

Me: That's a good idea, you're getting developed anyway.

Mordir: I am? You don't like me how I am?

Me: I do, but this might help with your villain/hero personality crisis, at least alittle. Just depends on whether or not I do it.

Mordir: Do... do what, exactly?

Me: Sorry for not posting sooner, guys! I've been busy,

Fayn: [shakes the last bit of melting ice off of his legs] Yus! I'm finally thawed! *looks around* Hey, where'd Tynx go? To the treasure hunt?

Kironi: *shrugs* dunno.

Me: Welcome, Lachart and Fennella!

Tynx: [Bounds in] Yuppers! Come join us! We're looking for buried treasure! [Scampers out]

Me: Alright guys, come on introduce yourselves...
Characters: *get in line*
Raven: Uhhh, hi everyone? *smiles sheepishly*
Lord Mifisto: *thinks maliciously, all these new minds to enslave...* Whaaa haaa oh, uh did I say that out loud? I am pleased to introduce myself to such a polite society of folks.
Me: Guys is there anything you would like to tell the others about yourselves?
Raven: Uhhh no.
Me* wonders why she created characters that never do what their told even on paper*

Berne: Greetings! *looks oddly at Mifisto*
Tilka: Hello. *smile at Raven*
Luwsolet: *hiding behind Mir*
Arthos: Greetings! *stares aggressively at Mifisto*
Mir: *looks oddly at Mifisto*

Me: "HW ate my post..."

Jay: "I walked in. I had a conversation with Arilledrae. It was better than being pinned under a dragon's claw. I opened the window."

Me: * sighs *

Lars: "Fayn, they went this way."

Me: I have nobody to bring in, I suppose I should bring in the characters from my ex-novel.

Seymour: Welcome Raven and Lord Mafisto.

Tae: [Looks at Lord Mafisto nervously] Was he sent by-

Me: No, he wasn't. Just chill about that, alright?

Tae: Sorry, I'm just nervous.

Mordir: [Nods in greeting]

Me: What put you into a gloomy mood?

Mordir: You did, madam.

Me: Why me? Wouldn't you like to have afamily?

Mordir: I don't know! You're the one who's not sure!

Aelynn: Those two argue 24/7, don't they?

Seymour: It certainly seems that way, yes.

Chayn: [Blinks, then looks at Shawn, then at Jay] I'm confused, then. Were you ignoring SHawn in any way? Even jut the slightest hint of it?

Seymour: At least let the boy up, Chayn.

Chayn: [Ignores]

Mordir: She's still mad?

Seymour: Maybe. After what she's gone through, she's probably very wary about anything that happens to Shawn.

Jay: * growls * "What if I did?"

Me: * headdesk * "Obviously you are trying to die."

Shawn: "Jay..."

Raven: I am very confused... our author has forgotten to post!

Chayn: [Lip curls into a slight snarl, her talon adds a little bit if weight] Did you?

Mordir: Let him up, Chayn. It's not like he's going anywhere.

Chayn: This isn't your concern, villain.

Mordir: Maybe not. But villains are usually the ones who get to threaten the heroes.

Me: [To Lady Alina] I don't think you missed very much. Chayn's being angry at Jay for ignoring Shawn, and Tynx, Klasina, Kitty, Ouskar, and Susyn are off on a treasure hunt.

Elanhil: *walks over to where Jay is standing*

Cuoash: Umm, don't get involved if you don't have to...

Elanhil: But Jay helped me that time the villains rebelled.

Cuoash: So did Chayn...

Elanhil: *ignores* *looks down at Jay, winks, and looks up at Chayn* Dragon, I defy you!

Cuoash: Uh-oh...

Me: Uh-oh...

Cuoash: Uh-oh...

Elanhil: This man has done you no wrong...anything he might have done was between him, and her. *points to Shawn* So, if you would kindly stop mediating between two people when it is no concern of yours whatsoever, that would be appreciated...

Cuoash: *whispers to me* What is HE doing now, then?

Me: Uh, mediating between two...beings when it is no concern of his whatsoever...

Cuoash: Hypocrite...

Elanhil: *whirls around* What did you call me??

Cuoash: Uuuuuh... nevermind.

Me: There's another Raven in here. Good thing my Raven isn't here...

Arilledrae: *watches Chayn and the others* *wind spins rapidly, as though it is barely contained* (@Tae) The time it takes to tame a dragon and the ease of doing so really depends on the person. For some it takes days, for others years. It took me a year, which is about average.

Tae: Oh. How did you find your draegyn? Was she an egg or already a baby?

Chayn: [Pushes face up close to Elanhil] If my Keeper has been hurt, physically or emotionally, it is my duty to protect her. And I will not have someone like you stop me!

Seymour: Chayn! Enough. You should know better than to speak to someone like that. Granted, the Dragon should protect its Keeper, but they should also know when to listen to advice. You should listen to him.

Chayn: [Looks at Elanhil] Why do you care what I do? I'm not harming Jay in any way-

Mordir: [Snorts]

Me: Bless you.

Mordir: [Glares]

Chayn: What do you suggest I do then, Elanhil? I will consider advice.

Mordir: She's acting weird.

Me: You can blame me.

Mordir: I always blame you.

Me: "Wonderful..."

Jay: * grimaces under the added weight * "Look, I wasn't maliciously trying to do anything, 'k?" * smiles a bit at Elanhil * "Thanks."

Me: "You're still going to have to deal with sassing a dragon."

Elanhil: Instead of making Jay... *looks down* Rather...uncomfortable...*looks back up* Why don't you let him talk to Shawn and work it out?

Chayn: Did you ignore Shawn in any way? [Looks at Elanhil, then at Jay and Shawn] .... Very well. [Reluctantly lifts away foot, but then nudges Jay's shoulder] But I'll be keeping a close watch.

Mordir: Finally someone's talking sense into the dragon.

Chayn: [Snarls]

Me: She may not attack others, but she's certainly entitled to attack you. Watch it.

Chayn: [Ignores and watches Jay and Shawn carefully.]

Jay: * gets up, rubbing shoulder *

Shawn: * blinks * "You were running around doing things without me... Are you okay?"

Lars: "Girls are bewildering."

Elanhil: *looks at Mordir, smiling proudly* Thank-you, my lord.

Mordir: [Blinks in surprise]

Me: Haha, he's not used to that.

Mordir: Uh, you're welcome. [Smiles] I've never had anyone call me that before.

Me: [Pokes] So what do you say?

Mordir: Thank you.

Me: Wow, I expected backfire.

Mordir: I'm not always cold-hearted.

Me: I know, which sometimes worries me.

Chayn: [Watches Jay and Shawn like an overprotective mom]

Aelynn: Chayn, calm down. They'll be fine.

Elanhil: Oh, are you not a lord, then? I could only assume so...

Cuoash: Hey, since when do you use flattery to get someone on your side?

Elanhil: I always have...

Cuoash: Really? *raises eyebrow suspiciously*

Mordir: You.... you thought I was a lord?

Seymour: [Smiles]

Me: He's been flattered speechless!

Mordir: I have not. [Looks at Elanhil] Thank you, again. What gave you the impression that I was a lord?

Me: I think he's enjoying the attention.

Seymour: I'm sure all villains do at point or another.

Me: Maybe. But Mordir isn't usually this polite.

Mordir: Hey!

Me: Hey yourself. You denying it?

Mordir: ....No...

Tae: [Giggles]

Mordir: [Glares]

Me: [Chucks dictionary] Be nice.

Elanhil: It's nothing...most lords do tend to have a high air and pride about them. Can't be wrong, or always stating the obvious. So naturally I assumed...

Cuoash: *stiffles a giggle* Be careful, Elanhil.

Me: That, was brilliant.

Mordir: [Doesn't know what to say] I... Uh, thank you. I never knew lords had those... qualities.

Tae: Qualities?

Me: [Glares Tae into silence]

Chayn: [Momentarily distracted by Elanhil and Mordir]

Mordir: Wait... Why are you saying this to me? I'm just a villain, I'm sure there are plenty of others who are more... Well, more of a lord.

Me: You don't like attention?

Mordir: [Quickly] I didn't say that.

Me:

Me: I'm about ready to get out of this again... just can't keep up.

Kai: What's going on? Did I see something about dragons up there?

Me: Where's Roel? He's supposed to be good at talking, not you.

Kai: Dunno.

Roel: Here I am. *sigh*

Me: Right. Roel, go talk. Kai, novel. I need you.

Kai: That worries me.

Me: You get to kill someone.

Kai: That worries me too. You always make it someone I'm going to regret.

Me: Yah, well, that's the way it works. Now go! * drags Kai out *

Roel: *looks around* Guess I'm by myself... Someone care to give me a recap of the past two pages? Everything since Manda last came in here?

Me: "I'm in the same boat, AK..."

Me: *bumbs characters back in.* Go socialize!

Berne:*bows* A dragon was attacking someone but it calmed down, apparently.

Me: Chayn let Jay up after Elanhil suggested a better way to settle things between Jay and Shawn (Jay's ignoring SHawn in some way). Elanhil's flattering Mordir, and everyone else... I dunno. Some people are out on the treasure hunt.

Me: "Thanks, Aris!"

Jay: "I was ignoring you?"

Shawn: * blushes *

Jay: * smiles a tiny bit *

Roel: *smiles at Shawn* Why would he be ignoring a pretty girl like you?

Me:

Jay: * eyes fly open *

Shawn: * color flies up to her cheeks * "I, um..."

Lars: "I think Roel has rendered her virtually speechless."

Me: * nods * (AK, I'm cracking up over the mental image I get of Jay's reaction.)

Chayn: [Smiles]

Me: Surprised she didn't snap at Jay.

Seymour: She's calming down.

Me: Maybe. So long as nothing gets her worked up again.

Mordir: I feel as if that was directed to me.

Me: You do? How odd... But anyway. Here's a few new characters. I'm trying them out to see if I like them.

Seymour: Which most likely you will.

Me: Eh, knowing me, you're probably right. But should they not be liked for their intended purpose, I'll probably find someplace else to put them.

Mordir: You really should stop getting so attached to your characters.

Me: I didn't ask you. This is Iluna everyone. And these two are her kids, Zinaan (age six), and his little sister Ivy (age 5)

Zinaan: Wow... this place is huge!

Ivy: Is Papa here?

Iluna: [Scans the area, somewhat nervously, barely notices her children running off]

Ivy: [Looks up at Cuoash] Do you know my papa?

Zinaan: We don't even know who she is, Ive.

Ivy: Well, maybe she's seen him!

Iluna: I'm sure your father is busy elsewhere, dears. Make sure you keep out of trouble.

Me: Iluna's a little protective.

Mordir: You think?

Iluna: [Starts]

Zinaan and Ivy: PAPA!

Me: (@Aris) Oh dear, now Mordir will really have an identity crisis.

Arilledrae: (@Tae) My draegyn was already full grown when I found her in the draegyn caves.

Roel: *ignores Jay* My apologies lady, if you thought I meant anything more than a complement to your character. I mean not to interfere with your obvious love relationship with Jay.

Me: I have no clue why Roel is acting like this. (or how he learned to talk fancy. )

Roel: You told me to be talkative. So I am.

Me: Not... quite what I meant.

Roel: *shrugs*

Me: "AK, I am literally busting out laughing right now. I like Roel this way."

Jay: * settles down a bit but is very aware that Roel is ignoring him*

Shawn: * smiles while turning a deep shade of rose * "I understand, although I hardly think I deserve such a complement." * glances at Arilledrae * (quietly) "No hard feelings, I hope?"

Lars: "You think?"

Me: * whack * "Mordir..." "Oh, dear."

Shawn: * smiles up at Chayn *

Me: "They're so... It's funny. Aris, we're going to have to get over to the Village Common sometime."

Lars: "I've done virtually nothing recently..."

Me: "Not my- never mind."

Lars: * shrugs *

Arilledrae: (@Shawn) I fail to see why there should be any hard feelings. No, of course not. *smiles easily*

Shawn: * smiles warmly back and relaxes considerably *

Me: * is glad *

Me: Haha, but hopefully it'll be a good crisis, and he'll be all sorted out. Somehow.

Mordir: [Now has two children clinging to each leg]

Ivy: Papa, I didn't know you were here!

Mordir: [Smiles gently] I've been here a long time, flower.

Zinaan: I kept Mama and Ivy safe, Papa. No one hurt them.

Mordir: I'm proud of you, son.

Iluna: We've missed you.

Mordir: I've missed you all, too.

Seymour: Do they know you're-

Mordir: [Glares] The kids don't, no. Do you think I can tell a six year-old and a five year-old that their father kills people to provide for them?

Seymour: I'm sorry.

Me: OK, you're all gettin' depressing. I'm still working out the snags, alright? Mordir, chill. Just hang out a socialize. Kids, go on a have fun, but don't get yourself in trouble-

Iluna: You'll have better luck telling them the sky is purple.

Me: Thank you for your input. You're no supposed to be the one who has smart-aleck comments. That's Mordir's job.

Chayn: [Nudges Shawn's arm affectionately]

Me: [To Shawn] What'd you have in mind? I don't believe I've ever noticed that part before.

Mordir: [Detaches Ivy and Zinaan from his legs] Go off and play, now.

Zinaan: WIll you come too?

Mordir: Maybe later.

Iluna: [Smiles as she watches her children scamper off]

Chayn: I wonder what they would do with Mountain Dew...

Me: That's... a frightening thought... was a caffeinated squirrel not enough for you?

Me: You like Roel this way?

Roel: *grins* Ah, yes you do, m'lady. @Mordir - You're an assassin like Kai too?

Me: And this is when we discover that Roel has moodswings..

Roel: That's not a moodswing. It wasn't at the same person.

Me: Close enough to be slightly frightening.

Roel: *shrug*

Mordir: I am. You have aproblem with it?

Iluna: Most people have a problem with it, love.

Mordir: Do you?

Iluna: .... I do. But it's just hard not to. I know you do it because of your past, or something.

Mordir: Not exactly. That would be connected with my name.

Iluna: That's right....

Me: This is gonna get really revealing for Mordir soon.

Seymour: Is that good?

Me: I don't know, actually.

Ivy: Zinaan, lookie! That must be the strong man who beat the other strong man!

Zinaan: How do you know? You don't know what he looks like, only what he did. Papa didn't say anything in his letter about what he looks like.

Ivy: I'm a girl, so I know, OK?

Seymour: You sent them letters?

Mordir: I do keep in touch with them.

Chayn: [Taps Elanhil with his tail] You have the makings of a fan club.

Zinaan: WOW! A dragon! Ivy, come here quick! Look!

Ivy; Pretty! That that girl must be her rider.... no, there's another word for it.

Zinaan: Doesn't matter. Let's go see if we can find other people!

Me: And... they also don't know Mordir's a villain.

Iluna: And it's surprisingly easy to keep it secret. With them being schooled at home, they haven't really been asked what their father does.

Mordir: And if they are, just say I travel. A lot. Because it's true.

Iluna: [Laughs] That is true.

Jay: * glances at Roel *

Me: * grins at AK *

Shawn: * pinks at Roel's complement and turns to Ivy and Zinaan * "I'm Chayn's-" * puts arm around Chayn * "-honorary keeper."

Lars: "Fun for Mordir."

Arilledrae: *watches the children with a smile, before reaching out with a tendril of wind and making Ivy's hair tickle her cheek*

Ivy: That's what the word was! That's cool. Papa said you two are really close.

Zinaan: Yeah, it was so cool!

Ivy: You weren't even here.

Zinaan: But it sounded cool.

Mordir: It was cool. They make a great team.

Chayn: [Smiles] From your point of view?

Mordir: Chayn, please?

Chayn: Sorry.

Seymour: Mordir, relax. Your children are too entranced by everything else here. They won't notice.

Iluna: I think he's right.

Chayn: [Laughs]

Ivy: [Squeals in excitement] Ooh, ooh, Zye, Zye! Look! My hair's blowing!

Tae: [Smiles] That's Arilledrae. [Looks at Arilledrae] So, what do you have to do to tame a draegyn?

Ivy: Oh, cool...

Zinaan: C'mon, let's go find other people! [Runs off with his sister]

Roel: I'm a soldier. Of course I dislike assassins. Wars are the only good way to kill people.

Shawn: * laughs *

Me: (@ Aris) "What kind of story could we do?"

Jay: ...

Me: * sighs * I don't know what to have you say."

Lars:

Mordir: My occupation doesn't come without its disadvantages, I'll have you know. My past doesn't exactly put me in a favorable position for 'honorable' work.

Seymour: Calm down before you do something you'll regret.

Mordir: [A smile twitches at the corners of his mouth] Been there, done that.

Seymour:

Tae: And... he's the villain in my story?

Me: Yes, but... no, at the same time. It's complicated.

Iluna: What does he do?

Mordir: [Aside so Tae can't hear] If I recall, I'm supposed to assassinate a council member saving-

Me: Give away the whole plot, why don't you?

Mordir: What? Are you planning on publishing?

Me: I don't know. It's barely gotten started, anyway.

Chayn: You two still argue way too much

Me: Thank you for the observation, Chayn. [To Shawn] I dunno. It sounds really fun, though. What did you have in mind?

Me: * gets dragged in by characters * Ow! Ow! Ow! TERMINUS! * thwacks *

Terminus: * lets go * What? Their persuading with words wasn't working. * motions to Emuna, Brian, Gavin, and Avneet *

Me: * pouts * I guess... I have no choice but to try this...or else get killed by my own villain.

Terminus: * grins *

Me: If I do anything wrong...just...Uhh...tell me, I guess.

Gavin: I can think of something you did wrong.

Me: What I do?...

Gavin: You brought her. * points to Emuna *

Emuna: Excuse me?! I am not the mistake in this conversation! There is a very particular son of the chief that I assure is more of an accident than I.

Gavin: Hah! Accident? I'll have you know that the only thing accidental here is your existence!

Me: Umm...yeah... I have lovely characters.

Brian: Sadly, you do...

Avneet: * steps between Emuna and Gavin and curls up beside her, using her nose to force the girl to sit down beside her * No quarreling, m'dear, it solves nothing and merely causes tempers to rise.

Gavin: * sticks tongue out at Emuna behind her back *

Avneet: * shoots a glare at Gavin *

Me: Yep... My characters get no less boring if I don't touch them for a month...if anything they get more annoying.

Brian: I have barely said a sentence! How am I annoying?!

Me: * shrugs *

Me: Rae!!! *barely refrains from flytackling Rae* You came back!

Arilledrae: Hello, Brian, Emuna, Gavin, Avneet, and Terminus. *smiles* (@Tae) Well, it's rather like taming a horse. You have to get it to trust you and then let you ride it. And you have to train it to breathe its element when you ask it to.
