Zelda is too hard, and boring for me.
(Have you played the Elders Scrolls?)

I'm a moderate video gamer with an interest into getting into pen and paper gaming, mainly GURPS, HERO, and other modern/sci-fi settings.

For video games, I play quite a few. I play all the Lego Star Wars games, Lego Indiana Jones, and Star Wars Republic Heroes on Wii. I also play Endless Ocean: Blue World and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 on Wii.

I play "The Battle for Middle Earth II" and "Star Wars Battlefront II" on PC. I also have "Star Wars Empire at War + Forces of Corruption" which I don't have installed because my computer can't handle all four games. I also have a game called "Shattered Suns" which they claim was the first 3D space strategy game. I've never been able to get it to work.

I also have a Nintendo DS, and I'm currently playing "Tom Clancy's EndWar." (I want to get it on PC) and "Aragorn's Quest."

I like playing video games. I have just 1 pokemon game which was new last year. I want to get the newest one. I have "My Chinese coach" DS game and several Wii games that I like playing. I want Aragorns quest on the Wii.

Yes. I should have mentioned it. Zelda is rather amazing X3

I tried playing the "Twilight Princess" version but my sister took it away.

Elder Scrolls....... I don't think I've heard of it. What kind of game is it?

Some of the Zelda games are kinda weird (the DS Zelda games) but most (including Twilight Princess) were amazing.

I got Battlefront II for the PSP. That was a mistake. I was used to the PS2 version (which I had played at a relative's house) and I was upset when the game was missing certain planets and you couldn't sabotage in Space Assault.

Aragon's Quest looked good but I don't think I'll be buying it.

In retrospect my fantasy love was also nurtured by Fire Emblem, Shining Force, and Shining Force 2, though not to the same scale as the Zelda series.

We could do it with 8 characters. (That means four people with two characters each. (If your free-to-play.)

Do you play, Varon?

Not yet.

Would it work for netbook? Laptops are rather expensive for me and my low salary.

Probably. I don't know how well it would run, depends on how good your netbook.
I found this topic on lotro about it http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php? ... -a-netbook

Hmm, Bard, I am on Brandywine, and I don't really want to switch servers because of my levels: Haldlyn-46-champion, Glormfir-41-guardian, Beldran-35-hunter. (It took a long time to get that far!)

I understand that.
What I was thinking was making a kin on server and then everyone could make characters on that server. That way we would all be around the same level.

I was thinking firefoot. Since I have a low level character there that could make a kinship.

Ok, firefoot works, we need more than 6 people though to get a kin off the ground.

I thought of that what i can do is make characters on different accounts to fill in the gaps.

It would if we could get you sooner Varon.

I need to get hold of Svensteel...

Any preference for a name? Do you think Jay would mind if we called it holy worlds kin?

I probably won't be able to play today. It's only 45% downloaded with another 3 and half hours to go. :P

I don't think we should call it that, maybe an Elvish translation of it or something...like, *checking in the back of the Silmarillion*... :book: How about, Aina Kemen Gwaith: Holy Earth People, Aina Kemen Hini: Holy Earth Children, or Aina Kemen Rim: Holy Earth Host. Those are what I strongly advise!

Well, since it finished downloading yesterday and I had to work, and I have to work today, I might be able to get on tomorrow.

Let me know when you get it set up.

Ok, I need you guys to both have two characters made to join the kin.

I agree with Daniel about the name.

Please give me the names of your characters so I can invite you.

Two characters? I'll see what I can do.

It solves my problem of whether to be a hunter or a captain. :D

You only have to have them past the intro. then you can abandon the other character if you want.

(I spent an hour and a half yesterday getting my three characters through the intro.)

How long does it take? I can only play 30 minutes a day.

EDIT: My character is Elben, a level 4 hunter.

You should be done with the intro at about level 6.

Ok, I guess I'll have to make a couple guys, I probably won't play all that much as my mains are on brandywine. Varon, I can get through the intro (past level 6) in an hour for sure. But if in any way you can get more computer time...most instances take more than 1/2 an hour. Bard which name did you go with?

"White shores..and beyond. A far green country under a swift sunrise."
"Well...that isn't so bad."
"No. No, it isn't."

Okay, cool. I may have a second character through it by Thursday. It depends on how long it takes to find Cal Sprigley.

I found him now. In fact, I finished the introduction and I got rid of that beginner hunter outfit. :dieshappy:

I carry two blades by my side.

EDIT: I also have a level 5 character named Peridred (Captain) who's two thirds of the way done with the introduction.

Ok, I might get extra time to play today, if so I will try to make at least 1 guy and get him through.

That'd be cool.

Peridrid just reached level 6 and finished the introduction.

I'm playing my first (and only) MMOG, Lords and Knights for iphone and ipod touch, if you're on there, search for Vosman and message me! I also like mario kart, and have it on 3DS as well as super mario. I mostly play platforming games, but have often drooled over Skyrim and games like it, wishing I had the system necessary to experience it.
I, too have been playing a little less as other things take up my time, but I think a good RPG would help with my writing, hmmm (makes notes of arguments to use when talking with parents  ).

*laughs* I'm a proponent of real and turn-based strategy games as being good exercise for the mind. :D
