Sometimes...When you're the Sheriff...You gotta take matters into your own hands. ;)

They fell. But we didn't listen.

Footsteps. Silence. Then something grabbed her.

The pen? Empty. The paper? Blank.

Smiling sadistically, he set it aflame.

Her frantic message was suddenly interrupted.

Not too many...But a few!

He smiled: the mask had slipped.

Her eyes were her soul's window.

His hands: broken, bleeding... but beautiful.

The princess turned into a Cinderella.

Her joy kept the candle lit.

His heart ached for her pain.

We were vanquished. Was hope lost?

My faithful friend had been murdered.

Finally - victory! But at what cost?

He sighed. Then he finally jumped.

Who would have ever suspected...him?

Watch out for spiders. They bite.

Snakes sometimes attack from the trees.

You're good at these, Twin. :) I've only managed to summarize my own stories into Hemingways so far, not make any new ones.

Nice Bushy! Those are good. Here are a few I recently came up with:

His heart beat along with God's.

His disconnection vanished in that moment.

He made it to ninety years.

"Why do I keep eating cheeseburgers?" (This one was a little more funny. I'm quoting a friend here. ;) :P )

Don't fight. I've tried. It failed.

Trick-or-treating - a psychopath's paradise.

The illustrious watchmaker was finally dead.

A lonely gunslinger breathed his last.

He couldn't believe my heroic insanity.

Little comfort to a dying man!

What was that? You hate me?

Snow fell. Snow fell. Snow fell.

The answer was in the library.

So I tried every book; empty.

But wait! I have missed one!

The cover falls open; I look.

More than I wanted to know.

Now I knew. War was waiting.

The book goes where it belongs.

But I'm sent where I'm not.

I never wanted to go to war.

 So much six word story awesomeness... * loves this thread *

* attempts to add some stories to said loved thread *

It was not just a song.

One life; one death; one second.

There's more to what she saw.

One second. But it changed eternity.

Eyes of horror; souls of hate.

The theological implications were shockingly perplexing...

Enjoy!

He found it on every page.

Orange Cat? How cute! No! Bomb! (Just a random one there. :P)

"Music stand sweepstakes!" the DJ announced.

"He's down where?!?" "That street." "No!"

One life gone, one life new.

His naps turned deadly that day.

"Roller coasters are not my thing!" "Suuuurrre."

They both danced and talked away.

"What happens to one who rejects?"

"Create something! Creativity is good!" "Yes!"

Great Hemingways, friends (just a note, though, Captain Scrumptious - one of your Hemingways is seven words long)!

The noose tightened around my neck (has this one been done? Apologies if I copied someone's...).

A door opened. Snakes came out.

I had to ignore the candy.

The jack-o'-lantern started talking.

My ATV was totaled. Completely totaled.

He had to take her. Somehow.

A dart glided past my face.

The natives were very excitable chaps.

A shipwreck. An island. How original.

The captain sneered, holding her tightly.

I had to kill him. Immediately.

Inspiration seemed pretty high ton...I mean, this morning. Yeah. This morning. ;)

That was fun! Hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.

Great Hemingways, friends (just a note, though, Captain Scrumptious - one of your Hemingways is seven words long)!

Ah, sorry. I miscounted. I thought it was 6. Thanks for pointing that out! :D

You're welcome. :) I seem to recall that I did the opposite one time - one too few instead of one too many. :P

Let's see...

I was so sick of everything.

The king never saw it coming.

The voodoo ritual was horrifyingly chilling.

The clock's tick, our funeral march.

The drums stopped. Then they came.

Our friend wouldn't last the night.

Here's a couple ( :P ) :

His success was a failure.

The sheep followed, the goats strayed.

The army's weapon was a stick.

Oh dear. He has a gun.

He sliced himself. Cut - infection -
death.

The frypan was a great defence!

She trusted him: a horrible decision.

Lost again... never to be found.

His mercy was all she needed.

Jumping off high cliffs hurt - alot.

Those are EXCELLENT, Dairy! I think I especially like this one: She trusted him: a horrible decision.

Keep it up! Those were great.

In the shadows, the madman waited.

The voices overcame him. He cracked.

Forgiveness: something my cousin didn't deserve (;)).

Traitors everywhere fell by his sword.

More to come tonight (hopefully)...Just don't feel like anymore at the moment. :P

So...more need people to post. :dieshappy:

Thanks, Crush. That one reminded me of Tangled when Rapunzel said she trusted Flynn. :D

I likes.

Trust shattered, confidence crushed, friendship destroyed.

Betrayal was in his knife's point.

Guilt was a ball and chain.

A heart broken leaving shattered dreams.

The mirror revealed more than appearances.

Those are great, Bush! :D

I like your photo hemmingway, Jonathan.

The book held many unknown secrets.

HolyWorlds. Is. Awesome. End of story.

His thoughts of death were terrifying.

Stars before his eyes - then blackness.

Those weren't that great. :P

Those weren't that great.

Hmm...Can Holy Worlds be one word? ;)

Parks - the perfect place for murder.

I'd never killed a grizzly before.

In this town, dissension was deadly.

Laughing wickedly, he left her, helpless.

The train was coming. He smiled.

Stuck, in a rattlesnake-filled mine.

The cave-in saved our lives.

I want to write more, and probably could, but there's a few for now. :dieshappy:
