OK, I just wrote this after writing Sannahet and Enclave...so hopefully I'll include all of the things that I wanted to. If you want a birds-eye view of ALL the nations in Enderion, then I also have a thread for that here.

Tarbiyaan
Tarbiyaan is a borderline, kind of grey area nation in the northwest of Enderion.. They are mercenaries...in other words, they don't care what side they're on as long as they get paid. Thus, throughout the centuries they have been on both the side of the good and the bad.

Though they actually control more islands than Sannahet and their people are spread throughout the Munkaan Ocean, the Tarbiyans do not fancy water and Sannahet is actually much stronger than them in naval combat. Tarbiyaan is primarily a land-based nation. One of the main reasons for this is that their favorite mode of battle is on horseback, therefore it is hard to transport large groups of their army by water. On land, however, they are practically unstoppable and can move very quickly.

The government is very primitive in Tarbiyaan. Power is held by the five strongest warloards in the region. One can become one of the strongest simply by killing one of the current warlords. Therefore, power is very easy to gain or be lost, along with one's life. The country is relatively volatile, however all unite in case of a war. The Tarbiyans will always put each other before foreigners, except when money is involved.

Their cities are small and for the most part ramshackle. Most of the Tarbiyans live in small tents along the plains of the country. They unite once a year for their big 'gar' which is a meeting of all the warlords in the country.

Generally the Tarbiyans stick to themselves, but when they go to war they are unmatched in battle. Their small number does not even stop them from attacking a much larger force. Usually they are ensured victory. The one thing that makes them nervous is pike-men, because pikes can take out their horses before they can get close.

Their dress is simple, adequate for the extreme winters of the country and also for long periods in the saddle. Tarbiyaans value money and the richest men are the most successful, and also the most prone for assassination.

In Enderion, Srugoz bought the Tarbiyans' allegiance with gold and silver and convinced them to go against the Sannahet and the Enclave. The Tarbiyans were eager to avenge the Sannahet, who, legend has it, once conquered and enslaved the Tarbiyans.

---

That's the Tarbiyaans...hopefully I'll have the other few races finished by the end of the week :)
