So, I was thinking the other day. Naturally, my thoughts drifted to web design. I started thinking about all the principles we apply in making a web page have a visual hierarchy: proximitiy, size, color, shape, etc. Then I started thinking: 
why in the world can't we apply this to essence mapping as well?Let me clarify that 

 Basically, what I'm thinking of is a more graphical representation of an essence map, created in a graphics software like Photoshop or Fireworks. A graphical essence map would use the above principles to create a cluster (sort of like a wordle...see 
this thread) of the phrases in the essence map with a more graphical representation of the total essence.
If I've thoroughly confused you, I apologize. Hopefully I can write one of these up within a week and post it on here to show what I mean a little bit better
