Now...

A pony - our chance of escape.

A peaceful, pristine meadow - our battleground.

How did a rose kill him?

Swimming pools - supposedly fun, right? Wrong.

I was dying for a stranger.

The swimming pool hid a secret.

Upstairs, downstairs - where was the killer?

The creature's tentacles engulfed me.

My own uncle wanted me dead.

The killer hid on the roof.

He found the hidden, legendary sword.

He covered it in shining blood.

The sword that would free them.

Why was the back door open?

The swimming pool was on fire!

Unfortunately, they are - just not in the same way my/our Hemingways suggest...

The witch was dead - wasn't she?

Death by flashlight - quite original, eh?

The prison was thirty feet underwater.

Dancing with death, playing with poison.

NO NEW HEMINGWAYS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

It's time for the Crushmaster to take matters into his own hands.

Ahh, raw meat. Shark feeding time.

An ordinary jog turned into madness.

This only happened in movies - right?

The car turned - then it disappeared.

Werewolves surrounded the camp, howling wildly.

Alright*, people! Let's get going here! ;)

*Logically, all right should have morphed into alright, just like all ways morphed into always, etc. Somehow it didn't. Yet, it's an acceptable usage, and, it's the most logical one, as well. All right is not logical, considering the way its brethren went.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! Dead.

Yes, I thought of that. ;) But it did not inspire it. ;)

High in the tower, darkness fell.

Suddenly, beautiful singing met my ears.

It was just a joke. Supposedly.

I was supposed to be dead.

Umm... I couldn't sleep last night... So this is what I wrote. Can you tell I wrote them at night?

Mornings are brightest after long nights.

Wounds leave scars that last forever.

Always a sun behind the clouds.

Strength has many definitions, all unique.

A hand caught the falling man.

DANGER: cliff, stay away from edge.

No words could describe the pain.

Sometimes silence is the only solace.

Do not forget the falling man.

 * Wonders how one can run out of ideas for Hemingways *

Sunlight brought death instead of life.

Sadly, I watched, when I died.

Every day grew an hour longer.

The scream wasn't from earth.

Funny. How small something endless seems.

Those are great, Bethany! :D

His invisible smile betrayed his feelings.

Only one, I know.

Ooh! I love ones that are 'strange' but only after you read them a few times over. The sunlight one is great, Bethany!

Thanks, DairyMaid and Andrés!

I like yours, DairyMaid. It has a lot of mystery in it that makes me wonder. :D

He blames himself; don't know why.

Not so cool. :(

Nice work, friends! It's been way too long since I've joined in...Time to change that!

He was always just in time.

My flashlight suddenly died. Not cool.

The pen ran out of ink.

Rescue her, then run, run, run!!!

Not too many. :( Alas. Perhaps Suiauthon or another comrade shall post some more, then I'll do the same. :P

Barbed Wire. Armed men. Too easy.

My flashlight shined into red eyes.

Here you go, Crush. ;)

Thanks!

Epic!!! Me like. :D

She, the hostage; I, the rescuer.

Heroes, to him, were pathetic worms.

High in the tower, she waited.

Deep in the catacombs, I searched.

A stranger, her hope of rescue.

Valiantly, he fought - and he won!

These are awesome.

The flames illuminated a mad face.

The martyr died; yet she lived.

Their spirits were linked across time.

His eyes glowed, fiercely intense: revenge.

It was like they'd met before.

Joy and sorrow know no boundaries.

A whole new world: childlike eyes.

I kinda forget about this thread for a while, but now I am back and feel like adding a couple. :) These ones link together, so maybe it's not a true Hemingway, but I was feeling creative and liked the prospect of several linked to make a very short story

It's impossible, he thought, facing despair.

Not with God, a voice said.

What? Who are you? Leave me!

I am the only God. Listen.

He sat down to wait, ready.

I am the truth, light, hope.

Nothing is impossible with me. Ever.

He stood up, wielding his sword:

Ready, with God on his side.

It's based on Luke 1:37, 'Nothing is impossible with God'.

Hehe... I know I kinda was gonna leave from here because of being busy with school, but I had like an hour of spare time or so... so I did this...

11:59 o'clock, then clocks struck 1.

While digging down, he found up.

One was dying... man? Or walrus.

"Methinks it dead!" ... he was wrong...

Two presidents dead... in one day

Where has the capitol building gone!

The only water... turned to blood!

She sung her baby's last lullaby.

A broken train-track... still in use.

He kicked kittens,then the bucket.

They started to act like lemmings...

The voices erupted from the walls...

One piece of paper... endless possibilities.

A man in a dragon's body.

The magic word holds no boundaries.

The tongue is mightier than pens! (Everyone knows the old saying right?)

They laid, unknowingly into vampire grass.

"Just one drink." 'Twas his death.

It printed not paper, but people.

Worldwide, trees grew into horrible ents!

His own book, became his reality.

Sucked into a videogame... into death.

"Winged girl,50,000$ reward. Preferred dead."

Aliens and cavemen don't mix well...

Medieval knights are good with AK-47's...

"Declined: Too unprestigious for walrus dinnerparty."

We can build our own worlds...

He neared the sun, death; near.

"Everybody's doing it!" Last words spoken.

Mind reading devices, the real apocalypse.

Him, fast as cars, as destructive.

Recipe for the the world, found.

"Oh no! Where did earth go?!?!"

A beast in a man's body.

Seas and land, no longer separated.

Night and day, the same time.

Darkness covered, unquestioned, light gone forever.

Now...

Heads were rolling, hearts were breaking.

Two guards. BLAM! BLAM! Not anymore.

Broken glass, mind games, stop. Silence.

Double agents always choose a side.

If I tried, I could die.

Dying? Better than being a coward.

Not that many. :( Oh well...

They're still good ones. :D

Here are some Hemmingways about my poem I hope to finish someday. ^_^

He arrived, but not in time.

The winged horse, writhing in blood.

The former hunter became a guardian.

Yes! You shall finish it!!!

One sheriff. Thirty cutthroats. Just right.

Tumbleweeds - the forgotten town's only occupants?

Bars - lovely places. For rotten criminals.

Snakebites. Not my idea of fun.

The law? Me. Yeah - just me.

These all have a Western theme. The person above me knows why. ;)
