For all of you interested, Shawn and I just made a enormous post about creating a Treasure Planet story, Holy Worlds style. We have named certain people for characters, so if your names are listed below, you probably want to check it out. The link will be provided at the bottom. Also, the final character "castings" are not set in stone as of yet, so if you'd rather not be in it, let me know.

Never heard of Treasure Planet...don't know if I'll volunteer based on time. What is the story about?

It's basically a science fiction version of Treasure Island that combines CGI and animation amazingly.

Or you could talk to Shawn about her part. *recalls something about jokingly volunteering for the part...* Otherwise, you could be one of those "extras" in the Benbo Inn, or since none of the HRM have volunteered yet, you could volunteer to be a mutinous crew member.

Um, yes, feel free to volunteer to play Scroop. I jokingly volunteered, and... yeah. He's close enough to a spider for this poor arachnophobe.

I can't believe I didn't think of that... I think we can pull it off.

Audio recording the story sounds like a great idea! But we first need the story to record.

I still need to hear from Luke the Mindwielder, Sir Emeth Mimetes, BushMaid, HRMs (or anyone who wants to volunteer for their parts as the mutinous crew), and Jonathan Garner. I also need a final answer from eruheran, and would like to know if Aeleknight is accepting Shawn's part.

This is all coming together amazingly! As soon as we get all the parts sorted out, we can begin writing.

This sounds absolutely awesome! I'm flattered to have been nominated for a part. However, there are some problems for me:

One is the time factor. I'm not sure I'll have oodles of time to help work on this, so I'm thinking it will probably be unfair to y'all to accept the part and then not be here for half the time.

Second is the fact I haven't seen the movie, and I hadn't even heard of it till now. I don't think it's possible for someone who has never seen the movie to play her part efficiently.

Thirdly, if you're recording it, the time zone won't work too kindly for everyone all over the globe, and I don't think any characters in Treasure Planet have an Aussie accent.

So as much as I'd love to be a part of this, I don't think I'm going to be a great choice for that character.

Bushy, you don't really need to have seen the movie to play the part. It's not a huge role (just at the veeeerrrrry beginning and veeeeeeerrrrry end), and I think you would do fine. If you choose to still decline, that's fine. If you choose to accept, we'll help you out. Also, the recording thingy, we would probably just record our own separate files and then put them all together... *is not sure what we would do at this point* And having an aussie accent would be epic. No pressure, though. I just wanted to let you know all that. If you don't want to, we'll find someone else.


Also, the part for Billy Bones is now open! Jonathan turned that part down. Any volunteers?

I don't think I'll be able to do this - thank you for selecting me, though. If Aeleknight would like to take that part, that's fine with me. Have fun, and I want to see/hear it when it's done!

If y'all ended up doing voice recordings...I'd...probably drop out, mainly because I'm a terrible actress, even through voice. Also, I have no way to record my voice for more than a minute or so at a time.

Hehe...well, I'm not very fond of recording myself, morphing my voice into strange and unusual pitches to imitate a creature from a movie.

You don't have to imitate it, you could make it your own.

By the way, all, Seer cannot do the part of B.E.N. anymore, so that part is up for grabs, too. And, these "guy" parts don't necessarily have to be played by guys. Girls can play them, too. Don't worry about the recording stages right now, if you're hesitant to volunteer because of that. We're just needing to get the story out on paper first. If no one volunteers, we can split up the roles, but I think it'll be more fun if others volunteer too.

ANNOUNCEMENT: We have almost ALL of the characters assigned! I just need a volunteer for Billy Bones, and I need to hear back from BushMaid on whether or not she is joining. I don't believe Bushy is, though, so if anyone (even if you already have a part) want to volunteer for the part of Sarah Hawkins, please do! And, volunteers for the evil crew would be nice, but we can just all play those parts if we need to. As soon as we get all of the parts together, we can begin writing the story. We may even be able to begin writing today if we get the volunteers.

And, Shawn, it looks like you're stuck as the spider guy... Unless you want to be one of the above mentioned characters and let someone else take your role.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this, Nemo. I'm sorry to say I won't be able to take the part. Even though this role may be small, it's another project that I really don't have the time to commit to. Very sorry! I hope someone else will volunteer for the part.

Note: I'm doing Long John and B.E.N. Or would that be Long Jean since I'm making him French? Haha.

We're just about ready to begin writing the story. I've decided to go ahead and volunteer to cover the two characters not taken in the story so we can get this started. If you want to volunteer to be Billy Bones (his role is really really small), please do so!
