Ok, so I wasn't really sure where to post this, so I am just taking the plunge and posting here.
I am kinda confused about what the whole nanowrimo thing is about. If anyone could explain the process or has done nanowrimo and can give me some insight into why and how it's done, it would be much appreciated!
Yours truly,
Ana

I won NANOWRIMO 2011!!!

Albert Einstein asked a question that sometimes makes me hazy: " Am I or are the others crazy ?” ;)

"I once said I would kill this man but now I'm multipling him?" Ana shouted to the sky almost crying as she did so.
The tall dark Assasian Maverick stood watching her, his inqisitive eyes locked on her like a bird on its prey, he had heard what she had said, it came like an avelanch to him, His and Ana's life was about to get a lot more complicated
(This about somes up my storys plot)

Hello Ana! Nanowrimo is an acronym for National November Writing Month. It's a website: www.nanowrimo.org It's a challenge where you try and write a whole novel in one month: November. :D Before the challenge begins, you set your word count goal. (for example, you might want to write a 50,000 word novel in the month, or a 15,000 word novel, etc.) There is a place where you can update your word count whenever you write more of your novel. To win NaNoWriMo, you achieve your word count goal and finish your novel. :D

On the website they have a forum similar to this one, to talk about your writing, and other related stuff. It's basically done for fun and for a challenge. :D

I hope that helps!

I think it might only be the Young Writer's Program where you can set your own word goal.

Ohhh, I think you're right, Leandra. The one that you set your own word count goal, Ana, would be www.ywp.nanowrimo.org which is basically the same thing for juniors. :)

Actually, it's National Novel Writing Month, Busheh. :D On the adult site you have to write 50,000 words to officially win, but on the Young Writers site you can set your word count goal.

OLL (Office of Letters and Light, the hosts of NaNo) has a summer program like NaNoWriMo. They did one this July and another one is currently in progress this month. It's called Camp NaNoWriMo and we have a thread about it here. :D
