We're getting a puppy! And yes, I will show people pictures after I get her tomorrow afternoon. But, this puppy is mine. I will also be taking over the care of our other dog for the most part. This is going to drastically reduce how much time I have to spend on the computer, especially when added to that I have normal life, the secret project *looks knowingly at her little minions* and all the "harvesting" that goes on between now and the end of August in our little garden. ('kay, not so little garden.) I'm going to try to keep up with the forums, but try as hard as I can not to be sucked into the unproductive vacuum of chat. If you still want to chat me, there's a good chance you're on my GChat list or could be. :D

So! Till this dog is old enough that it doesn't make messes in the kitchen nor need taken out every half hour and till life settles down to a manageable state, I bid you all farewell! (or sorta, since I'm not totally leaving, I'm just warning you that I'm not going to be as much, but "I bid you farewell" is fun... yah... whatever. XD)

I know the feeling, Manda! House training a puppy can be pretty hard and takes dedication. Congrats on getting a puppy! Enjoy! ;) Have you chosen a name?

*sniffles* What will I do without a big sister to annoy in the mornings, though? :'( I'll be all alone...

*cough* That aside... Have fun with your new puppy, Manda! :D

Enjoy your time with your puppy before it gets too old to be a puppy anymore! :D

Thank you all, I plan on having fun! :dieshappy: (how can one not have fun with a puppy? ;) )

Aw, don't worry, Bethy. You're one of the people on my GChat list, remember? XD Gchat's not quite as much of a vacuum as HWChat. ;)

Nope, we've not chosen a name for her yet. But I'm working on it. :) (I want something like Luthien or Galadriel or Elbereth or Glithoniel... but mom says those are all unpronounceable. XD )

Oh, yay! We just got a puppy. Her name is Tessa. She is a 12 week old border collie.

Hope you enjoy your new puppy! What kind are you getting?

Your puppy sounds adorable! There was a collie (or half collie, we didn't ask) at the shelter, but although she was a wonderful dog, she was four and we decided we really wanted a puppy. :)

We're getting a blue heeler (or if you prefer, Australian blue cattle dog) and Samoyed mix. :D Since both are working breeds, that means that this dog is going need a lot of exercise, but mum wants to get a pack for her after she's grown, and that'll be fun. :D

So adorable! That bottom picture kinda looks like my... "dog" (technically it's just a stray that is living in our yard...)

Hmm let's see if I can get a picture...

Status report on Jasmine! She's figured out that if she lays down while we're taking her on a walk, we won't drag her. (since we don't want to hurt her neck/head) Her adorableness is leaving a bit now that she's learned how to be annoying. XD Still, though, we're quite happy with her progress. :D When we got her, she was terrified of everything, now she's only scared of other dogs (it doesn't help that two have rushed her, a boxer and some sort of small yippy dog, since we got her) and recycle bins (haven't figured that one out yet). She still makes puddles on the floor which I still have to clean up, but maybe she'll get over that with time? :P

@Az - Haha, cool. :D Indeed, Jasmine is a neat name, made more so by the people and animals that bear it. *motions to Bushy, my dog, and your cat* :D

She's an escape artist, a scaredy-cat, and a piece of pure hyperactivity. Nothing can wear her out, except for stressful things like going into the van (we're practicing with her for when we have to take her to the vet to be spayed in another month). She still has accidents, but they're lessening, which is nice. :D She also enjoys biting at people's heels and legs (probably because she's a herding dog) and running circles around them.

Still, she's the most loveable little thing and will climb on top of you and lick you. :dieshappy: And she conveniently sleeps all afternoon. XD
