An úlfur maður is a human with the ability to transform into a wolf.

In human form, it has wolf features such as the gray hair and the razor sharp claws. In wolf form, it has human characteristics, such as the ability to stand on its hind legs and speak.

They can't use magic or wield magical items, or they will fall apart, limb by limb, in approx. three minutes.

How they gained the curse to transform into a wolf, few know. The theory is that they are the turnouts of one of Lucifer's attempts to reform/manipulate the structure of Yeshua's creations.

Cool! So they are pretty much werewolves? How could they retain wolf characteristics as human?

Yes, they have gray hair and claws instead of nails.

Wait, gray hair all over, or just on the top of your head, like a normal human. Do they have extended life?

Hair is only on top of the head. They live for about 200 years.
