2011 HW Convention in St Louis Announcements

If you aren't yet aware, plans are well underway for a meeting of Holy Worlders in St Louis coming up very soon!

We are currently choosing a date/s for our meeting.
Please go to the 2011 Convention Poll thread and take the poll if you are interested in attending!

For those of you who simply cannot resist the urge to post even if you aren't able to participate
I have included a "Rats I'm so bummed I can't go" option.

Plans are firming up for the convention!

We have taken Treskillard up on his offer to let us meet at his home for one of the days!

He has provided a digital map for us which we will PM to each attendee. If you are planning to meet with us on Saturday, July 23rd please send me a PM with the subject MAP so I will know who needs the map.

I'm checking out state parks in the area for the other day and am still kind of trying to decide which day would be better (Friday or Sunday) I think one more person said they could come on Friday. So I'm leaning toward Friday. I'm thinking about Castlewood state park (about 40 min out of St. Louis) Thoughts?

Plan to bring anything you want to share or show off! Fantasy clothing, implements, first drafts, laptops for a skype session, snacks to share if you want, picnic lunches for your attendees, all that fun stuff! Water! We'll be talking A LOT

Oh! nearly forgot. Does someone who is attending the convention want to organize the skype session for Saturday? I'd like to have an hour or two at most set aside as designated time for that. It would be nice to set up a poll to see when those who can't attend in person would be most likely to skype in. Then we would need to see who all can bring laptops that are skype ready preferably with webcams!

Volunteers?

Our internet is high-speed, but not super-high. It would be best if we setup one computer with a webcam and had everyone from outside skype to that.

Also, we have a way of hooking up a really fantastic HD digital camera on a tripod to a skype session, so we would be able to set it up in corner if that makes sense. We can test it out here ahead of time and use one of our laptops that we have here ... maybe Adele's.

One thing about that...you can't conference call (more than two people) with video, unless you have skype's pro plan or whatever... Eru and I would be most likely to skype in anywhere from 2-6:30 EST... whatever works best for y'all...

We can also do it in the morning, likely between 7-11 EST...

If it were only voice and not video, our internet could definitely handle more people. Also, I'm quite sure we can pool you together, as Sir Emeth and Timotheus did that when they interviewed me for the Holy World PodCasts.

I'd just like to mention that with the new version of skype it is possible to create/join conference calls of up to five people. @Elanhil.

I have the Skype party slated for noon Central Daylight Time Saturday July .
St Louis is currently UTC/GMT -5 hours

Those that I know will be in attendance are be Celestria, Airianna, Treskillard, and Lady Eruwaedhiel.

I'd advise that you message them this week to set up a connection. ♥
