Holy Worlds Main Page

For the past couple weeks, Emeth, Vanya, Vili, and I have been working on redesigning the main page of HW, turning it from a simple link to the fantasy forum into a full-fledged site.

It's now live, and you can check it out here: http://holyworlds.org

In addition to the main page, we've also added bios of ranked members and featured users, a list of projects, and an official vision. Soon to come are a listing of HW wallpapers, and a history of the site. :cool:

We've got more awesomeness planned in the immediate future, so stay tuned! :book:

*doffs hat and makes a deep bow* Might I just say, to Emeth, Dieki, and Villie: that is one epic masterpiece of web design. It is absolutely magnificent, and I congratulate you all on your sheer awesomeness that brought it to life. I am completely floored at it! :shock:

That. is. awesome.

You guys all did a fantastic job. The colors, the textures, the fire ( :cool:

)...it's nothing short of awesome!

I loved the member bios, they had me chuckling all the way.

And the vision page... :shock:

I don't think I've ever read HW's vision statement spelled out so clearly and beautifully. I don't know about the rest of ya'll, but it sure inspired me. So if you haven't read it, go! Read it. Now.

It looks amazing!

I did notice some grammatical errors in the Projects page.

Talking about the poetry book: "When completed it will be first book to be published by Holy Worlds." It should be "When completed it will be the first book to be published by Holy Worlds."

Talking about the HWCS: "in the process, forging not only worlds, but friendships as well." I think the comma after "process" should be removed. "In out story, the gap between these segregated spheres suddenly bridged and it's a race to restore God's order before one Giant world overtakes the other two, destroying the universe entirely." Our, not "out." And I think you're missing an "is" between spheres and suddenly. The "one Giant world" seems odd; should "one" be "the" or maybe drop the "Giant"?

*puts red pen back in its holster*

Anyway, I love it! It all looks fantastic.

Thank you, Leandra. As I explained to Philadelphia most of the writing was done by me, and I was completely uninspired, and it is all unedited, unreviewed, and most uninfluenced by anyone else. I wrote it late at night and then handed it to Dieki.

So! In other words, if anyone sees any errors please let me know.

And on another side note, that "About Us" page is not complete. There's probably another dozen people who will end up on it.

But that aside, I'm glad you all like it. I've had access to it for a week or so now, helping out, and it's been hard to conceal the excitement. <grin>

P'raps on the about page we could somehow categorize those, instead of having a flat list? Especially if you are planning on adding the rest of the forum team to it...

Oh, and I already said this on Buzz, but the site looks AWESOME!! *hands Villi, Dieki, and Jay each a foot-diameter chocolate chip cookie *

I have his name in my PMs somewhere to change it to, but it recently got flooded and I haven't cleared it out yet. It will change, it will change...

I think Varon requested that because he doesn't like his name online.
