Aiisha: Arctax and Azura, sitting in a tree...

Kyra: Oh, stop it.

Aiisha: *smirks*

Kyra: Where'd you learn all these American jokes, anyway?

Aiisha: Well, from you, of course. Did you think I'd find them in Alister's dictionary?

Kyra: I guess not.

Me: I'm not specifying if Kyra and Forrest live in the US or Canada... all we need to know is that they are from a town called Loneoak.

Kyra: A really rainy town.

Me: Ooo! I should write an essence map on Loneoak!

Kyra: *sarcastic* That'll be interesting. *serious again* So, when are you gonna write about us? Like, chapters and stuff?

Me: *sigh* When I get all the stuff about Cirwyn and Jayan and the gang out of my brain. Reading the Door Within trilogy gave me bunches of ideas for another story...

Kyra: Please don't forget about us.

Me: I won't.

Rowen: I see. It is a pleasure to meet their offspring.

Tesmir: [Flipping knife in a bored way] So, are there other races in your world, Rahor?

Niarah - (glances at her brother) Hmm. Sounds like we have to distinguish ourselves from our parents in here.

Rahor - (looks bored) Never a problem for you, dear sister. Tesmir, it depends on what you mean by races. We have all manner of fur-bearing creatures, but we've never seen a human or an elf before. How about in your world?

Thysal - (to Aiisha) Nice one. I actually tried singing that one time, but got attacked by the missy with a stick over here (indicates Niarah).

Niarah - It's not a stick, it's a bo! Seriously, though, you just got in the way. When I'm practicing, I don't stop for anyone.

Traxus - (shakes head) It's better to behave with a little more self control then to go wild.

Niarah - How much more self-control do I need? I think, being the Ilarian Princess, that I have too much of it already.

Rahor suddenly has a coughing fit. Niarah glares at him.

Niarah - Saw that laughter.

Me - Maybe I should've stuck to the originals and left you guys out.

Traxus - What fun would that be?

Niarah - None at all.

Tesmir: I see. Race-wise, Piensor has Elves, Humans, and Dwarves. Along with, as no doubt youve heard, half-Elves. ANd two others, Verians and Meriaks. Verians are the nicer ones, while Meriaks are their dark counterparts. Both have wings.

Rune: And both can be very dangerous.

Tesmir: Huh?

Rune: It's easy to ruffle the Verian's feathers. And when you do, it takes a long time for them to cool down. Meriaks, however, are just plain dangerous.

Rowen [Snarls] They feed on the fear of their prey, making them go mad and unable to keep any sanity.

Seymour: While Verians gain nourishment from the sun's rays.

Tesmir: If you think about it, Elves, Humans, and Dwarves are just boring compared to them.

Seymour: Aye.

Rowen: And...?

Tesmir: And dragons. Dragons are another... race? Do they count as a race?

Cory: Kiane do.

Tesmir: True. Anyway, there are dragons, but they've gone and sealed themselves up underground. We still don't even know how the guy found Rowen's egg.

Cory: [To Thysal, with a playful smile] Well that must've been fun.

Me: Whew! I’m back. You don’t know how long it took me to catch up with all this. Take a few days off to write, lose complete track of your characters, and then once you track them down you come back to find you’re pages behind.

Dreamer: *shoots a glance at Michael* It’s his fault. He’s the one who got us lost in the first place.

Michael: If I remember correctly we were both lost. And that wasn’t completely my fault.

Dreamer: I know, I know. But you should have let me climb that tree. I’m lighter and have better balance than you do. Then maybe we could have gotten here sooner.

Michael: *cocks his head and raises an eyebrow* You would climb a tree in a dress, Protector?

Dreamer: *blushes* Well, no… I… um…

Michael: So Rahor you’re a Prince too? I sympathize. I find it’s not the easiest thing to follow in your father’s footsteps.

Dreamer: We will find your father again Michael. Besides, I’m sure you’ll make a great king when the time comes.

Michael: I pray that time isn’t now.

Dreamer: And Niarah, I can’t believe this! I knew your mother way back when – well, let’s not think about that. I suddenly am beginning to feel very old when I think about it.

Michael: Speaking of which – Protector have you ever thought about settling down? You know find a husband? Have kids?

Dreamer: I’m only seventeen. If you really want an answer ask me again in a year or two – preferablely two.

Me: *clears throat* So Zoey… what are your dragon’s like?

Dreamer: Ours are huge, fire breathing beasts…

Michael: Not to mention man eating. Although I do believe the blood of a patriot once ran in their veins. *mutters to himself* We could use more of those.

Dreamer: *cringes* Yes, the dragons of the valley are not the pleasantest things to meet. Trust me when I say that. *glances over at Michael* Why are you looking at me like that?

Michael: I’m just trying to figure out which time with the dragons you were referring to.

Aiisha: Zoey, sorry I didn't tell you sooner. My name's pronounced "eye-ee-shuh"

Alister: "shuh"? It is not to be pronounced "shuh", sister.

Aiisha: Oh, you talk like a Sardan rebel.

Alister: That's because I am a Sardan rebel.

Kyra: Ali! *leans over and whispers in his ear, her eyes darting around* There could be spies here.

Alister: I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, dear.

Aiisha: *in perfect mimic of her brother* Dear. *smirks*

Kyra: Oh, shut up. *grins and rolls her eyes*

Me: Sooo...

Forrest: So what?

Aiisha: Exactly.

Me: [to Forrest] Where'd you come from?

Forrest: Ayer and I were bringing the last of the goats into the pen for the afternoon. Alister, you really need to fix that fence - it's ready to break.

Alister: I will go fix it now. Goodbye, everyone!

Kyra: I'll come with you.

Aiisha: See what I mean?

Me: I'm not entirely sure. The only dragon seen so far would be Rowen, and he's basically a calm, protective, but somewhat easily angered type.

Rowen: I am not.

Tesmir: Well what about the one Tou saw? The big black one?

Me: That.... yeah, there's him. But I don't know if he'll show up again. He was more of a grumpy old dragon who tries to kill intruders.

Rune: He was probably a guard for the entrance of the dragon cave.

Me: You are a genius.

Tesmir: Him?

Me: That's what that dragon wil be!

Cory: She's really thought through the whole story, hasn't she?

Me: No, I haven't. The basic plot is barely shaped. That's how I write. I don't write out outlines, scenes, and whatnot before I start. I just plow ahead. So I haven't quite worked out all dragons yet, I'm afraid.

Rowen: I suppose Piensor dragons could have personalities of all types. They could be protective and wary, or energetic and friendly.

Me: Why is it that whenever I talk, I know nothing, and then you all hand out ideas?

Cory: Because you think of them when you've finished speaking, so we say it.

Me: [Ignores] It's OK, Aiisha. I'd actualy forgotten I had asked. ;)

Me: Welcome back Celestria!

Matt: Why can't we have dragons? :? :( :)

Me: Didn't we go over this, a ways back?

Phillip I don't think so...

Me: Okay then, I wanted to be different, plus even if I wanted to change it now, my world has just solidifying. That would mess it all up again.

Raug: We don't need know stinkin dragons, this Gryphin's bad enough!

Charcoal: Raaawwwrrrr!!!!

Griffin: Whoooaa! Easy boy. Raug, you need to learn not to mess with the Gryphin!

Raug:

Timuth: I'm starting to feel the minority of the villians again, especially with Zanraz gone.

Ravork: No matter. They would all go down before my armies.

Me: Can't you guys stop angering the other charries!

Matt: Bye!! :D :) ;) :D

Me - Zanraz was getting out of control.

Niarah - I could've handled him!

Rahor - That was before our time.

Me - Plus, having you and the others in the same post would creep everyone out. Including your parents, me, and the other Holy Worlders.

Thysal - This is already creeping me out.

Me - Although, if everyone wants to, I can erase these guys and bring the others back.
(Niarah, Rahor, and Traxus look horrified)

Niarah - What!?

Thysal - That would be scary. Very scary.

Traxus - Ciela, you need a hobby.

Me - That's what you guys are for.

Rahor - (sarcastically) Thanks for reminding us. (changes subject) Hi Dreamer! Did you say that your guide got you lost? I can certainly relate.

Niarah - (sniff) Lets see you do a better job, Princeling. (to Dreamer) So what did your friend mean when he called you Protector?

Thysal - Love this family affection. Rowan, are there many other dragons in your world, Piensor? (<-- did I spell that right?)

Niarah - Aiisha and Alister, are you two siblings as well?

Rowen: [Looks amused] Aye, you spelled it right. Hmm... not many, I do not think. Dragons prefer open space, with room to fly and such. When they sealed themselves underground, so many of them would cause trouble, and most likely earthquakes. So there may not be very many. But this story about the black dragon interests me.

Cory: Yeah, because you missed the whole thing when we were in Zuzion. You were asleep.

Rowen: I was young

Cory: Of course you were, you were only two days old, at least. But why does it interest you?

Rowen: Because, as we've realized, that if the black dragon had appeared, then the seal is possibly broken, and dragons could be freed. I would be with my own kind.

Me: You're really jumping ahead of the story bit, aren't you?

Rune: [To Thysal] Try living with seven other brothers.

Tesmir: And being the youngest!

Rune: I would have said eldest. Tilmere has more of a responsibility than you.

Tesmir: Yeah, but I'm the one that gets bossed about like I'm some pack mule.

Rune: Yesmir!

Tesmir: [Ignores and looks away]

Seymour: Is this what it is like to have siblings?

Me: Haha, sometimes. ;)

Seymour: It's miracle they don't kill each other.

Hi everyone! (this includes everyone's characters) :D
When I saw this thread, it looked really fun (if you could put it that way) Since I'm new-ish here, I haven't really introduced any of my characters, only the history of my world and the geography... along with a creature.. anyway, I will give a quick background on them before I introduce them... I hope I am doing this right. :o

Serena Knight: (main character, not me)(human)
Age: 15 (might change to 16, still not sure)
Hair: waist length, curly Raven locks
Eyes: bright Amethyst
Role in Story: Main character, a servant/entertainer for the dragon court of Aureliana and Braxlin

Mattimeo Hildar: (human)
Age: 16
Hair: chestnut brown
Eyes: Hazel
Role in Story: Childhood friend of Serena's, an esteemed hunter in the Dragon's League.

Eclipsi (dragon)
Age: in human years, 16 (maybe 17)
Color: Obsidian scales
Eyes: stunning Amethyst
Role in Story: Dragon daughter of Braxlin and Aureliana, friend to servant Serena Knight (main character)

Me: I hope that sets everything up nicely... so here they are. Introduce yourselves :D

Serena: Hello! It is a real pleasure to be in front of such a great crowd. I am Serena Knight, a servant/entertainer. *bows*

Mattimeo: *smiles* It is a great honor. I, am Mattimeo Hildar, a hunter with the Dragons League... But you can call me Matt, like most of my friends do... *looks at Serena* Umm...

Eclipsi: Well, I guess now is a good time to step in. I'm Eclipsi, the daughter of the great dragons Braxlin and Aureliana. I will Choose a human soon to Guard and enter into the Column, the goverment of Laishna.... Serena is my closest human friend.

Serena *smiles* Aaww, thanks Eclipsi.

Eclipsi: *flaps wings in embarrassment*

Me: You guys are too much.

Serena: Is that considered a good thing? The way you put it, I mean.

Me: haha, it can be.

Serena: *ponders this* ok, then I will take it as a good thing.

Mattimeo: *laughs*

Eclipsi: I'm hungry... *turns and leaves*

Me: Well, I guess Eclipsi will come back later...

Serena: I would like to address those who were talking about 'peasants' before...

Mattimeo: Here we go *rolls eyes*

Serena: *slaps Mattimeo* behave. I would just wish to say that being a 'peasant' isn't really a bad thing. Actually in my opinion, it is better to be a 'peasant', I find that I am more thankful for everything I receive, more so as some of the richer people in Seravaile.

Mattimeo: *glares at Serena* though she could be wrong about judging people.

Serena: Very well, whatever you choose to think.

Eclipsi: *enters with a plate of food* You two would make a great couple.

*Serena and Mattimeo blush*

Me: Well. Isn't this fun... I think it's time you say goodbye now.

Eclipsi: Ok. Bye!

Mattimeo: Goodbye everyone... ... *leaves room*

Serena: Well then... until we meet again! :D *bows*

*Eclipsi and Serena leave*

Well, I hope that was... entertaining

Rowen: A pleasure to meet all of you.

Lorielle: Hi!

Cory: Nice to meet you all.

Tesmir: Ditto to what they said.

Seymour: Aye. Your characters are quite lively. All that you describe interest me. Is your world mainly populated by dragons?

I'll have Serena tell you :D

Serena: Hello again! Well, there are only around 11 dragons (formerly 12) on the planet Laishna. Six of those are on the goverment ruling system called the Column. Those six, paired with six humans, as Eclipsi mentioned earlier about the 'Guarded Humans'. The some of the other four dragons are offspring of one member of the Column. Since they only have one parent on the Column, they won't be able to ever be on the Column. Though when Eclipsi Chooses her human, she will be on the Column, since her parents are both part of it. So there are six on the Column, two female dragons that are not on the Column, though one passed away a few years back. That leaves two half-Column parented dragons and Eclipsi. I hope that is clear enough, since I don't often have to explain these things to the people on Laishna. :D

Me: If you want to learn a bit more, the history of the planet is in the 'History' topic :D

Cory: Alright, that sounds really cool.

Rowen: I agree. And not because I'm a dragon, too.

Seymour: You have a well-built government.

Me: Never thought of a government... But it's still really cool, Serena. I love the name for it. The Column. It's a strong name.

Cory: You never thought of a government?

Me: No. It's a miracle your world hasn't collapsed. But at least I gave it a king.

Cory: True. But maybe you might wanna build up something.

Tesmir: Naw, Piensor's fine without one. The king's a good man.

Me: Until a new one takes his place.

Tesmir: ....

Me: thanks everyone :) I sort of took the name of the "Column" from a TV show I watch called V.

Serena: What Is a TV?

Me: uhh... Nevermind. Anyway, I really appreciate the kind words :)

Eclipsi: interesting... I am pleased to meet a dragon from another realm :)

Serena: May I ask how many dragons are in your kingdom?

Rowen: As far as we can tell, probably not very many. The dragons in Piensor sealed themselves away undrground, and since us dragons enjoy open space, having a lot of dragons underground for many, many years would probably cause death and earthquakes.

Me: I've seen commercials for that show before.

Lorielle: A TV is a kind of box that you can watch things in. But nothing's inside the TV except a bunch of wires and stuff, and you can watch people from it... kind of. To put it in a nutshell.

Cory: Hey, better than us Piensorians could do.

Tesmir: I beg to differ.

Rune: You've never even seen a TV before.

Tesmir: Have too. That one Christmas we went to her world.

Seymour: I remember seeing it, but it was never on.

Lorielle: Because i knew it'd take forever to try and explain how it worked to you all.

Serena: I am very intrigued about this... TV. I will have to look into it...

Eclipsi: Earthquakes could be a very bad thing :( I wish the best of luck to your world :)

Me: your story sound very interesting :) and you characters seem very nice :)

Me: Thank you. ^^

Tesmir: [Winks] We try.

Rowen: Aye, earthquakes could be a very bad thing. But hopefully we'll be able to get them all out, if they're not already.

Lorielle: TV's are pretty nice most of the time. They can tell you what's going on on the other side of world. But... most of the time it's pretty trashy.

Matt: What's a TV? :? :D :?

Phillip: Glad you asked, Matt.

Me: Oh, boy.

Griffin: Here we go.

Phillip: A TV is an amazing contraption that transfers particles of light over long distances through a series of wires and electrical outlets. The picture is first seen through a camera that collects the light particles that our eyes perceive and makes up the picture we see with the human eye. The camera then transfers them , usually to a disk or hard-drive, so they can transported all over the world. The pictures are then sent through the electrical transports into a house's electrical system and from there, into to the TV, where you see the picture.

Raug: Right...

Matt: Great! :D :) :D  Whats a...

Tesra, Griffin, and Me: DON'T ASK HIM, MATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Timuth: (chuckle)

Ravork:I wish there was some action around. All this talk bores me.

(Suddenly a chill wind passes over everyone and they start to look on edge)

Griffin: What's that?

Charcoal: (low growl)

Me: No! Stop trying to get in the posts! I've barely even started on you! (to everyone else) Sorry about that, but we've got to go. Bye!

Matt: Bye! :D :) :D

Lorielle: I can't tell if he's trying to show off.

Seymour: [Laughs]

Rune: I'm sure he isn't. You explained as best you could.

Rowen: [Does your world have these... TVs, Phillip?

Me: My goodness it has been a while since we've visited this thread!

Amondor: I agree.

Me: *big sigh* Well, I'm afraid the story you guys are in is at a standstill.

Maksasi: What?!

Kyentae: Good Lanrete! That's terrible!

Me: I'm sorry guys. After finishing my short story, it's hard to feel inspired to tackle the huge job of your novel. *frowns*

Amondor: This is grave news, Calenmiriel.

Me: It is. Especially when you guys are so much fun to work with as characters. It's the plot that needs work. I don't even know the ending! *sob*

Makasi: I say we move on from the pity party.

Kyentae: Well spoken, my friend! *grins*

Me: *glares at them*

Amondor: That would be a welcome change, I'm sure, to the readers here.

Kyentae: So composed, Amondor! It's so hard for me not to laugh when Alnar scolds us, and you stand there like you want to sink through the ground in shame!

Amondor: We only get scolded by Captain Alnar because of your pranks. *gives Kyentae a look*

Makasi: I'd believe that.

Kyentae: No one said you had to participate in them with me. *smirks*

Amondor: It's hard not to when you drag me by the arm.

Makasi: When was this?

Kyentae: It was---

Me: Okay, no long stories now, Kyentae. I'm afraid we're going to cut it short here. Ta ta!

Kyentae: Ta ta? What on Lanrete's green earth is a "ta ta?" *gives me a big eyed look*

Me: *faceplams* Never mind! Farewell till next time!

Tesra: I don't think Phillip ever tries to show off, it just sort of happens.

Phillip: Precisely. No, alas, there are no TVs in my world, but my author has allowed me to read on this world's machinery.

Griffin: Alas? :? Since when do you say alas?

Phillip: Since now.

(continue arguing in the background)

Me: Uh, we have to get going before you don't know who tries to get in again.

Matt: Bye! :D  ;) :) :D

Me: Just plow ahead! Always works for me.

Tesmir: Because your stories never make it outside the house, they don't get read a thousand tiems over by editors.

Me: [Sniffs] Yeah, but still. And for your information, some stories have made it out.

Tesmir: Aye, but to relatives.

Me: Alright knock it off! I'll send you out. I'm not perfect, OK? Plotlines arne't a strong point, I'll admit, but I can't sit down and do a detailed outline of every chapter, I have to write!

Seymour: You've said that before.

Me: Yes but apparently my own characters need to hear it!

Cory: Easy, don't blow up at Tesmir. He meant no harm.

Me: [Sits] Yeah... I'll just hush up and let you all do the talking.

Lorielle: What's a Lanrete? It sounds like a bird.

Rowen: I'd like to hear the long story. Sounds like Cory and Tesmir aren't the only ones who get into mischief.

Lorielle: I wanna know who wants to get in! [Looks excited]

Rune: You want to know everything, lass.

Lorielle: That's how you get smart.

Arionwyn: Nice comeback, Lorielle. I'll have to use that one sometime.

Aaron: Don't even think about it.

*Arionwyn backs away*

Me: Introduce whoever's trying to get in, pllleeease? You're driving me insane. *exaggerated sigh*

Aaron: Your explanation of a...what is it...TV? sounds fascinating, Phillip.

Me: I've been thinking for a long time now that I need to write something where you come to my world. Just for develpment, of course --

Clark: Because you like to pick us apart piece by piece. I know. Fractalling is painful.

Me: Sorry, Clark. It was necessary. Anyway, it wouldn't go into the story, I just wanted to do it for fun.

Me: I am happy to hear I am not the only one who has plotline issues!

Makasi: Of course you are. *rolls eyes* You aren't that special.

Me: *glares at Makasi*

Kyentae: I can answer you question to "what is a Lanrete" or rather "who is Lanrete?" Lanrete is our Creator.

Me: Yes, Lanrete is what I named the diety of my story. *whipser* (Lanrete is Eternal spelled backwards.) *wink*

Amondor: You might have explained that earlier on.

Me: Excuse my mistake, young man!

Amondor: Pardon? I believe I'm older than you.

Me: You are a fictional character! It doesn't matter how old you are!

Kyentae: FICTIONAL????

Me: Yes, but I love you all dearly.

Makasi: How reassuring.

Me: Ha. Ha. That's enough for tonight. Bye!

Me: Lanrete is a very creative name, Eternal backwards! It's really cool.

Serena: Indeed. He Lanrete the name they call Jehovah?

Me: Yes. :D BTW I always have issues with my plotline (that or I can't find the words to write what I see in my mind)

Eclipsi: Why don't you just say 'by the way' instead of 'BTW'. You humans just see the need to shorten everything it seems.

(Serena stiffles a laugh)

Me: It makes it easier. :?

Serena: Lorielle, I do love what you said about 'that's how you get smart' :D I believe my friend Mattimeo, who is out hunting right now, would say the same thing as your friend Rune.

Eclipsi: Sorry to change the subject, but who or what is trying to get in? This is all getting very confusing.

Serena: If they are harmful, I can help fight. *her eyes glimmer with excitement as she pulls out a sword*

Eclipsi: Put that down before you hurt someone.

Serena: I know how to use it, thank you very much.

Eclipsi: Whatever..

Me: Well, that should be all until next time :) ...

Me: I wish I could bring him in, but in truth, he is not at all solidified. So far he is pretty cool, though.

Griffin: Yeah, but what is he?

Me: You guys should leave for this, you aren't supposed to know.

Tesra: We're staying.

Me: Fine, I'll just wipe your memory.

Matt:  :(

Me: He is a demon. Not a demon-possessed man, but a true demon in all its power. Swords might not do much against him, Serena. I am thinking of calling him Neko, ice shadow, but I'm not sure if it is long enough or sounds evil enough. :?

Me: Not so much i have problems with plotlines. I'm too eager to get started before I really work thigns out.

Tesmir: I thought you were letting us do the talking?

Me: Now I will.

Lorielle: [To Kyentae] Oh... that's really cool.

Rune: [Chuckles] She's a clever girl. Alrough she's never back-talked before.

Lorielle: I didn't mean it offensively, y'know.

Rune: Of course, but it's a new side of you.

Cory: We're lucky she didn't give us any of that during Darias chases.

Seymour: And when we went after you.

Cory: [To Griffin] He sounds powerful... How do you pronounce Neko? I'm getting it as 'Nee-koh', which sounds like a name for a cat.

Lorielle: A ferocious cat.

Cory: Sure.

Me: Actually, one of my cousins named her husky Ni'cko, which is pronounced Nee-koh. In a certain indian, it means 'Guardian of the Children.'

Serena: Interesting... a husky?
Me: It's an animal.

Serena: Oh. Cool... by the way, if anyone does need my help with a blade, I will gladly render my assistance. :)

Speaking of characters pronounced 'Nee-koh', I have a character named Niko in my sci-fi script that I was writing for ScriptFrenzy. ;) And then after I had gotten many pages written, I found out that depending on the ethnic background of the name, it could also be a girl's name (there is an old 80's tv show called Galaxy Rangers in which a major (female) character's name is Niko)

Apparently it's a popular name/pronunciation around here! ;)

Me: You know "neko" means cat person in Japanese. ^^ (I'm sort of an anime person.)

Makasi: Yeah she is.

Me: Serenea Knight, thanks for the compliment on the name Lanrete! I messed around with a few different word backwards and I liked eternal best!

Cory: You could switch up the vowels. Exchange the 'e' for a 'u' and the 'o' for an 'a'.

Thysal - Hi there! We've missed a lot.

Rahor - (speed reads through the posts) Alright . . . Serena, Eclipsi . . . TV, hmm . . . Right, Neko . . . demon thingy . . . name issue . . . Ok I'm good.

Niarah - Hello, Serena and Eclipsi, and any other newcomers!

Traxus - Do you mean the name Nuka, instead of Neko? I don't think that would work as well.

Me - It was the name of a villain from a movie, or something. If you want help with names, just let me know!

Me: Might've been in Lion King 2. But I could be wrong.

Cory: Zoey's created names from other words, usually ones that go along with personality or a good or bad side they are on. Like Mordir, she took the word 'mordant' which means cruel... I think.

Me: Somethin' like that.

Cory: I thought he was a pretty neat guy... until I ran away.

Loriele: And until he tried to kill you.

Cory: That too.

Arionwyn: Fifteen pages. *clicks tongue* My, my. Storygirl is in for a big surprise when she gets back. :)

Jacy: Quinze pages? Heureux je n'était pas ici pour plus d'entre eux.

Aaron: Chayten...

Chayten: Sorry. Jacy, say it again.

*Jacy sighs*

Jacy: Fifteen pages? Glad I wasn't here for most of them.

Aaron: Me too. I'm starting to get tired.

Arionwyn: Poor introvert.

*Aaron glares*

Me: Wow, fifteen pages.

Griffin: And Matt, Phillip, and I have been on nine of them.

Phillip: Well we're old timers.

Matt: :? I don't feel old. :D

Me: Oh, and I have an announcement about Timuth!

Phillip: Oh, boy.

Griffin: This can't be good.

Tesra: Can someone find me a rock to hide under.

Me: Stop it. It's not THAT bad. I've only decided to make him a warlock.

(stunned silence)

Timuth: (ignites a green flame on his finger) This is going to be fun.

Griffin: Wait! Please, if the bad guys have a magician, we need one too!

Me: Fine. Phillip, you are now a novice warlock.

(another stunned silence)

Phillip: Okay...

Tesra: Wait, but good guys aren't supposed to use magic.

Me: It isn't really magic, it is more a science of harnessing natures power. I'll have to start a thread on it in magic.

Phillip: Interesting, but haven't you said that you aren't going to use magic?

Me: I told you, it's not really magic. Besides, can't I change my mind?

Griffin: I suppose, since you do it constantly.

Me: Yeah, and on a finishing note I have changed Neko's name to Negraz, translated rough blackness. Other ideas for his name are Sarga, Kallangill, or Korsar. Those are names I just thought of, so I don't have meanings for them, yet.

Griffin: Again, with changing his mind.

Matt: Bye! :D  :) ;) :D

Note: I changed it to Melcorat instead of Warlock.

Arionwyn: A ... Warlock? What's that?

Chayten: Whatever it is, it does not sound good.

Iri: I would tend to disagree with that, Dun. *chortles*

*Chayten ignores him*

Jacy: What did he call you?

Chayten: N-nothing.

Kelly: He can't get past the barrier now, right?

*silence*

Kelly: Riiiight?

Aaron: No, of course not. The barriers are held by our authors, and no one can get across unless they will it.

Violet: Besides, Griffin (the Author) wouldn't do that to us.

*everyone looks at Griffin*

Phillip: Well, a warlock...

Me: Wait! Stop! Let me tell them. If you tell them, they will have no clue what you are saying. Okay, so you could say a warlock is a type of scientist. Like modern day scientists, a warlock observes the powers of nature so that he can use them. This is usually impossible without a certain, rare gene. This gene allows the possessor to interact with nature and bend it to his will. He need the actual object to use it, so it must be present or he must create it. To use fire, he could concentrate the sun rays in a smaller spot like a magnifying glass does. For water, he could even make the molecules connect, if he was learned enough. Generally, the smarter the user is, the more powerful he is.

Tesra: Okay then...

Me: Did I sound as bad as Phillip?

Phillip: Wait, that's implying that I sound bad in the first place!

Griffin: Not quite as bad as Phillip...

Me: I never got a response, positive or negative on the new names... And of course I will not allow Timuth to break the barrier.

Timuth: Let's try this fire thing. (Throws a bunch of fire at me, but it passes me harmlessly) What!?

Matt:

Me: Didn't you see Lady E's post? You can't hurt anyone unless I let you.

Matt: Bye! :D :) ;) :)

Note: I changed it to Melcorat instead of Warlock.

Cory: Negraz sounds cool. Very evil.

Seymour: So, a Warlock would be somewhat like a wizard?

Me: I have now changed warlocks to Melcorats.

Phillip: In a way, they are like wizards, but they do not use otherworldly powers to help them in their skills. It is like simply having a musical talent or athletic ability. It comes down through genes. It is very unlikely for you to be a Melcorat if neither of your parents were, though not totally, since it is a recessive allele.

Just in case someone doesn't know what an allele is. They are best described in Mendel's Principles.
1. The traits of an organism are determined by its genes.
2. Each organism has two alleles that make up the genotype for a trait.
3. Each parent contributes only one of its alleles to its offspring.
4. In each genotype, there is a dominant allele. If it exist in an organism, the trait is determined by that allele.
The recessive allele only determines the trait if there aren't any dominant alleles present.

Griffin: And you now have your introduction to Mendelian genetics. Of course in Anrica, this hasn't been discovered yet, so we had better not say anything.

Phillip: The advanced sciences of this world are quite fascinating.

Me: Glad you like the name ;)

Serena: Sounds very cool. In the history of my world, the first dragon, Serenade, passed down to my people the art of 'Magic' as they put it. She learned of this 'Magic' from who my people call Jehovah. Certain people still learn the 'Magic' though it was forbidden by Adriad, the dragon who restored my world once again to peace, because of how his father (the evil dragon) used it to bend people to his will. Since then, the Column has kept it illegal... though that does not stop people from practicing it...

Me: I still have to come up with a name for the 'Magic' :)

Eclipsi: I find it rather boring, though those stories put me to sleep very quickly, so it could be a good thing at night :)

*Serena rolls her eyes*
Serena: It's history. History is the only way to relive the past.

Me: I learned about alleles in science this year. The rest of the chapter wasn't so bad when I got down all the charts and stuff.

Rowen: [Swishes tail] Interesting... I wonder how magic came to be in Piensor?

Cory: It was probably always there. At least, we don't have any records of it showing up suddenly. The Elves and Dwarves knew about long before humans did.

Tesmir: I'm with Eclipsi. History's just about the most boring subject I've ever suffered through.

Rune: Oh? I am offended!

Tesmir: Well, I mean... uh, your teaching wasn't bad, of course, it was... um... very involved, I suppose. But history itself is enough to make anyone fall asleep!

Lorielle: I like it.

Seymour: Is there anytihng you don't like?

Lorielle: Sure, there's-

Cory: It's OK, Lori! Seymour wasn't serious. [Glares at Seymour]

Rowen: [Stands and stretches] As fun as discussing alleles and magic and history is, my limbs need to be stretched. [Flies off]

Phillip: I like history!

Matt: Me too! :D ;) :D :D

Griffin: Phillip, you like any subject, and Matt, well I think everyone has seen that Matt likes just about anything.

Raug: Aah, but what good do the past do ya in the present. I have no need for learnin!

Phillip: In history, you can learn from others mistakes and avoid them and you can learn by their success by duplicating it and defend yourself against others using it against you.

Tesra: You really don't want to argue with Phillip about what use learning is.

Ravork: All anyone needs to learn is the power of my blade.

Griffin: But you aren't the only one learned in the art of swordsmanship here!

Ravork: You are but a boy and the others in other post can't help you.

Timuth: As much as I hate to admit it, I believe Phillip is right, especially about military tactics.

Phillip: (spits on the ground) All you care about is more land!

(Griffin and Ravork glare at each other as well as Timuth and Phillip)

Me: I'm still not convinced its a good idea, but I'll bring in Negraz in the post if everyone wants me too.

Matt: Bye! :D :) ;) :D

Lorielle: Yeah!

Cory: Lorielle, one of these days you're gonna get yourself killed...

Tesmir: But she would be so oblivious to it she would somehow avoid death.

Seymour: Wouldn't put it past her.

Lorielle: What? I can't help it if I like to meet new people.

Tesmir: [To Phillip] Maybe... but History's just way too long, and there's so much to learn!'

Rune: For you, aye. But there are people whose brain is big enough to contain vast amount of knowledge.

Tesmir: Whose side are you on?

Arionwyn: Did I tell you that we Riders have magic as well?

Aaron: Quite potent magic, if I do say so myself. Healing spells to boot. I like your warlo--

Arionwyn: *ahem*

Aaron: Uh, Melcorats. I like them too. What do you think of them, Chayten?

*Chayten doesn't answer*

Me: He's sulking. He saw what I tried to post about him in the "Godly Romance" topic -- unfortunately the library computer kicked me off before I could post it.

Chayten: I am not sulking. I see you have something to attach there?

Me: You would notice that. Alright, here.

Yes, that is a hand-drawn picture of (or as close as I could come to) Chayten. It's sort of my version of anime. I'm quite proud of it. It might possibly be the best human --

Chayten: Human?

Me: Humanoid I've ever drawn. My, aren't we snappy today?

*Chayten frowns*

Me: That's actually supposed to be a Rider's pendant he's wearing, but it's nothing near the 'real' thing; there are supposed to be jewels around the edges alternating between the color of the dragon and the color that indicates the dragon's type (red=fire, white=ice), the knot is supposed to be far more complicated, and there's supposed to be a dragon engraving in the middle, but I couldn't draw one that small so it's just a pair of wings. Wish I could have colored the pic. It would be so much prettier with the chocolaty brown skin and golden eyes. ;)

Chayten:

Hi! This is my first time writing on this topic, but I've been reading everyones posts for quite a while. For now, I'm just going to let my three main characters speak... but I may let others join later. Let me introduce my characters:

Terra/Teresse
Species: Half human, half Vasai.
Gender: Female
Age: 16.
Hair: Elbow-length, curly dark chocolate locks.
Eyes: Bright green.
Role in Story: Main character, One of three women belonging to Greymoor's group of Hunters. Hides the secret of being a Vasai.

Malka
Species: Gray Wolf.
Gender: Male
Age: 3-4.
Hair: Black, grey and white.
Eyes: Blue.
Role in Story: Saved by Terra when mother abandoned him. Terra’s friend. Can speak, but only to the mind of a Vasai.

Eli Quatremaine
Species: Human.
Gender: Male
Age: 17 1/2.
Hair: Light brown.
Eyes: Blue-grey.
Role in Story: Member in the Royal family of the capital city of Greymoor, second in line for the throne. Leader of the Hunters.

Me: So, now I should let them introduce themselves... Everyone, say hello! ;)

Terra: Hello *Bows* it is a wonderful pleasure to meet you *letting her green eyes betray her excitement* :D

Eli: Hello :)

Malka: *Bow*

Terra: Malka says Hello, and he is wondering if he smells a dragon?

Eli: We should see if they accept us before asking them questions, Terra...or should I say Malka? :?

Terra: Fine, I'll wait for someone to greet us...

Me: Sorry, I think they're a bit nervous about meeting people who don't belong to their world... feel free to ask any questions, I'm kinda new at this ;) :D :)
