It has been a year or two since I first started writing. The first couple of chapters I wrote were in a book called The Keeper. Now truth be told... it's kinda horrible. Should I archive it or do a lot of editing? I only got to like page 50. :?

The thing is, do you like this world/book? You can rewrite it and make it much better, Ramon, if that's what you want to do.

Ditto to Elly. Do you like it? If you don't, not particularly, I'd definitely say archive it. If there are parts of it that you like, you could sit down and see what you want to salvage from it. Maybe instead of editing it, you really just want to rewrite it from the beginning, keeping the ideas and concepts and characters and whatnot but none of the old writing.

I would say there is value in every writing you do, even if you eventually scrap it. The more we write the more we improve. I second the suggestions by the ladies before, but you could also keep only the characters, or only the world. Whatever works best for you. :)

Or, you could archive it and forget about it. :) By the way, is this world Sorrven?

Oh no! Sorrven has a special place in my heart :dieshappy: It is now quite fully developed! For lack of a name this one is called.... John... Smith? Yes! The world of John! Great! Anyway I'll get to naming it soon enough.
Which brings me to:

Agreed. There are little nuggets of usefulness, I'll take it back! Bits and peices. I like how you intentionally used my name of your just so you could say it, Elly... Rr should I say...Ylle!

I tend to use old worlds and stories as salvage yards. They've still got some good in them so go poking around if you need something or find something shiny in there. It doesn't have to play that huge a role but it keeps some of the history of your writing career alive. :)
