The first time my heart was racing. I've done it a lot since then though, so it doesn't bother me anymore. But man! That first time I was nervous. And few things make me really nervous.

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

I've done it once or twice since my first time, and now the worst part is stepping off the edge and waiting at the top.

Agreed. Walking backwards off the cliff and hanging upside down momentarily can be intimidating.

I've only done it on climbing towers, there's nowhere to rappel from where I live.

Ah. Well still. It can be intimidating the first time.

Yeah, especially when you're around 8 years old.

It's spelled with an a rather than reppelling.

No, not bungee jumping. :D

They also show it being done from helicopters in a lot of the Army commercials, and maybe the Marines.

I haven't done much of what Varon said...I've been camping a couple times, but not real camping in the woods. I've only camped in a campsite a hundred yards from a major highway...doesn't really count :P
As far as what I want to do...oh goodness. It's a long list...here goes. Skydiving, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, riding zip lines, zorbing (rolling down a hill at 25 mph in a giant inflated ball), whitewater rafting, canyoning, surfing, camping, bungee jumping...the list goes on and on. Shouldn't be too hard, considering I'm going to live in a treehouse in the jungle :D

Oh and during my senior year, I want to spend a couple weeks hiking the Appalachian Trail :D

A tree-house in the jungle? That sounds really cool.
