Basically it means "poor-blooded". A race that began to appear a few years after Aeryo's War (a war that pitted many of the Elves against Humans in Piensor). Luvarians have a Human parent and an Elven parent, and are more simply called half Elves. They are not looked upon in favor by the Elves, and they live in secret, rarely seen by any.
They are somewhat wary, and prefer not to interact with other races. But if the need arises, they can be quite hospitable.
They rarely get angry, except when threatened. They do many of the things Elves do, but add their own traditions.
Luvarians look like an Elf and a Human. They have the Elves' pointed ears, but their body is more like a Human's (not as slim as an Elf's). They weigh more than Elves, but they have the tall height of Elves. Their eyes, along with the normal iris color, often have green or gold tints around the pupils. Their hearing and eyesight are almost as good as the Elves.
I've only had one half-Elf in my stories about Piensor, but the third one will have more of them. Suggestions and/or changes are welcome!

You said that the elves don't like them, but what about the humans?

They don't mind them. The Elves are a proud race, and don't quite see eye-to-eye with Humans. So their kind marrying Humans is something they take negatively.
