How should I have Rain (the princess) react to him once she learns about him?

Caesar: Mother was born with rare genetics that made her act like a wild animal, her parents married her off to a merchant as soon as they were able. He was born and the father sold him to the military.
Should I keep him in contact with his mother?
He is going to be often shown in the enemies lair just sitting there quietly, they know he's there... why don't they have any problems with him being there?

Villains: right now they have no purpose. (D:) I thought of maybe they want to kill/capture Rain because she would be the only one not carrying the illness that they accidentally released a long time ago. (will explain Rain if needed)

Summary:
Rain is not as normal as she thinks, first the train to New York gets hijacked by strange people wearing masks, then she learns that her best friend really was a warrior watching out for her and waiting to bring her to a different world. Now she finds that she is being followed by a man with white hair wearing a fedora... What is she to do?
