It is.

Not very adventurous, but I like to jump on my trampoline.

My aunt has this AWESOME tree in her yard and I climb it all the time. The branches are really easy to reach and I climb almost up to the top. (Except the branches get farther apart and less sturdy, and it's kind of shaky waaaay up there.)

But flying foxes are bats... which makes me wonder how the name came about.

I don't have any climbing trees.

I used to love climbing trees when I was younger! Not any more though.

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. I'll do ANYTHING outdoors in the summer. I haven't been camping in a while but I fish, zip-line, kayak, hike, and jet ski and tubing when my friends are at their lake house. I don't have any special training for stuff or anything but if it's there I'll do it.

Most of what you mentioned don't need special training.

That's why I do it. If it does I haven't done it.

Not officially... I did in April if that counts I love my wet suit.

We set our pool up Monday.

I've been shopping for wetsuits, but they're all too expensive for me.

Wetsuits are an essential though, Varon! Otherwise you will be very cold!

I went in March and on Sunday evening.

My friends go swimming every Christmas. They open presents, then go swimming. . . and they say it's coooooooold.

Where my family goes swimming a lot, it's four minutes from my house, the ropes used to be around 8 ft, but the water has went down to 7 ft.

Well, I love swimming myself, but - ugh, seriously! - not in cold water. I'd prefer comfortable summer weather, maybe a little on the hot side. Tropical. I never got to swim competitively, but I'd've loved to.

Some springs we go to have constant temperatures of around 70.

Even tropical waters are a bit chilly.

I'm not a big fan of freezing water; chilly water is ok though. I love swimming, I don't do it enough... I'd like to go snorkeling one day.

In Australia, Bushy? With the sharks?

*laughs out loud* Goodness, Australian beaches aren't that scary! The beaches we go to don't have any sharks, and I think even the ones that do have coastguards on the watch to tell the people to get out of the water if they see one. I've been going to the beach since I could walk, and I've never seen a shark.

You're also somewhat close to the Great Barrier Reef.

Australia also has Sea Wasps, a killer form of jellyfish, and the very venomous blue ringed octopus.

Nathan has a very extensive knowledge on dangerous, Australian animals....

You just have to be very observant.

I'd love to go snorkeling. You can't keep me out of the water at the beach.

Kite-flying is another really fun outdoor activity.

The way so many people view Australia, it is a wonder we are all still alive.


Oh yes, it is! We made a kite out of old carbon fiber arrow shafts, and garbage bag plastic once. It flew really well.

It is a wonder.




In my experience, kites always seem to have tragic ends.

Tsk. Why don't y'all come visit it for yourselves one day? You'll find it's not half as scary as all the stories say.

That is true... I guess that's where the tree-climbing part comes in.

Especially when it's at the top of the tree that's way too far to climb.
