When you are walking to work, and you see a soccer field, and one of your first thoughts is, "About four dragons could land there." Then you look at the sky and imagine them landing and nod, "Yup, they'd fit fine." ;)

Well, it took a lot of practice of just thinking about certain things in certain ways. It's hard to explain.

Did you learn it from somewhere? Could you give us any more info? (Probably in PMs or in a new thread. ;) )

That is pretty much what I told my siblings the other day when one of them said something about the ring. They just kind of looked at me weird.

-A mental discussion you can always revert to is "Frying pan? Sword? Frying pan? Sword? Frying pan? Sword?"

Antidisestablishmentarianism. ;) I wrote it in the sand when we were at the beach...

-You frequently talk about smacking your villain as if he was real.

-You analyze other people's characters at the randomest times.

-You easily get infuriated at other people's characters.

-You welcome any opportunity to wear your dagger.

-You enjoy the looks and "Oh, wow." comment you get from wearing said dagger.

I believe it's pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. It's a disease you get from breathing in volcanic ash. 45 letters long.

It could also be floccinaucinihilipilification, depending on what criteria you are using. Coined or non-coined. Technical or non-technical. Etcetera.

-- If you use the word 'etcetera' without abb. it because you hate messing with periods in the middle of sentences. :)

The longest English word is actually Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch. It's a town in Wales and means "The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave". I feel a new thread coming on.

That's the (officially) longest place name. It isn't an English word. :)

But there are longer place names and it's just not modern English...

- when you debate what is the longest placename.

The others are debatable according to some people (the officials I guess) because they were coined specifically to be the longest place name.

It is Welsh. Latin is more English than Welsh.

Ditto to Emeth. That's the longest word in the Welsh language. :D
I love all these long words...

Wait a minute. That's an actual word? O.o And here I thought I'd be doing good if I could manage to pronounce "antidisestablishmentarianism" (though, at least I can spell it).

I would say I like long words, but they're like tongue twisters to me.
Though, I guess some normal length words are too at times :P

I can pronounce it. Spell it? That's quite the accomplishment, Arias! :D

However, using it properly in a sentence is the greatest skill of all. ;) Everyone totes that word around as the longest one they know, but I doubt any of them know what it even means!
