This thread is for Suiauthon, Emmalina and I to collaborate on turning our marvelous adventure into a comedic fantasy short story. I thought it would be a good test run for the new room, and I think this'll be a hilarious story. (Emma, you get to help because you were in it.)

Below are the chat transcripts. From those we out to be able to make a coherent plot synopsis, and work out illogical stuff and minor changes. Then from there we ought to be able to rewrite it into a short story pretty easily. :D

Suiauthon: *starts juggling water balloons*
*adds a kitchen sink to the water balloons*
*adds another sink*
I'm pretty talented!

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Yes, very.

Suiauthon: *adds a leprechaun*

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: :shock;

Leperchaun: Ah! Ah! What are you doing? Put me down! Put me down! Pleeeeeease!!!!

Suiauthon: *leprechaun knocks me out cold with a huge black pot*
*leperchaun knocks me out cold with a huge black pot*
*leperchaun steals the kitchen sinks and runs off through a cave behind a waterfall that leads to a perpetual rainbow*
*wakes up with a pounding headache*
*picks up some gold pieces the leperchaun left behind*
*uses the gold pieces to finance a quest to find the leperchaun and get his sinks back*

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: And the moral of this story is NEVER JUGGLE A LEPERCHAUN.
Suiauthon: At least this chat has a moral.

Suiauthon: *buys a sword, some traveling gear, and hires a tracker to track the leperchaun* *also buys a bow and some arrows*

Suiauthon: Hi DairyMaid! Want to join me in my quest to find the leperchaun and get my kitchen sinks back?

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: This quest sounds like a lot of fun.
Suiauthon: *nods and bounces up and down*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *buckles on sword, quiver of arrows, and picks up her bow* *eyes gleam wildly*
Suiauthon: All right!
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: I'm ready. *also grabs a dagger*
Suiauthon: Almost forgot that. *puts dagger in belt*
Suiauthon: The fellowship (of 2 ) tracks the leprechaun to a waterfall but can't find the cave.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Perhaps we have the wrong waterfall?
Suiauthon: Tricky leprechauns. *fires the guide* We can take it from here.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *finds a trail of gold leading into the thicket*
Suiauthon: *eagerly follows Vanya with an arrow notched*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin:*the thicket leads into a deep and frightening forest*
Suiauthon: *eyes follow our movement and then disappear before we could see them. eyes follow our movement and then disappear before we could see them. *
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *jumps and draws dagger* What was that?
Suiauthon: *puts bow on back and pulls out dagger (I figure the sword won't be as much use in the dense thicket) and takes a few steps into the thicket*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *follows close behind, eyes darting from side to side warily*
Suiauthon: *a black pot comes sailing out of some bushes towards my head* *I whirl and collapse letting it fly over my head*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *I quickly throw my dagger in the direction the pot came from and nock and arrow on my bow, watching for further movement*
Suiauthon: *I gain my feet and keep my dagger ready for use* *a band of leprechauns jumps out of the bushes weilding black pots and...*

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: We fight!
Suiauthon: *grins*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *Arrows fly faster than the eye can follow*
Suiauthon: *gets into hand-to-hand combat with 3 leprechauns, 2 of which wield black pots and 1 with an ornate leprechaun sword*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *sees your predictament but is kept busy with the other 7 who keep dancing behind trees and avoiding the arrows*
Suiauthon: *stabs one leprechaun* *manages to steal the black pot from the other leprechaun with a pot, puts it on the leprechaun's head, and gives a sharp rap on the pot with the end of the dagger, immobilizing him, leaving the leprechaun with the ornate sword and me in combat*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *watches Suiathon's valiant sword fight and gets distracted*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *the leperchauns get too close for shooting at, so I drop my bow and draw my sword* Give us back the kitchen sink, you rascals!!
Suiauthon: *throws dagger at leprechaun that gets to close to Vanya and draws sword just in time to block another attack from the sword-wielding leprechaun*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *after several danger filled moments all the leperchauns lay still among their black pots*
Suiauthon: *takes pot off the leperchaun that I immobilized and offers him to Vanya to interrogate*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Where are Suiauthon's kitchen sinks? *the leperchaun only glares in sullen silence* *shakes leperchaun* Talk! We can't stand here all night, you know.
Suiauthon: I'll handle him. *picks up dagger* *takes leprechaun a few steps into the forest for a talk*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *starts searching remaining leprechauns for stray gold coins or clues*
Suiauthon: *returns a short time later without the leprechaun and a bloody dagger* The waterfall was the correct waterfall. We need to climb to just under the top of the waterfall. That's where the cave is.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *eyes dagger and doesn't ask questions* *we return to the waterfall* *cleans dagger in the waterfall* *and sword* *scouts for the best climbing place* *takes shoes off for better climbing on slippery rocks*
Suiauthon: *takes off sandals and hitches them on belt*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: You wear sandals on a quest? I thought boots were more standard. *shrugs, and starts climbing*
Suiauthon: I like sandals or barefoot. *also starts climbing* In real life or in fantasy.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Same here, but usually boots are better for fighting in. Less risk of loosing a toe.
Suiauthon: True.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *we reach the cave after an interesting conversation on preferred footwear*
Suiauthon: *takes out sword and leads the way into the cave*comes upon a valley with a rainbow and a lot of leprechauns*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: We'd better go carefully, I think. *fortuanately none of them seem armed with pots* Maybe stealth is in order.
Suiauthon: *peers into the valley to try to find kitchen sink*spies kitchen sink being used as a throne by the leprechaun that chonked me*
Suiauthon: *and they haven't caught sight of us yet*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: I think we should proceed cautiously here, we seem to be outnumbered. Perhaps we can buy the sinks back with all the gold we accumulated in the battle? Remember, we had to leave some of our weapons at the bottom of the waterfall.
Suiauthon: I doubt it. Maybe we can trick them into leaving the sinks.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: By creating a disturbance elsewhere? I know, I'll go that way. When the leprechaun sees me he'll give chase, and then you can steal the sinks and run back to the cave. When you're almost there call for me!
Suiauthon: Which way?
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: The other way from where our leperchaun is sitting.
Suiauthon: Got it. *moves into position*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *heads out across the valley* Hey, you little green people! *leperchauns stare*
Suiauthon: *hides in bushes near the gathering of leprechauns*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: You stole Suiauthon's sinks! I'm here to get them back!
* Leprechauns grumble and look for their pots. All leprechauns but the chase after Vanya.*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Yeah, that's right. You're going to have to put up a fight for your stolen goods. I wouldn't recommend it, actually, we left quite a few of your number a while back. They weren't in such good shape when we were done with them.
Suiauthon: They are mad now.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: That's the idea.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *keeps out of the reach of the leprechauns, while taunting them. * I keep moving in the opposite
direction of the sinks* Hey you there, leperchaun king! Yeah, you. What are you doing, just sitting there, anyway?
Suiauthon: *moves up behind the leperchaun that stole my sink who hasn't left them*
*stabs leperchaun king in the back*
*grabs kitchen sinks and sets off running for the cave*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *starts edging back towards the cave opening*
Suiauthon: Calls for Vanya "We can go now!"
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: maybe you leperchauns aren't as smart as you think you are! Look behind you! You've lost both sinks and your king! *leperchauns whirl around, and I turn my back on them and run for the cave* Do you think the stream beneath the pool is deep enough for us to jump? It would save time.
Suiauthon: Yes.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: All right then, let's jump!
Suiauthon: *jumps into pool with sinks*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *jumps after Suiauthon.
Swims to shore* *as soon as I get to shore I grab my bow and arrows and pivot to face the cave opening*
Suiauthon: *reaches shore and grabs sword and bow and arrows* *aims at the cave opening*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *leperchauns come pouring out*
Suiauthon: *fires at the leperchauns *3 leperchauns fall into the river*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: * fires also *
Suiauthon: *leperchauns retreat back into the cave to regroup and plan their attack*

Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *fires also*
Suiuthon: We could try to make a run for it.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Do you think they'll give up or chase us to our homes?
Suiauthon: Maybe we could lose them in the forest.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: I think we need to put an end to this here or they'll chase us forever.
Suiauthon: *nods*
Suiauthon: *leprechaun's appear at the entrance at the cave and at least 20 jump into the river*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *shoots at leperchauns in the river*
Suiauthon: *fires again*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *a few leperchauns reach shore*
Emmalina Cedar: Evening, are you still making cupcakes?
Suiauthon: *and they start attacking with their black pots* (I guess they found the black pots)
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: I guess that's what they were doing while regrouping.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *draws sword and counter attacks. Meanwhile, more jump into the river*
Suiauthon: *also draws sword and moves into the mob of leprechauns frantically blocking and slashing*
Emmalina Cedar: Ooo! Evening! Grab your dagger!
Suiauthon: Looks like someone else joined the quest.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: You idiots, you cannot defeat two such warriors as yourselves! GIve it up! *retreats farther up the bank and continues slashing as more leperchauns reach the land*
Suiauthon: *backs away as the dead leperchauns start piling up*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *a few leperchuans begin to reconsider at the sight of Suiauthon's pile*
Emmalina Cedar: Can I borrow someone's sword?
Suiauthon: shrugs* You can use mine. *offers Emma sword and pull out dagger to deal with the remaining leprechauns*
Emmalina Cedar: Thanks!
*the majority of leprechauns that are alive start to retreat*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Yeah! Go back to your valley and stop stealing our sinks!!
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Um, Sui, where did you leave the sinks?
Suiauthon: At the beach... *the leprechauns retreat to the cave with the sinks*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *sigh* Here we go again...
Suiauthon: *two leprechauns appear at the mouth of the cave one with a white flag and one with the sinks*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: That looks hopeful. *suddenly stops grumbling about the inconvience of doing a job twice* They're your sinks, do you want to find out what they want?
Suiauthon: *the two leprechauns jump into the pool and swim over to the beach* I guess they're coming to us. The leprechauns want a private conversation with me. *gives Emmalina my bow* "Use this if they get smart."
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *has an arrow ready* I'll watch your back for you.
Suiauthon: *nods* *goes to the beach with the leprechauns*
Emmalina Cedar: Thanks. Evening taught me how to use one of these.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Good. You might need to. These leperchauns are vicious.
Suiauthon: *comes back with this face: * Apparently killing the leperchaun king makes me their king...
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Uh-oh... we made a mistake...
Suiauthon: I got my sinks back at least.
Emmalina Cedar: Help! *Leprechaun jumps on me and steals my bow*
Suiauthon: *orders the leprechaun to desist*
Being the leprechaun king has it's advantages.
Emmalina Cedar: Hey give that back! That belongs to Suiauthon!
*leprechaun gives bow back to me*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Well, what now? Are you going to stay here or take your sinks and go or what? this is your decision, It is a beautiful valley...
Suiauthon: Umm... I don't know- *turns into leprechaun* Well... I might as well use this to my advantage. The valley and waterfall are cool. *leprechaun's promptly crown me their king*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: You'll stay then? And use your sinks as a throne. *nods, sad but understanding*
Suiauthon: You all could visit...Or live here too.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: I don't want to be a leperchaun though.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: But I migth stay for a while... if they put those pots down. *glares at lperchauns still holding pots*
Suiauthon: I think becoming the king made me become a leperchaun. You'ld be fine *orders leperchauns to disarm themselves*
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: Very well then. *sheaths swords, unstrings bow, and makes other peacetime preparations* To your kingdom then, Sire?
Suiauthon: I guess so.
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: *holds out hand to the invisible Emma* Coming?
Suiauthon: *invisible Emma decides to come*
Suiauthon: And we all live happily ever after...
Vanya Katerina Jaynin: And thus ends the marvelous quest of the kitchen sinks.

:? Here goes nothing.

Do the leprechauns really leave coins behind them everywhere? If so we could use those gold coins to finance the quest.
I believe adding Emma into the story from the beginning would be good and having some way that we 3 know each other (live in the same village or something like that).

I believe that they do. We use the gold to finance the quest, because they leave trails of it everywhere... it's kind of a humorous touch. They have so much gold they leave trails of it everywhere.

Maybe we find Emmalina in the forest after our first battle with the leperchauns? Maybe she was on her way back to candy land and she got lost.

Ok. How did Vanya and Suiauthon get together?

I don't know anything about the Candy Land (chat was messing up for me then so I didn't get to read that part).

Is the part where I don't come back with the leprechaun I interrogated too gruesome? Maybe we could find something all leprechauns fear worse then death. Something ridiculous to add another bit of humor (mice, cows, foghorns etc.).

I don't think they actually meet. It's assumed they already knew each other at the beginning of the story.

Yeah, the candy land part came later anyway, but I thought it would be a nice element to throw in. :D

I don't think it's too gruesome, but you're right, we could do something different too. I'm not sure if we want to do that or not...

You would have to let me in on what happened with the Candy Land part.

You're probably right that it isn't too gruesome but the idea of the leprechauns being deathly afraid of something ridiculous sounds like it could be a great humor part. :D

I had to fight of some of the Evil Peeps when I arrived in Candy Land. Thanks to Lia, Evening's horse, I got away without being attacked.

WARNING NEVER EVER try to attack a Peep! They ALWAYS win!

Right, so the question is if we want to put that in there. We probably do. So you threaten the leprechaun with... something...

Everyone's heard of the leprechauns and their pots of gold but I don't think I've ever heard of a leprechaun with silver. Maybe they're deathly afraid of silver...

*has the feeling he's grasping at straws*

Do you have an idea, Emma?

Now, that's funny.

Yes! Emmalina! We must have your input!

Hmmmmm. The leprechauns could have gold fever. That could be why they went crazy and started attacking us.

But then how would we scare the leprechaun into telling us where the cave is?

What waterfall? Maybe I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought.

I would consider this spotlight worthy for the newsletter. :)

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

Works in progress:

The Diegosian Mark, 115,600 words (Preparing for Publication)
The Diegosian Rider, 121,400 words (Finished)
The Diegosian Warrior, 15,000 (In Progress)

If Suiauthon leaves after becoming king wouldn't the leprechauns be angry? You should appoint a new king maybe.

I don't think you should put the part about Candy Land in the story.

The conversation about what type of shoes you should wear when fighting was funny! :D

I don't plan on leaving. I like my position as leprechaun king.

It looks dead...

Before we continue I'll summarize everything to make sure we're on the same page (and add a few ideas of my own in parenthesis).

We decided Vanya and Sui have known each other before the quest (perhaps all their lives) and met Emma in the forest (out hunting with her bow?).

In order to finance the quest, the fellowship picks up gold pieces that are constantly falling out of the leprechauns' pots. The gold also leaves a trail that is easy to follow.

Instead of Sui torturing the leprechaun to find the cave behind the waterfall, we threaten him with a leprechaun's worst nightmare: silver.

Anything else?
