Yes. Though my uncle is too scared he would hurt me for him to really try to throw me. :D

Ah! No! That's not fun! Especially not when they try to throw you off! The water isn't as soft as it used to be, and I don't bounce when I fall anymore... It's a lot more fun to watch my brothers on it. :D

I've finally made my way here. :D I love a lot of outdoor activities, but I don't do them as often as I'd like. I used to do a lot of waterskiing, but I don't much now because it hurts. Tree climbing is the best fun! We once slung a rubber hose to a tall branch in one of our trees. You climb to where the hose hung, wrap a leather glove around the hose, and leap out of the tree into space, and slide down the hose, twisting the glove when you near the ground so you don't splat.

I enjoy tennis, go-kart riding, (if it's working) touch football, (don't know what that is in America...) outdoor tag games, bushwalking... I won't make this list too long. :D

@Varon: That...is fast. And would cost some serious money...yikes.

@Busheh: Touch football....I assume you're referring to real football? As in, American soccer? Or are you referring to American football which has usurped the name? ;)

Touch football... you have an oval ball, you have to put it down at the other end, but you have to stop if you get touched. *has no idea what the same games names are in America*

That's American football, probably two-hand touch.

It's the chance of falling off and the air that makes it fun.

Ooh! Sorry about the double post but I just remembered: anyone else play Ultimate Frisbee? I used to play that every week a few years ago but haven't gone back to the same group since we got back in December. It's fun though :D

Also, I forgot about the following. Does anyone else play in creeks? *hopes someone does* It sounds sort of little-kiddish, but I build dams and stuff. It's loads of fun :D

I've got one nearby, but it's a bit big to play in. (not to mention in the flood stage)

No, that's the British. :D We call games with the oval ball, football. Soccer is soccer.

Yes! When my siblings and I were younger, we used to go across the road to our neighbors place, who had a running creek. They had an island right in the middle of it, and we used to go fishing. After that we would build bridges from one side of the island to the bank. But then they subdivided and sold the place, and we can't go over there now. :'(

We used to love playing in dirt. :D We had a large pile of it in our paddock, excess from excavation work. It was about two meters tall. We dug a hole (by hand, with pointy sticks) from top to bottom, and then we'd get in it and put a lid on top. Made a great prison! :D

Has anyone heard of the game 'Stomps' or 'Footsies'?

Is it the game where you try to stomp on other people's feet and can only move once each turn? I've only played it under the Spanish name "Pis a pies" which translates "Stomp on feet".

Yes, that's the one. :D You can also jump when it isn't your turn, so long as you jump in time with the person who jumps. It's good fun! :D We played it at a park at a Christian get-together with about 25 kids. It was horrible if you got out early though because with so many people one game took forever! :D

That's the foot version of Ninja.

A few of my cousins and I dug a bunker when we were younger in a dirt pasture in our grandparents pasture. We made it big enough for three people and camouflaged it with weeds.

My older brother and I made tumbleweed forts when we lived in Florida and years later when we lived in Texas. Fun parts of childhood. :D

When you're five-years-old and the tumbleweeds are as big around as you are tall you certainly can. :D

Good point. I hadn't thought of that point, since I've never seen a tumbleweed.

 I now have this urge to go build a bunker...

I run around all over our backyard, throw knives (and daggers- except now mine is bent :( ), swing, play in our tree house we built... We had a creek at our old house, which was awesome... We can go fishing in the pond behind our house if we ask the guys who owns it. :D

@Shawn: Throwing daggers is fun! My brother made a shuriken(sp?) out of a cog off a bicycle once, with sharpened points. It worked really well.

Is paddock go-karting considered an outdoor adventure? :D

Ooh, I hear the call of the Great Outdoors! *Gets excited about going hiking or something and then realizes I live in one of the largest cities in the world where there is one measly hill barely decent for hiking*

Well, let me see now... I've been hiking, camping, fishing once {although I disliked it immensely}, biking alone in the backwoods of Northern Japan, swimming in rivers, horseback riding, creek-wading and crayfish-catching, rafting along a river, and probably more that I can't remember now :D .

On a related note, I've always wanted to go hang-gliding.

My cousin and I went wading in a waterfall once. You know, where you only plan to get your legs wet? Well I stumbled in a little hole and got my jeans soaking wet. We went out under the edge of the waterfall under the water. To first get to the shallower water, we had to jump on the rocks and cross by jumping from one rock to another. That was last November.

That they are, especially when they're shaped just right and are low enough that you can sit just behind the water and stick your hands out the top.

Waterfalls are amazing.

That said, though, *fake* waterfalls {read: waterfalls found in resort pools} are less than cool. In fact, they're downright, well, fake! *blah!*

I know all about that.

Waterfalls are just too much fun. :D

True that, even though my feet were so wet that when I put my shoes and socks back on they squished.

Ooh I love walking out in the hills and fields, and I love water as well! I once remember we were in a stream that was quite deep and my sister splashed me so I pushed her in! Activity = out walking through the countryside wet through.....Not so fun she didn't think.

Pushing her in, sounds like something my siblings would do to me, even if I didn't splash them.

Hiking while wet usually isn't fun. :D

Running through the rainforest with banana leaf umbrellas is. :D

Has anyone been white water rafting? :D I went to the National White Water Center. The zipline is amazing too. 100 feet long and 200/300 feet up, if I remember correctly. It was scary fun.

I've been white-water rafting before, down a river in Tennessee.

Ooh! @Shawn: I have ziplined across a canyon before! :) It was about 300 feet up, but very fun. The zipline started on the opposite side from the camp, so beforehand you went across on another line, on this tiny little yellow platform with your partner (you did the zipline in pairs). That part was scarier because the box went so slow! :P

Ooh, just got linked here. Hope this isn't a necro..

You guys are so intense! I guess I thought authors wouldn't spend so much time in the great outdoors. #falsepreconceptions #gladtobewrong

That's some awesome stuff. Especially all the sharp object throwing and white water rafting. Unbelievable!

Aha, that's sweet! I did a flight of the gibbons zipline trail in Thailand once -- not nearly so high, but it went across several miles of zipline. Real fun. Ziplines are raad. :)

The really big ones that I've been on make me want to grab the harness and not look down.

I think we call 'zip lines', 'flying foxes' over here in Australia...
