Hi! It's mwa, Faith to those of you who have finally convinced me to join here. (Out of desperation as the YWP site is STILL down!) Anywho, I'm in a good mood so I'm going to hurry and introduce myself before it changes.

I am Faith! Only not in real life because I hate when my Mom calls me that. TMI, much? Moving on. My favorite color is BLUE. Blue, blue, blue. Blue as in dark dark sapphire blue. My favorite number is three, which is a blue number. Go figure, right?

I have a blog. It is http://www.blueepicgeek.wordpress.com I am not afraid to talk about my Christian status on there. Nope. I am a Christian! Although, I don't belong to any religions. Just sayin'.

So yeah. That's pretty much me. I'm not always happy like this, to let you know. Just right now. Mostly because... Hm. No point really. Just because I am! Like that!

And I'll shut up now. So hi all! I hope that this place is as awesome as I've heard. Off I go to try and figure it out and explore all the nicks and crannies. Tally-ho good chaps!

~Faith

I'm the first poster! :D (I hope...) Welcome! We are so glad to have you here! Have a cupcake in honor of your arrival. Beware of the glitter, make yourself at home, and just holler if you need any help. You are in good company here!

Hey Faith,

Welcome!! Did you say blue?? For real?? I *love* blue!!! For me, though, any shade will do, from palest periwinkle to deep midnight. The world is full of blue-ness, which makes it a really lovely place to be :D .

I like your blog design! And your photos are great, too (especially those of the swing - wow, that looks like one really, um, wild adventure!).

Delighted you're happy (at the moment), if desperate :dieshappy: ! And good luck with the nooks and crannies thing - it's like a very organized but maze-like labyrinth around here!

Oh, and I brought refreshments - I just baked some hot cross buns, so here they are! *Sets down steaming hot platter of icing-coated hot cross buns on the virtual table* Oh, and of course my specialty apple pie *serves perfectly triangular slice of pie that everyone eyes with envy*

*throws dark blue glitter around and vanishes*

~ Dawn

Yay! Cupcakes, buns and glitter! (I'm glad I was forewarned about the glitter XD ) AND pie! I like it here already. Thank you for welcoming me. And thanks for the comments on my blog :) I didn't take the pictures of the Swing (obviously lol) but it was one wild, epic ride. AND BLUE! Yes. A fellow blue lover. I love it all too but there will always be a special place in my heart for sapphire blue.

Any tips on where to go? I feel kind of like an intruder here because I'm currently not working on anything Fantasy. Just a script about a bunch of teenagers and a novel about a schizophrenic girl. Yeah... Is there any place for a people like me? And thanks you guys :)

Welcome to Holy Worlds, ...Faith? XD (What shall I refer to you as?)

Oooo, who recruited you into joining? :D

Ummm, I am terrible at IM talk, so could you please help me understand what "mwa" and the acronym "YMP" mean? ^^;;

I had no idea 3 was a blue number...In fact, I didn't know colors and numbers had anything to do with each other...

I shall check out your blog at a later moment! Do you mean you're Christian, don't belong to any specific denomination? *slightly confused*

Do you typically have a lot of mood swings? I'm usually cheerful even though I may not show it outwardly. It's confusing. It'd be easier to explain in person...which is difficult for obvious reasons. XD

I believe this place is awesome. :D Even if you aren't writing fantasy at this time, this a great place to get pointers and inspiration. ^^

Glad to have you join us!

Blessings,

~Calen

Yes. Call me Faith. Or whatever else floats your boat. As long as it's nice :)

Mwa = French for me. Not really but it's a fun way to say me. YWP. Young writers program. ywp.nanowrimo.org oh yeah.

Yeah... three is blue. I have synethesia. Which I shall never hope to pronounce right. My letters, numbers and some words have colors. It's pretty awesome. I still think it's so weird that not everybody sees that way...

Well... I don't go to church. Like I do family meetings and such but I'm not... well is Catholic a denomination? If so, I don't belong to a denomination. Yeah. I don't like religion. For me. I think it's good, but not for me.

Yeah. Kind of. I don't know. Usually I'm stable but I sometimes get into a really good mood or else I lose my temper. Other than that I'm just normal *shrug*

Yes! I already like this place a lot! Thanks for the welcome XD

~Faith

Edit: Oh yeah, the one that suggested me here. Bushy! Or otherwise known as BushMaid. Yep.

Hi there Faith! Welcome to HW! *Showers blue glitter around thread*

Denominations are like Baptist, Pentecostal etc. Catholic is another religion. :) I'm a Christian and we can't find a church to go to so we have had family meetings in our home for a few years now. :) I like having extra fellowship though it builds one up. :D

So what are your hobbies? Besides writing! :dieshappy:

My Grandad always used to say Mwa haha, so I love that saying.

Well I'm so hungry I am now going to get some breakfast! See you later!

Clearly our other newbie, Evenstar, picked up on our traditions quick! She already knows to bring food and glitter to welcome parties. ;)

Calen is right - if you don't write fantasy now, you soon will. ;) However, if you have a general writing question, those are always welcome here! "Village Lore" is where most general writing-craft questions go. You can share reviews in "The Watchtower," or you can join in a challenge in "Quests." "The Arts Guild" is for sharing, well, art! And you can talk about almost anything in "General Discussion." Post around, have fun! :D

Hello and welcome, Faith! We're glad to have you here! *turns on a fan to keep the glitter moving in the air* I wouldn't worry too much about not writing fantasy right now. There are general writing tips around, and people are pretty good at encouragement if you need that, too. ;)

Er, Elanor, Catholic is a denomination... :? They're Christians, too.

Oooh, got it. ;) I was confused because the French spelling for "me" is "moi". So when you spelled it that way I though it was an abbreviation or spelling the noise one would make for a kiss. ^^;; (I doubted the kissy noise though.) XD

Synethesia? I've never heard of it before...until I looked it up. Yay for Wikipidia! That's really interesting. Does it give you any problems? It's be really neat to see like that. You should write a book about it someday! Or maybe have a character with it, so we know what it's like! :D *curious*

Edit: I came up with more questions about synethesia. :D

1.) So if I were to write a sentence or numbers with a pencil on paper, would they each be colored differently? Or colored in general?

2.) Are all words written and typed a different color when you see it? Or one solid color?

3.) What color is 17? (17 is my favorite number.)

4.) Have you always had it or did you develop it?

Oooo! So you're in Australia too??? Go, Bushmaid!

FaiththeLoved wrote:

But if you're Catholic, wouldn't you belong to the Catholic Christian denomination? (Maybe this is something for the Theology or Tricky Subjects forums...?) XD

I'm glad to hear you're having a great time here!

Whether Catholicism is a denomination of Christianity or another religion is a very sticky topic. As the cupcake-bearing mod of this subforum, I ask that we not rain on dear Faith's introduction party by discussing that here. Thanks, guys! :D

Haha, no you're not raining on my introduction party XD I'm just sort of confused. I don't belong to any religion nor do I belong to a denomination. I go to a religious school and it's kind of hard to explain it there too but yeah, no religion for me. Ever heard the song Sacrilegious by NeverShoutNever? That's my opinion on church. One of my friends is a really devout Catholic so I don't think religion is horrible or anything it's just personal opinion.

Calenmiriel: Aw, yes. That is how Moi is spelled. Yeah... I used to pronounce Ciao how it's spelled too so I guess I should just be used to spelling/pronouncing things wrong.

On the topic of synethesia, it's hard to explain. I sense the colors more than anything. Seventeen is a kind of a yellow/white because 1 is white and 7 is yellow. Numbers and things aren't always a solid color, only sometimes. Sometimes I just sense the colors, like I've said. I've had synethesia since I was little. I know this because all the last names of my friends had colors, they were obvious colors (Like one of their last name was Brown so it was brown.) but my last name has no relation to colors and yet it was completely white. It still is. That's how I know I've had it for a long time, I didn't know the extent of it until I was telling my brother how three is blue and eight is black and 1 is white and he thought I was psycho XD Now I know what it is, though, so I don't feel as weird about it.

Also, I'm not from Australia XD I love Australia though. My second favorite country (after my own, of course) I met her through the YWP site actually.

~Faith

On behalf of the forum team, your lovely colored-ringed folks:

We realize that people use the word "religion" differently. Some people believe that Christianity is not a religion, because we worship the One True God in a relationship. Similarly, there is some debate on the use of the word "church" and whether or not the institutions we know as "churches" are fulfilling the biblical role. Because these issues are a matter of conviction, this discrepancy in word usage should not be discussed here, but rather through prayerful PM. In other words, please don't debate in this thread whether or not Christians should attend "church," whether or not Christianity is a "religion," and so forth.

Thank you! Carry on with the cupcakes and glitter, now. :D

Looks thoughtful

Grins

Agrees to be good, as long as there's plenty of cupcakes

Has caught Eru's splatitis

Throws pink glitter at Faith so she can be all pink and sparkly

Throws blue glitter at Philli so she can be blue

Decides has caused enough havoc now

Sneaks out.

*reminds Elanor that she forgot the splats*

*hands Elanor cupcake to ward off splatitis*

*welcomes*

*cough* I mean, er, welcome. Don't let anyone else know that I wasn't speaking, they will hoist me up and force feed me cupcakes... (As if one could talk while his mouth was full of cupcakes  )

Anyways, I might have already said this, probably have, but welcome :)

Not cool! Why do all the new people come while I am gone and start new threads? The injustice!

Ho hum drum! Welcome, Faith. I am extremely disappointed no one said hi for me while I was away, but I shall recover from this devastation. We are already on the second page of this thread! I missed so much!

Alright, Faith, here are your muffins! They're Blueberry Muffins, which I hope you like. *heaves a big basket onto the table*
I read about synethesia on Wikipedia a long time ago, but I never met somebody with it before. I think it's awesome; does it cause you any problems at all? Is the number 3 a different color on a screen than it is on a page? How do you see white letters on a white page?
If you love blue, you should look into becoming an Editor. *restrains myself from asking what color my name is* ;)

A very good title. :D Funny how "Ahoy" makes me instantly think of a ship, or 'Hornblower' or something... I should make a graphic or something like that.

I love Horatio Hornblower! Aside from the language and two scenes which a friend of ours edited out for us. Funny, Aussie, that’s what I think too. Probably because the term has been so Hollywoodized.

Hornblower is awesome. :D Although I'm a bigger fan of Kennedy then Hornblower, methinks. :D

I love ships! I'd love to sail on a tallship someday... I actually have a semi finished tallship tracing on an A3 sheet of paper, I should finish it.

Ahoy is a nautical term. As much as I like tall ships, I'd rather own a 30 foot yacht to cruise in.

Welcome to Holy Worlds!

*Also loves Hornblower!* Although I stopped collecting the books when I was a kid as they got too old for me and I've never took up collecting them again.

I'm not sure who my favorite character is... I will admit that Archie’s death was one of the few times I teared up while watching a movie.

Bush was funny though... Can I say my favorite characters are Bush, Kennedy, Hornblower, Styles, Mathews, and Eldroyd? :D

Are you talking to me about the punch?

I haven't seen the Hornblower movies, but I read one of the books.

Whoa! A lot of replies. Schools been trying to kill me but I'll try to reply to everyone.

Philadelphia: Eh. I just believe in love. Love everyone and leave the judging to God! (I am totally not using this to cover up my confusion...)

Lady Elanor: Aw, I get to be pink? Oh well. As long as it's... This kind of pink. I have glitter too! *sprinkles silver glitter everywhere*

eruheran: Thanks for the welcome XD whether verbal or not.

Airianna Valenshia: Hi! Thank you for the welcome :) And the glitter also.

Aemi: Your username is yellow but Amy is red. Mostly because e and i overtake the red of I in Aemi but they don't in Amy. They're always the same colors but sometimes I can't see them or else I can't pay attention to them or else they leave. And thanks for the blue berry muffins! By the way, what is an editor? I should know this, right?

Bushy! *glompeths* Thank you for the blue welcomes XD

Airianna Valenshia (again): Thank you! I rather do too :D

BushMaid (again): Yes. The whole point. Of course. Boats and ships are awesome.

Varon: Would this be the Varon I know from elsewhere? Well hello! Thanks for the welcome :)

Shawn Henderson: Thanks! And I love punch? Is it blue? Blue punch is the best. And glittery penguins! I should never doubt the power of glitter.

Elmirza16: Hi! Thanks for the welcome. And more glitter! I think I'm going to be sneezing glitter for a week! :P

Also, where is the chat? I've heard about it but I'm not sure where it is...

Thanks for the welcome everybody XD You made me feel all awesome. I love this site. And you guys. *Tacklehugs*

~Faith

P.S. I colored your names all in the colors I see. If your name isn't colored, it's because they don't have the right colors. Sorry! Also some of your names are multi colored, so that's why part of it will be one color and the other will be a different color :)

Yeah, I'm the same Varon from YWP that you probably saw all over the forums a while back, now I'm just in the role-playing forum.
