I need to think through how my werewolf fights and I thought the best way to do that would be to have a fight on HW, but Character Introductions is just too confusing. This is my first fight so an explanation of the rules (if there are any) would be helpful. (Also don't expect me to write back automatically, I don't usually get on till after 11 at night.)

Kuldrak: *looks around* It has been too long since I have enjoyed the taste of blood.

Kaida: It isn't long since I've had the pleasure of spilling it.

This is Kaida, she likes to fight and uses a blade about the length of her arm if you needed to know. She can't die but can be very badly wounded so it seemed like a good match to me. I don't know about rules, let's just go for it.

Kuldrak: *starts to circle Kaida still in human form * The pleasure is all my mine.

Ooh! *grabs popcorn*

You were the one who told me to stay away from Character Introductions.

Kaida: Not if you stick with that ugly mug of yours. *circles in return twisting her sword in her right hand* I'm just itching to rid the world of that crime against humanity.

Me: She likes insults by the way...

Kuldrak: *suddenly stops circling and flashes a toothy grin* This 'ugly mug' has tasted the blood of far worse and far better than you.

Me: he loves the trading of insults

*writes self a note to keep up with this thread*

Come on! Let's see some fighting! *steals some popcorn*

But then again, maybe she's waiting for me...

Me: *throws popcorn at Elanhil*

Me: *comes int wearing sunglasses and eating a doughnut* Sorry I'm late, where were we? Oh yeah.

Kaida: I don't doubt that. Did it take you as long to work up the guts to attack them as it's taking you to attack me?

Ren Sivler, Prince Guardian of the Silv Scepter, crouches behind a tree thirty paces from the stalemate, while his counter part Delis Drakkenhof raises his hands from the shore on the other side of the pond. As a towering wave curls towards the two obtuse figures circling in the brush, Ren readies his blade. I could slice them both in half from here, but this will be much more fun.

Kuldrak tenses almost imperceptibly as a fresh breeze blows from the direction of the pond. After a moment of thought he grins even wider and starts circling again, finally coming to a stop in a position that puts him in-between a tall tree and Kaida in-between the pond and himself.

Kuldrak: I see you won't be baited as easy as they were. Shall we begin? *morphs into a werewolf in front of the tree*

Me: @everyone For clarification the 'they' Kuldrak is refering to are the people that are 'far better' and 'far worse' than Kaida.

@Elanhil You could have at least asked for some popcorn. *hands Elanhil a bag of popcorn so that he will stop stealing mine *

*noms on pop-corn*

Kaida: So were you talking virtue when you said far better or did making you do the work for a change earn me some extra credit? *positions her right leg behind her left for stability*

Me: Yeah, you shoulda seen her grades in school... *sets up fried dough stand to make some cash on the side* What? I may be here for a while!

Kuldrak: *ignores insult* I congratulate you. You are the first in awhile that promises to give me an exercise. *approaches Kaida while keeping body tense*

Me: Maybe I should start selling popcorn...

Oooooh! Werewolf fight! *grabs a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (the small kind... not the new super small kind)

Kaida: I'm not one for making promises. Ya never know, I might get struck by lightning and then you'd win by default. Stranger things have happened, like you apparently winning fights when all you do is stand there. *Her sword hand remains extended but she keeps a generally limp stance*

Kuldrak: Then the lightning would be doing you a favor: it would spare you the long, agonizing pain I will give you. *starts running at Kaida, decreasing the distance between them quickly, and then pounces at Kaida torso*

Me: Get your hot, buttery fresh popcorn! Buy five buckets of popcorn and get one free cupcake with extra frosting and sprinkles!

Kaida: Yeah, then I wouldn't have to hear you yappin' like a chihuahua anymore-*holds her blade at the height of her sternum and leans hard into the blow*

Me: Fried dough! Get your fried dough!

Me: How is Kaida holding her blade? I mean is she holding it with the flat side facing Kuldrak or not?

Me: Oh, sorry. She's holding it like that --- horizontal like. Pointing right where Kuldrak is lunging.

Me: So like BushMaid's signature sword? (Just want to make sure I'm understanding this.)

Yup, pretty much.

Kuldrak: *twists body in mid-air right and down and snaps at Kaida's left leg*

Me: Is that descriptive enough?

"right and down" could be cut without losing anything. Plus, is this a sword he's snapping? What does it do to her leg?

(Sorry I haven't been involved in this since I barged in.)

The tide cast a shadow over Kaida's face. Kuldrak jumped to take advantage, twisting in mid air... With the two distracted, Ren jumped over the bush to catch his floating prize.

I mean that Kuldrak twists his body in a way that sends his body towards Kaida's left leg. (which would be twisting in the general direction of down and right)

How does the tide send a shadow across Kaida's face when the tide is coming from behind her?

And what is floating?

I had the tide on the side of them, but they aren't close enough to the water to notice, or are just engrossed in each other.

As for twisting down and right, you could say he twisted to strike her leg and we would get it.

His prize is still unknown. You'll see.

Me: The prize is popcorn.

Kaida: *follows Kuldrak's jaws with a twist of her sword, just catching his snout with a slice before he has a chance to bite*

Me: How severe is the slice? A bare nick? or deep slice?

Maybe the prize is fried dough...

Me: Enough to knock him away from her and give a moment for recovery... I left that one open a little.

Kuldrak: *is pushed aside by the slice so that he can't bite Kaida but manages to scratch Kaida's leg*
*considers pushing his advantage against Kaida but quickly decides against doing so because of incoming tide*
*instead running for the pair of trees mentioned earlier*
*climbs trees by launching himself at one tree and pushing off and up to the next tree etc...
*gets to top of tree and morphs into human so he can grab onto tree and weather the tide*

Me: I think Kuldrak has splatitis! *tosses Kuldrak cupcake*

Kaida: *sheaths her blade and leans into the oncoming tide*

Me: *covers the fried dough stand to save the business*
