For those who have not yet heard, Sir Emeth/Jay's computer crashed.

Okay, okay. That's enough. Calm down. Pull it together, people. I know this is tragic, but it's only temporary!

So, now that you know this dreadful news, you may be wondering, "what does this mean for me?"

Well, if you are a normal user on Holy Worlds, it doesn't really mean a whole lot. The primary thing you need to know is that this is why we have the Council and the Marcher Lords: their job is to keep Holy Worlds running smoothly when Jay isn't around. Therefore, if you have a question, go to them instead. Just continue on posting as usual, remembering to keep your standards--both in your writing and communicating--high and honoring to God.

If you are a member of the forum team, especially a Marcher Lord or council member, this means that we will especially need your help for the next week or so. Please just keep doing your jobs as usual-- except make a little extra effort to go above and beyond the call of duty. You guys are awesome!!

If you are just a person who was hoping for an email or something else from Jay, this means that you now have an opportunity to gain some patience. Pretty exciting, eh? hehe.

Let's make Jay's return a pleasant experience by having this place running just as well as normal-- and maybe even with a little extra cleaning done, just for a surprise!

Well, the other reason for this is that if you don't have Internet it's very hard to let your Internet friends know that you won't be around since it takes Internet of which you don't have any...

Ahem. Anyway. If you know Jay and wondered where he went, now you know. If you know people who've wondered where Jay went, you can tell them. This doesn't really affect HW all that much, but the more people who know about it I think the better everything will ultimately be.

Thanks for warning us, Duchess. Some of us occasionally send Jay pertinent emails, and it would be mildly disturbing to not have him reply in his usual timely fashion. It's that whole convoluted dependency email builds in us. (I read books about radical email ethics. Enlightening read.)

Aaw I wondered why he wasn't tweeting!

Well, he will be missed but it will be a good opportunity for some of us to handle extra responsibility maybe, we have to look on the bright side if we can find one. He will be missed and I hope his computer gets fixed soon. Is it very bad do we know? Or is it fixable? When my old computer crashed I had to get a new one as it wouldn't be fixed.

Aw; that is too bad Hope he gets everything up and running soon!

(But...come to think of it, didn't we have a 'spare' Sir Emeth that mysteriously popped up on April Fools Day? Or perhaps we could purchase an inflatable Jay to pose as him while RealJay is away. )

We hope it will be fixed soon, Elanor. But that computer has been going kaputes for a while. Jay has fixed and tinkered with it so many times! We'll just have to wait for either him or Carissa to enlighten us on the progress.

Noooooooo! Good thing the council is there. I suspect all will run smoothly, and if not, it'll just show us how much we need Jay.

Okay, so update.

My laptop exploded. Blew up. Incinerated itself in a pyre worthy of Denethor. * cries *

(Only slight hyperbole there.)

And it was the only computer in the house that had internet access! We routed it through it to the other computer. So internet has been sketchy. Thankfully my dad got his work computer and we used that to connect to the internet and hack up the other computer so it can now use the internet on its own.

And so I am working off of my dad's computer mostly, but that will go away tomorrow, when he goes to work. So that means I will be fighting Patrick and Mama for the other computer (good thing I know GJJ, eh?). Praying we get a new computer soon. Funds are tight, but God will provide.

Inflatable Jay's aren't as good at witty banter, for the record. And keeping council members from killing each other.

I am supremely grateful for all you, and the spirit you show on here, and for the work you put into everything. I have complete trust in you all.

He wasn't actually gone that long. It's more the concept of Jay without a computer that was alarming, more than his actual absence. Jay without a computer is like... like... like having a computer without Internet!

Yep, it is quite nice. We've been rolling about in the grass (parkour style with some freerunning thrown in here and there). And playing Ninja.
