Hey people. So Raven of the Wood has been encouraging me to start a new Character Intro thread because I didn't want to read through 150+ pages of dialogue. So, without further ado, I present to you, Gregory, Eleanor and Violet.

Quick Descriptions:
Gregory is ~6'0'' with a strong build. He is 20 years old and training to inherit the responsibility of running Nottinghamshire. He has dark hair and a healthy tan. Square jawbone and cheekbones make his face look mean and hostile. Eleanor is his younger sister by 3 years. She has streaked reddish-brown hair grown past the shoulders. She is known for her beauty both physically and characteristically. Everyone likes her. She is 5'6'' and has a strong but petite build. With large, gorgeous eyes, Eleanor is able to get almost anything she sets her mind to getting. Violet is the baby of their family. Just 6 years old, she is the picture of cuteness (and upcoming beauty) with blonde curls and huge blue eyes. She is hated by Gregory because their mother died while giving birth to her.

Gregory: *Runs fingers through incredibly greasy hair while smiling meanly* Hello everyone. I'm Gregory. Actually, SIR Gregory of Nottinghamshire. I'm to inherit, and man do I deserve it!

Eleanor: Don't be so full of yourself Greg! And you need a bath, look at that hair!

Gregory: Don't try talking to me like that, Eleanor. And don't call me Greg; it makes me sound like a child, that nickname does. And I do deserve it! Don't you go denying it.

Eleanor: *crosses arms across chest while tapping her foot* You're horrible. Hi everyone. Ignore him. He is just a want to be ruler. He'll never get far.

Violet: *raises hand, trying to get their attention* Elly, Elly, when will it be my turn?

Eleanor: You can do it right now Violet. It's a perfect time.

Violet *brows furrow with concern* Ar- Are you sure?

Eleanor: Of course I am sure. Go right ahead! *motions her to move forward*

Violet: Alright. Erm, H- hi everyone. My name is Violet. I'm Elly's little sister.

Eleanor: That was perfect. But I think you are forgetting someone.

Gregory: *shocked faced!!!* Um, Me! Violet I can't believe I am related to you! Do you know how degrading it is to be left out like that!??! *Does a huge, over-the-top arm gesture for effect*

Eleanor: Greg, stop. She's only six. A---nd Violet has good reason to leave you out. You're horrible.

Gregory: Stop saying that! I-

Eleanor: Oh look at the sun, it has just about hit the horizon. We'd better get going. *Looks off into the distance* Violet, would you like to say goodbye to the lovely people?

Violet: Ok.... Um, *shuts eyes and speaks extremely high-pitched and quickly* goodbye and thank you!

Me: I don't have much time, so this will be short.

Devon: *eyes Gregory* You sound like someone I would like. Someone after my own heart. Friends? *offers hand*

Alexis: Hello! I know you will like it very much here. I'm Alexis! *bends down to look Violet in the eye* I'm very glad to meet you, dear. You have lovely blue eyes!

Woohoo! I can finally participate in one of these without reading a zillion posts! Thankyou Lady Dusk!

I will use three characters that are the most fully formed:

Cara Irving: Tall, with flowing movements. Dark blonde hair with a red tinge, dark tanned skin, sparking grey-blue eyes.

Kent Irving: Tall and strong. Dark brown wavy hair, tanned, brown eyes, scar above right eye, slightly off center jaw.

Derek Harris: Average height, wiry and thin. Black scruffy hair, pale complexion, laughing green eyes.

Cara: *wanders in and sighs* At last, we can come out of our box, and spread out!

Derek: *scowling* as long as you stay away from me.

Kent: *eyeroll* When will you come around, Derek? Going to stay mad forever?

Me: No he's not, I just haven't written it yet.

Cara: *sad face*

Me: I better post this.

Kent: Aw, but we just got here!

Me: We'll be back, don't worry.

Violet: Um, Elly, could I go? *puts hand up to guard mouth, whispers* Too many people!!!!

Eleanor: *nods* Sure. The nurse will be in soon to tuck.

Gregory: Get lost Vi! You're too small for this group!

Eleanor: *waves curtly* Hello everyone. Thank you, Alexis for being so kind and quiet while talking to Violet. And, Gregory! You're horrible!

Me: Eleanor, Gregory, calm down. El, you know that I will deal with him in due time. Gregory, you're going to get what's coming to you I just have to write it.

Eleanor: Sorry. *looks downward in shame*

Gregory: Well, I'm not! I don't deserve any harm coming to me!

Me: Gregory, be nice. Or I will just have to add in a little stabbing into the story. *grins with mischief*

Gregory: *swiftly switches gaze to Devon* Well Devon. Sorry to keep your arm hanging for so long. But I accept with pride. *grasps Devon's hand and gives solid shake*

Me: I'm going to post now. Gregory, next post: I am warning you will not have any of your foulness.

Eleanor: *waves curtly again* See you all later! It was great to meet you all!

*A tall man with dull blond hair leans into thread.*

Him: Hello. I'm Davien.
(@Gregory) Don't befriend Devon. He is a friend of villains! *holds up arm, which is bound in a sling* And he is pretty good at fighting, if you get my point.
(@Raven) Don't worry about me. My headaches are starting to go away.

Me: He's actually healing pretty quickly.

Davien: *leaves.*

Gregory: It's too late. I have made my decision. Devon is my ally and Davien will never have that honour. *raises his chin and scoffs*

Eleanor: You had headaches? *brow furrows* Oh, you poor poor soul. I can tell the cook to boil some herbs if you think that will help.

Violet: *walks in sleepily and yawns* Elly, the nurse never came. I'm tired.

Eleanor: Ok. We'll be right back. *leans over to pick Violet up* Let's get you to bed Vi.

Gregory: Good riddance. Violet is such a baby and she doesn't deserve anything.

Me: Gregory... In the last post, what did I say?

Gregory: I wasn't listening.

Me: Well, I am going to post this before you get any worse... Nice to meet you Aemi.

Me (@Lady Dusk): Nice you meet you, too.

*Davien comes back*

Davien (@Eleanor): Thank you for your kindness, my lady. My headaches are the result of an injury, that I sustained in a fight. *looks over at Devon* *ignores Gregory* *leans over and smiles at Violet, bows deeply to her* (@Violet) It is an honor to meet such a beautiful young lady. *smiles at Violet again*

Violet: *giggles* *hides behind Eleanor's skirts*

Eleanor: Devon? What do you have to say for yourself? How could you hurt someone so nice as Davien?

Gregory: It's called being strong. He simply overpowered him, is all. *gives an approving nod to Devon* I applaud you.

Me: Wow, that must have been some fight for Gregory to have complimented someone. *face of disbelief*

Violet: Um, Lady Dusk, is Gregory a bad person?

Me: Well, I think that depends on your point of view. But, in my books *covers mouth and whispers* yeah. *smiles mischievously*

Davien: I was not helpless. I could have beaten him fairly, but our fight was cut short. *peeks back at Violet and grins*
(@Gregory) Don't worry, I don't have any score to settle with you---yet. But if I hear of you mistreating your little sister, then I shall. *lets his good hand rest comfortably on the hilt of his sword*

Me (@Lady Dusk): It was "some fight". I was proud of my character.

Me: Well, I am glad that it was a good fight. I am just sad that Davien got injured.

Violet: *lets out a giggle and scream while running back round Eleanor's legs*

Eleanor: Davien, I am sure you could take on Gregory any day. I would put my money on you and not him.

Gregory: Hey!

Eleanor: What? You're horrible.

Gregory: Stop saying that! And Davien, how I treat Violet is none of your concern!

Kent: *winks at Violet hiding behind Eleanor*

Cara: Don't scare her, brother!

Kent: I'm not! I'm just winking. And anyway, I'm not scary.

Derek @Gregory: Girls are such funny creatures.

Cara: Hey!

Derek: *scowls* And you can't talk!

Cara: Well... I guess not.

Kent: Why do I get the feeling that since I end up as the go-between for you pair in these convos, I'm going to be a go-between further along in the book?

Me: Kent, you read me like a book.

Kent: How can I do that? You haven't finished my book yet!

Me: I know; but you seem to know your own story so well. You know it better then I do!

Kent: That's only because you haven't worked out whether you're going to kill me or not.

Me: Well...

Cara: *gasp* No!! I've told you before, you can't kill my brother!

Me: I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Derek: I don't even know Kent.

Me: Yes I know, I haven't decided whether you both are going to hate or like each other yet.

Kent: *draws sword* We shall see...

Davien: It might be an enjoyable challenge to fight you someday, Gregory. But, as you can see, I am not inclined to do so at the moment. Goodbye, lady Eleanor. *waves at Violet, and leaves*

Me: Ahh!!! I've missed so much!

Devon: *firmly shakes Gregory's hand* *gives a small sigh of relief* I am glad to hear it. The last person I tried to befriend tried to kill me. Or did I try to kill him? I don't remember.

Me: (@Davien) I'm so glad to hear you're getting better!

Alexis: (@Eleanor) You're welcome. I enjoy children.

Eleanor: (@Cara) Well, even if they say we are funny creatures... Who can deny that? I mean if they mean funny as in different and since we are smarter then we are different so we are funny. *pauses to catch breath* I hope that made sense.

Gregory: *draws sword* Well, Devon, why don't we get in some practice! *goes in for an attack from the right*

Violet: *runs and hides behind a pillar*

Devon: *looks helplessly at me *
Me: *makes rapier appear in his hand*
Devon: Oh, great. *blocks Gregory's strike* You must know, my friend, that swordplay is not my forte.

Alexis: *follows Violet* *pulls her into a hug* Don't worry dear, they're friends. They won't hurt each other....I think.

Gregory: *goes in for another attack and a block from the left* Aha!!! Then, what is your forte, Devon?

Violet: *whimpers* Whenever daddy has something like this going on in the castle courtyards at least one guard came up dead. I don't want Gregory dead! *large, watermelon tears stream down cheeks*

Eleanor: Violet, they're just practicing. They won't kill each other. Don't worry.

Devon: *blocks, his rapier shuddering at the impact* *slides his sword along Gregory's in a lunge* Grappling. Dirty fighting.

Alexis: It will be ok, Violet. Devon won't hurt him. *uncertain look crosses face*

Gregory: *drops sword and tries a right hook punch to Devon's jaw*

Eleanor: Why don't I bring you for some lunch, Violet? *leaves with Violet tugging on skirt*

The room grows silent beneath the boom of the doors being kicked open.
Three figures enter, one sticking to the shadows, one keeping to bow distance and eying Devon and Gregory brawling, the other sauntering proudly into the room, surveying all. His smile is not one of malice but of interest at seeing such an interesting compilation of characters.

Rayden: Tall, lithe but strong. Brown hair peeks from beneath his hood and sharp grey eyes haunt the surroundings from the shadows. The Fey blade Etherel hangs loosely in its sheath, mere inches from his nimble hand.

Wrasse: Not as tall and of thinner build. But his green eyes tell of a hidden strength. His bow rests easily in his hands, an arrow nocked but not drawn as he beholds the scene before him.

Bris: Taller than both and by far the superior in strength. Mourning star over his shoulder and still dripping the eternal tears from its long sharp tines. With a bellow he swings his favored weapon in a wide arc, showering the area with droplets.

*Bris looks at Devon and Gregory* "I fight the winner!"

Gregory: That will be me!! *goes in for another punch to Devon's stomach*

Devon: *easily blocks* *grabs Gregory's arm and his opposite shoulder* *uses his leg to sweep Gregory to the ground*

Rayden: "Ah, a dirty fighter." Etherel leaps into his hands and sings as he spins and flips across the room like a glinting tornado of gold-green death... Only to be grabbed by the collar with a heavy hand.

Bris: "Not your turn yet."

Me: It is impossible to read this thread and not post in it. Lady Dusk, meet Elanhil, my MC, and his friend, Hadwin.

Elanhil: Hi! *A average/tall man with brown hair and deep blue eyes. Very skilled with a sword.*

Hadwin: *A stout, wisened dwarf. Sort of the mature guide*

Rayden: Greetings Elanhil, Care to go a bout with the blade? (Expertly flips the Fey blade causing it to sing in the passing wind.)

*puts on ML hat*

Thank you, everyone for your willingness to interact with Lady Dusk's characters and help her develop them. I know she appreciates your help.

However, I would like to point out that this thread is not the same as Character Introductions. It has been made solely for the development of Lady Dusk's characters. As such, we ask that all conversation and duels be conducted with Lady Dusk alone. This is not in any way intended to spoil your fun, but has been done to keep this thread focused on Dusk's characters and to prevent it from expanding to be exactly like Character Introductions.

If you would like to develop your own characters through interaction and duels with everyone else's characters, we ask that you either join Character Introductions or start a thread similar to this one, where all conversation and duels are conducted with your characters alone.

Yes, exactly that. If you wish to duel Elanhil I plan on making a thread for people to do that in. He's leaving Character Introductions as he is developed fully, but many people enjoy dueling him as he is a master with the sword. Thank-you!

Gregory: *on the floor, slightly winded but gets up quickly and looks at me expectantly*

Me: You're on your own Greg. Your sword is right there. *I point to the ground right of him*

Gregory: *picks up the sword with enthusiasm and starts to dual with Rayden*

Eleanor: *enters the scene* Did Gregory beat you Devon? Or were you just allowing him to catch his own breath?

(Slowly gauging his opponent, Etherel hanging loosely in his gloved hand as cautiously Rayden circles his opponent.)

Rayden: Dance to the song of Etherel!

(Rayden leaps into a diving roll, coming up just a few feet from Gregory with a horizontal slash)

Gregory: *easily blocks and swivels to catch Rayden from behind*

Rayden: *A rougish smile touches his lips beneath his mask. Buckling his legs, he quickly attempts a back leg-sweep, He feels his boot make contact, but did it fell him?

Gregory: *loses balance and begins to fall* *uses his sword as a brace and bounces back up* *an evil grin dawns his face*

Eleanor: Greg, take it easy.

Gregory: *goes in for an attack from the right*

*Quick hanging-guard parry deflects right attack, stomp to knee cap launches instantaneously with the ringing of the steel*

Rayden: "Catch!"

Gregory: *takes a step back* *knows that he is beginning to lose*

Eleanor: Rayden, don't kill him.

Gregory: *drops his sword and goes in for an attack of the fists*

Devon: *wonders why the duel suddenly stopped* (@Eleanor) I was in a better position, but he left, so technically nobody won.

Rayden: gives a short hop back. Seeing the resolve of this man standing before him unarmed yet willing to continue, Etherel returns to its polished wood sheath with a short musical note ending abruptly.

*Rayden extends gloved hand* "You fight well, we should do this again some time."

Gregory: (@Rayden) Thank you. I was taught well. (@Devon): I got bored of fighting you.

Eleanor: Ah, yes. You've picked up the Earl of Huntingdon's lack of patience. *raises eyebrow, teasingly*

Me: Oh, yes, I do still have to write that part it... *fading voice*

Another intro thread, good idea! Another reason along with it's shorter is also; your characters get to be in different envirements, instead of the ones just doing that thread.

*A gaunt, thin man, with wavy long, blond hair walks straight up into the conversation*

Michael: *bows* Ello! I am Michael! Michael Black! I work in the medical and sustenence occupations! I also sell various other goods! If you be needin anything you just come to me!
