He raises his hand and Zurik's sword flies away. There is a strange swirling and shifting in the air, as the light in the sky seems to move. The light turns golden, as if it was a mist, and then with a rush, it crystallizes about Zurik, binding his arms, legs body, and head, completely pinioning and gagging him. He falls to the ground.

"Now that you are not distracted by an illusion of power and ability, you might be able to listen to sense. Only a fool mocks. A tyrant is a kind of fool who mocks those who are weaker. A coward is a kind of fool who mocks those who are stronger. If you lack respect, you lack wisdom. Strength is not found in beating the wind with your words and your bravado. He turns to Aris and says, "I hope you do not mind if I let him cool his spirit for a time. It will not hurt him beyond what is needed to wound his spirit."

Hëtsila smiles gravely at Bëduuín, nodding to him and bowing her greeting. Then she turns back to Alexis. "And I, too. Though I do not know the use of the sword, Groiia was a favorite game with me and my parents."

Mordir: [To Devon] Glad to have you on board, Devon. [Looks at the current situation of the other villains.] OK, we need to try again. But first we need to round up the otehrs. The Suragore's gotten himself knocked unconscious, the Meriak's pinned beneath Ashrai, Kai's decided restart the dragon war, and Zurik was just plain stupid and brought Emeth's super-strong characters upon himself.

Me: You sure you want to go through with this rebellion?

Mordir: Sure? This is the farthest we've ever gotten! I'm not giving up until my last breath leaves me!

Chayn: [Curls her head and tail around Shawn, and draws her wing down over them both]

Mordir: You're villains seem to have unintentional similarities. Zaek and Zurik. Then my name, and LotR's Mordor.

Me: Yeah. That one's probably taken me longer to realize. Aris, quit staring. You're going to make yourself all hyped up and then I won't be able to keep you from trying to kill someone.

Me: I'm sure once Mordir gets his group back together, you'll have plenty of chances to duel.

Perhaps some history is in order, since it seems that neither of the boys want to tell you any. Two hundred years ago, our ancestors were mortal enemies. Aguila was determined to harm those in California, and my ancestor, Zorro, was determined to stop him. Zorro eventually won and the Ortegas have harboured resentment against us ever since. As the Sword-keeper, their wrath, which manifests itself in Devon and his Eagles, is now directed at me. Because Julian expected to become the next Sword-keeper, his anger at his hopes not coming to fruition entangled him with Devon, who used his anger to work against me. What he is doing and what he has done is not right, but he will not change. He wouldn't listen to the idea when we were children, nor will he listen now.
Devon: I should have killed you when I had the chance!

Me: *watches Brian and Devon* Don't know...let's see.

Brian: *grabs Devon's right arm and twists, than grabs his left arm and turns him around. Throws (rather easily) towards Julian*

Me: Hmm...decent enough for a first fight I guess...

Brian: This is not my first fight...

Me: No, but it's mine.

Trina: *Walks behind Skylar and smacks him across the right side of his face with the back of her hand.* Let her go.

Trina: *pulls out concealed dagger.* Stay away, Pirzak...

Thysal - (Looms over Pirzak, sending icy breath down the back of his neck) I wouldn't if I were you.

Niarah - (Twirls her bo meaningfully) Step away, Skylar.

Me - Wow, normally my guys aren't this agressive.

Rahor - Once more, let me ask, whose fault is that?

Me - (holds up a dictionary)

Rahor - (decides to be silent)

Mordir: Well, we may need to extricate a few villains, or just let them go hog wild and nuts.

Rowen: I think I'm alright. [Lands gently]

Meriak: [Hisses] I make promises with no one.

Aris: I think you should.

Meriak: [Screams ear-piercingly and starts thwacking Ashrai with her wings, scrabbling to grab the blade]

Me: Idiot. Why are my villains so reckless?

Mordir: Because you made us that way, that's why. [Steps over to Ashrai] Let her go.

Me: Why don't you concentrate your efforts on someone who doesn't have a DRAGON?

Mordir: Because I'm reckless.

Me: Dude, you almost died.

Tounon: That's important to keep in mind. [Doesn't back up this time, but moves swiftly to Elanhil's right, then swings his sword down at the back of Elanhil's head]

Me: Now, I need to practice utilizing and understanding it.

Tesmir: [Looks at Lightning] You ready?

Cassie: [Eyes light up] Can I play the game? It'd make cabin life less boring.

Me: Whatever you learn here, it won't necessarily carry over. So be content with playing it here. [To Beduuin] Out of curiosity, how long does Zurik stay like that?

Me: Technically, all of it is me. Indirectly, it's through you guys.

Rowen: [Sniffs the sleeping Chayn, then walk toward Ciela's characters and lowers himself] It was a pleasure flying with you. [Sees Mordir] Stand back.

Mordir: Make me.

Aris: Don't tempt him.

Mordir: I don't take orders from you.

Aris: You're a villain, you're a lesser being.

Mordir: [Turns on Aris, eyes flaming] I am not! I will become stronger than any of you! I'm done with being the low-life, the one everyone's irritated with, I will help take all of us villains above all of you!

Me: Um, that's exactly the attitude that got Zurik in trouble.

Mordir: She started it! Besides, Zurik picked a fight with an unarmed child. I'm arguing with a well armed and well trained adult!

Me: Good point.

Skylar: *glares daggers at Trina* *winces as Jay pulls his arm behind his back* *leans back, putting some of his weight on Jay* *wraps his legs around one of Alexis's so she can't get away* *released her arm, and with his free hand pulls a switchblade out of his pocket* *puts it to Alexis's neck* *releases her leg and takes his weight off Jay* *coolly* I would suggest you release me.

Me: I'm not sure where Brian is. I'm going to assume he's close to Devon.

Devon: *executes a breakfall as he lands* *wraps his legs around one of Brian's, and pulls, tripping him* *jumps on top of Brian so he's straddling him*

Me: (@Beth) It's fine! My username is actually my MC's name from another book, and it's the name she uses when she masquerades as a boy.

Me: I don't know if it was possible or not, either, but we'll work with it

Skylar: *gasps in pain* Pirzak! *looks disappointed when the dictionaries fall on Pirzak* *bites lip to keep from crying out*
Devon: Julian, help him!
Julian: *runs over uncertainly* Let him go!
Devon: *rolls eyes and sighs* Great, just great.

Alexis: *runs a little ways away* *takes a deep breath* *yells* Brian! Watch out! Devon has a switchblade too!!!

Brian: *screams to Alexis* Greeeeeaaaaat! *uses elbow to hit Devon in his ribs, breaking one of them. Grabs Devon's arm and does hard pressure point on his wrist, dislocating it. Kicks Devon in the back and rolls ontop of him so now he is straddling Devon. Pins his arms to the ground* So, where is this switchblade? Or would you rather me just have Emuna disentegrate you now?

Me: Let me know if you didn't understand that...

Emuma: I don't think I've gotten that good yet, Brian...

Me: Hmm...good question... *sifts through chapters* No, you can distentegrate him...if you focus that is.

Emuna: Ah... *walks up to Alexis* Are you okay?
