Out of plain curiosity (which I have way to much of) did you type all those numbers from memory or copy and paste or look at a paper of the numbers while typing them? Either way I wouldn't have had the patience.

Anyways, to celebrate Pi day...I'm going to read this thread...yup, that's about it.

Yeah, I only had it memorized to the... fifth I think, but in honor of the day I memorized it to the 41st digit last night. Took me under an hour. :)

How... can you not like pie? I mean, there are zillions of different kinds...

All our pies are very healthy. Haha.

*can't imagine memorizing numbers to be easy*

Don't think I've ever tried/heard of shepherd's pie... Okay, I suppose "all pies are unhealthy" is a generalization, but I still say I don't like pie.

I can teach you if you want. It really isn't that hard. Haha.

Oh well. I like everything, pretty much, so it is kind of hard for me to imagine people not liking things. Haha. :D

Sure! If you don't mind, that is. I don't want to inconvenience you.

Haha...well I'm picky with food so it's not unheard of for me to dislike things everybody else likes. Gets me in trouble with my mom often times...

Shepherds pie is not like all the other pies you know about, it's not got pastry with it. I don't like mashed potatoes so I'm not too keen on it. :)

I am not good at math. Full Stop. So I refuse to celebrate pi day hehehe.

Although if it means eating lots of pie.......I might just make an exception!!!

My wife celebrated pi day by opening up my email and Jay popping in chat to say "Happy Pi Day 3.14............." to which she promptly made herself invisible.

I celebrated by laughing at this story, eating a slice of pumpkin pie (no cool whip :'( ) and bringing her a piece of her favorite. Now she knows and appreciates Pi Day, both because of me and Jay.

Oh, we would get along well then. I love Pecan pie. It is my favorite too.

Hmm.... on second thought, maybe we wouldn't get along well then... We'd both be after the same pie.

Only from Jay...

My dad had to memorize pi out pretty far (I can't remember to what digit) to get into his engineering fraternity in college. That kind of thing was cool amongst the geeks. :D

"Laughter is the best medicine, unless you're dying from it."

Haha...not sure when I said that to my mom, but it's sort of just what came to mind. It's sort of a family joke.

I hate pi. I hate math in general. However, pie is quite delicious, so I guess I can't complain too much :D

Sure, you can use it all you want...but if you quote all the extremely random things I utter on HW you'll be spending a lot of time editing your signature.

That would explain why he isn't actually dead...but that would also, more than likely, make him a big scary lion...

But he's died of laughing more than 9 times. Explain that one ;)

Everyone knows that laughing is good for you. So, all the times you laugh without dying actually add another life. :D

Hmm...I don't know how to explain that...perhaps he's a magical lion. :D Like with more than nine lives...more like ninety-nine.

Haha! And since I end almost every sentence with 'haha' (and mean it too), evidently I have somewhere in the hundreds of thousands of lives. ;)

This little rebel would like to point something out:
Jay knows all, including pi     Sauron "knows all"
Jay sees all on Holy Worlds    Sauron's eye pierces earth, cloud, and flesh
Jay has died repeatedly,    the 2nd and 3rd ages of Middle-earth end with one of Sauron's deaths
Jay helped his designer forge bars     Sauron helped Elves forge rings

And people say the Alliance was petty...

P.S. You will rarely see me use that phrase, but it was applicable

You know, there's a big difference between almost-dead and really-dead. :D (I know I totally butchered that quote...)

I asked Dad if he could remember how far he had to memorize pi out, and he thinks it wasn't that far. I thought it was farther... hum... whatever. :D
