As some of you might have read on my recent
announcement on my blog for the Birthday Party for Holy Worlds, I started this forum out of what was mainly laziness.
Honestly.
See, back then I knew just a few different fantasy writers. Definitely not as many as I do now. Some of them knew each other (like the ones from
TWE), but not all. And we all liked to tell each other about our worlds and stories. And I got tired of repeating myself.
So I thought, why don't I just start a small forum just for us to post our stuff in?
I mean, there are only a dozen or so of us, so it won't take much moderation or time. In fact, it would save time because we would all only have to post our stuff once each. Handy.
So I did. And it worked.
Too well.
They absolutely loved it (thanks guys), and I soon realized that there were more than just a dozen or so of us... because each of them had their own fantasy friends too. And they had their friends. And they had- well you get the picture.
But then, what was the problem? That I had tons of really nice people, all just as crazy as me, all passionate about the same thing as me, and all turning out great work? How could that be a problem?
So I decided to skip getting frustrated with the new project on my hands, and just got excited. And it was a good thing I did, too. God has given me, and many others, a vision for this site I never could have imagined, and He is working wonders through this community.
Holy Worlds is now one of the most important projects I have, and you people are some of the best friends I have. I love my community here, and I love the testimony and the glory you bring to God in the way you do things here.
But as you can tell, we aren't stopping. Holy Worlds is not growing just in numbers, it is growing in scope and vision. God has laid on several of us a passion for the long range future of Holy Worlds, and how He wants to use us in His plan.
God has brought together, one by one, various members of this community who have that passion and vision, and we are working together to plan and prepare for Holy World's future. We call ourselves The Council (catchy, eh?). We have each dedicated ourselves to Holy Worlds, and to the goal of furthering God's kingdom through Christian fiction (in many forms and mediums).
That includes fantasy, sci-fi, audio, books, film, and whatever else we can come up with and figure out how to make it feasible. Many things will take years to get to. Others we have already done. Others are real, real close (like that sci-fi forum sitting over there). All of them are awesome (at least we think so).
Right now we have me, Brendan Hanley (Inesdar), Jordan Miller (Seer), Tim Ward (Timotheus), Katie Daniels (Vanya Katerina Jaynin), Hannah Lenover (Hannah Marie), and Kaitlyn (Airianna Valenshia).
So that is us. The Council. And now that you know who and what that is, you can...
Umm...
Pester us with questions. * sigh * Oh well.

Just kidding. We love questions, and we love to hear your input (we are, after all, here because of you).
