Tesmir: Where's the fun in containing it?

Me: You're bound and determined to blow everyone to the next county, aren't you?

Tesmir: No, I want this to be memorable, is all.

Tounon: It would be safer than propane....

Tesmir: Aw, fine... killjoys...

Me: Lighten up. Be glad I'm letting you blow anything up.

Tesmir: Oh, can we blow up a villain?

Nameless: Try it, and you'll find a well-ventilated body.

Me: TMI, Nameless, TMI....

Nameless: TMI? Is that an insult?! Why you little-

Seymour: I think it's a shortened version of some sort of chiding phrase.

Sophie: [Kneels down and pets Stian]

Beron: [Stiffens, but soon decides there's no threat, and wags his tail, sniffing Stian curiously]

Seymour: [Smiles in a friendly way at Kaida] It's nice to meet you, Kaida.

Lakkerfax: The better it is contained the bigger the explosion. This has absolutely nothing to do with safety.

Aren: What a diverse range of people here. *looks aruond energetically for something to do*

Tanner: Yeah, we humans seem to be something of the odd ones out here buddy.

Melany: Still more representatives than the Gryphs.

Kaida: Likewise Seymour. *to Nameless* If I find ANY well-ventilated bodies I'll gladly take restitution from your hide.

Fulgar: *to Stellwento* Hey Kaida's starting another fight!

Stellwento: *pays eager attention*

Pernoxnix: One must admire her devotion to protecting others, if not her willingness to pick a fight...

Merashath: *takes to the air and shoots upward along the edge of the battle. High in the clouds he levels out above the fighting dragons. Spotting Thysal, he swoops down and begins to fly/hover about 10 meters above her.*

Me: Oh dear...I have no idea what he did...

Elanhil: *After his blow is pushed away Elanhil moves his blade quickly down to the guard position. After Kimun spins, Elanhil lowers the tip of his blade into the thrust position but does not thrust, thus preventing Kimun from pressing in too far.* I do not fall for any bluff.

Me: *jawfloor* I guess you are better than me. But now you can't blame me if you lose.

Elanhil: Please be quiet and let me fight him.

He evaded the blow with agility and then re-engaged.

Kimun strikes the flat of Elanhil's blade with vicious precision and switches inside his guard, shifting to a supine grip.

Cat-Dragon: Okay, who all is attacking me? *protects his underside from whichever dragon was clawing at it*

Kai: *glances at villains doing acrobatics in the rafters* Hurry up, guys. *slams his katana into Jay*

Roel:

Me: What book is that?

Roel: *hides book behind his back* Uh, just one I pulled off your fantasy shelf.

Me: *takes book back* Go finish your fight with Rahor!

Roel: It's his move.

Me: *sigh*

Kai: *grabs Jay's wrist with his free hand and press down on the underside of it until he lets go of him* Trouble? No way. *slices Jay's arm with his katana*

Erronys: *circles the battle and snorts impatiently*

Malcolm: What are the sides? We want in on this racket!

Thysal - (pauses in clawing Cat-Dragon) Wait, what? (Glances up to see Merashath) Oh no . . .

Rahor - Last I checked it was your move, Roel. I charged uphill at you with a figure-eight technique.

Me - I'm lost.

Zanya - You should really come in here more.

Me - How much do you like dictionaries?

Zanya - (Decides to be quiet)

Me - I should take tips from my fellow authors more. Thanks Aris!

Thysal - Niarah, go save Jay!

Niarah - What? He's doing fine, I'm not in this! This is his fight!

Thysal - Just go!

Niarah - Fine! (trots over towards Kai and Jay)

Me: Oh...

Elanhil: *Turns the blade in his wrist, so it turns about then comes back and smacks Kimun from his(kimun's) right.*

Merashath: What now, Mordir?

Me: I don't like Kimun's tactic.

Elanhil: I love it. He's a master with a sword and desrves respect.
Elanhil: *strengthens his grip on the sword, and moves it downward in order to hit Kimun below his sword, taking advantage of the close quarters.*

Mordir:[To Pirzak and Raczr] Go after Chayn. But be careful, she breathes poison. Now. [Mordir carefully stands] I jump. [Slips off of Merashath, falling silently down to Thysal, sword drawn.]

Me: Rather dramatic.

Cory: I suspect he will fail.

Me: I dunno...

Chayn: [Snaps at Cat-Dragon] This one's a tough dragon. [Glances at Malcolm and Erronys] Right now it's Thysal, Jay, Shawn, and me against Kai, Cat-Dragon, Merashath, Mordir, Raczr, and Pirzak. Basicaly villains against heroes.

Nameless: [Glares furiously at Kaida] Is that a threat?! If you wish to challenge me, so be it! I will see to it that you find your own body ventilated.

Me: No. If you're going to try to rip someone up, you don't get your gun.

Nameless: But-

Me: No buts. No gun. You can have a sword or something instead. No guns.

Nameless: [Frowns angrily]

Me: [To Ciela]You're welcome. What'd I do?

Tesmir: Oh, I see. Well, the bigger the better, right?

Seymour: Do they need an adult over there?

Tesmir: We are adults. Tounon's nineteen, I'm eighteen. We have adults.

Seymour: Mature adults.

Tesmir: Oh, well... Tounon's the mature adult. There.

Tounon: Wait, what?

Me: What is it with me and how mature or immature my characters are?

Aris: If no one else has a claim on a duel with Kimun, may I try?

Me: If someone else wants a turn, feel free. I've had a couple already.

Malcolm: Ah good, we'll even the odds then. *nods to Erronys and they both charge after Merashath*

Me: Just to clarify before my characters get too involved, how big are the dragons here? It definitely changes their tactics...

Lakkerfax: If we could just find some barrels we could makes some noise.

Kaida: *looks down at her scarred arm and then smirks at Nameless* Do I look like that bothers me?

Me: Is nameless pretty much a normal human? Gosh, I'm the only one who thinks of these things.

Melany: That's not true, Tiberius would but he's not here. Oh, Nix does too.

Pernoxnix: Being invisible gives one plenty of opportunity to assess the foe.

Tanner: Don't I know it.

What about it don't you like?

Kimun bends his arm at the elbow and shoulder, flipping his guard almost completely upside down, thwarting the blow neatly, deflecting it back into the supine guard position, and then thrusting.

Niarah - (Circles Kai and Jay, bo at the ready, watching as Jay tackles him) I can't believe I got myself into this. This is worse than the entanglement with the Ananthi nation!

Thysal - Get used to it. (Moves to the side as Mordir jumps)

Ashrai - Ilarians have a thing for getting in trouble, don't they.

Rahor - (growls but says nothing)


Me - You made a terrifying reputation for falling dictionaries.

Zanya -

Ember - (licks Beron on the nose, and sits on Jacy's foot)


Me - I'm not sure about the other dragons in here, but Thysal is about the size of a equine Shire. She has enormous wings, and is able to carry three lightweight people at a time, but no more than that.

Me: It's frustrating! D:

Elanhil: I know how to deal with it though. *parries the blow, and then fully extends his arm in a thrust.*

Me: Merashath is about like a Nazgul. Maybe a little bit smaller. He's more powerful though...

Merashath: *silently but rapidly descends on Chayn, keeping a wary eye on the two newly airborne dragons. As soon as he is within range, he lets out a sudden tongue of fire.*

Mordir: Oh shoot. [Twists as much as he can, slashing at Thysal's side before grabbing at her leg t keep form falling to the ground]

Me: You, sir, are going to get yourself killed.

Mordir: [Gruntingly] An occupational hazard. I don't care.

Chayn: [Counters with poison] Hello there.

Me: [To Ciela] I did? Didn't know that.

Nameless: [Still glaring at Kaida] You speak as though you have no fear. But everyone fears. One simply has to discover what his opponent most greatly fears most.

Me: [Tries very hard not to laugh] (I'm very sorry if that completely failed at sounding sinister and intimidating) Nameless is sort of a person... I don't really know how to describe him. He Sort of lives in our world, but sort of not. He is probably more closely a human, though.

Tesmir: I think we still have some of those Mountain Dew barrels left.

Tounon: Would the Mountain Dew catch on fire?

Tesmir: Nah, its not flamable. I don't think?

Aris: Boys are so strange sometimes.

Tesmir: [Smiles slyly at Aris] 'Cause we like adventure and danger.

Aris: [Rolls her eyes]

That is his intent.

Kimun loops his blade around the thrust, diverting it and returning to the supine guard.

Chayn: [Roars in alarm and anger. She spins rapidly, trying to shake off the villains. But at the same tame stops breathing poison, so the flames hit her.] I'll rip out every lung in all of you!

Me: A little violent there, Chayn. Ease up.

Kaida: *chuckles* Let me know if you do find it. I've been wondering about my fears for some time.

Lakkerfax: No, mountain dew is not flammable. The barrels will do fine though.

Lumevita: Fax, you're such a salamander.

Lakkerfax:

Me: Alright, so Malc and Erroy a little bigger than Merashath.

Malcolm: And we've fought before so I'll stick where I'm comfortable until we know more about the others. *Whips neck around sharply and barrels head on into Merashath's flames*

Erronys: *starts himself spinning and digs his snout into Merashath's back*

Elanhil: *thrusts again, but this time he aims for Kimun's hand.*

Me: What is the supine guard?

Elanhil: It's when he grips the sword with two hands.

Me: How would you know? I don't even...

Elanhil: I'm good.

Merashath: *Doesn't even flinch as the gas hits him. He is unaffected. When Chayn stops, he charges down with a shriek at full force, teeth barred and claws out.* Pirzak! Raczr! Get ready to leave!

Nameless: [Narrows his eyes] Oh? I'm sure you have at least one. Even a villain has his fears.

Me: Is Kaida in the same story as Pernoxnix and Tanner and the other geckos?

Tesmir: Well blow 'em up!

Tounon: You're getting way too much excitement out of this.

Tesmir: I know, it's great, isn't it? How close could we get without getting ourselves blown to bits?

Orrun: [Looks at Rune]

Rune: I'm not calling Tilmere unless the boy has lost a limb.

Chayn: [Roars in pain and Tries to throw Raczr off] You touch my rider again and I'll blow you all the way to the ends of this topic and right on past! Now LET HER GO!!!! [Wrenches her head around and snaps at Pirzak]

Me: Chayn, you spikes!

Chayn: [Glares murderously at Raczr, and her spike slowly sinks into her spine] Try to hold on to that, fiend.

Mordir: [Ignores random object that hits his shoulder] No. [Tries to climb up Thysal's leg and swipe at Jay] You call off your team, I'll call off mine. And, the girl won't get hurt.

Tanner: What's the deal this fear as a fear? Doesn't that seem a little counter productive?

Fulgar: All your talking is making him squirm KD, you can beat him without even drawing the blade!

Me: Yes, they all hail from the same compound. Although, Aren is also from his conclave, sort of a half and half as far as where he lives. But yeah, all the same story.

Aren: *to Rune* Ah, I see you have a companion as well *nods to Beron* does he hunt?

Lakkerfax: I can light it, Vita's right, I'm a salamander of sorts. Fire doesn't bother me in the least.

Erronys: *gets close enough to Chayn to grab Pirzak in his fore-claws and twirls violently into a nose dive*

Malcolm: Somewhere along the way you're going to have to hurt someone Erroy. *Slides up next to Chayn and tries to catch Raczr in his mouth*

Me - Erm, Jay isn't riding Thysal.

Thysal - (Claws at Mordir with her free paw, and bends down to snap at him) Gerroff!

Niarah - (places herself between Kai and Jay) Go save them, Jay!

Zanya - (paces in a circle restlessly) Right, I've had enough. (Shifts into feline form and runs towards Chayn. With a agile leap, she lands on Chayn's back and swipes at Raczr) Move it, villain!

Me - All of my charries are on the same side.

Rahor - I'm over here.

Ashrai - And I haven't picked a side yet.

Me - It'd be even more chaotic if you did.

Ashrai - (smiles grimly) Yes, it would be.

Rahor - I know what you're talking about. Ananthi are brutal and merciless. Stay out of it.

Ashrai - Surely. For now.

Me - Great . . .

Me: [To Tanner] What do you mean?

Nameless: Bah! No one can defeat me! Once I have all six tokens and release the monster imprisoned in the space between worlds, nothing can stop me! [Glares again at Kaida] You act brave, but how brave are you when you are cornered with no where to run, no where to hide?

Me: But in the meantime you don't have the tokens, so if you're gonna show everyone how 'high and mighty' you are. [Takes away the gun and hands him a sword] You do it the hard way. And you should really stop trying to sound scary.

Nameless: How dare you take my weapon!

Me: I'll give you dictionaries instead, and no weapon.

Nameless: I despise you.

Me: I know. Maybe you'll feel better when you have a name.

Chayn: [Grunts in pain she she tries to remain in flight with all the weight] These villains just don't give up, do they?

Rune: I'm not sure yet. Aris gave him to be suddenly, so he hasn't been in a story yet.

Beron: [Sniffs Aren and looks up at him, then lies down at Rune's feet]

Me: Rune, he's your battle partner. He fights with you. He can probably hunt, too.

Tesmir: So, do we pour the oil over the barrels? [Has an overeager gleam in his eye]

Mordir: Wah! [Slips around Thysal's leg, so he's more or less underneath her. Then he attempts to reach out and cut the underside of her leg]

Tanner: Oh it's just odd isn't it, fearing fear? If you're afraid of it it means you've already lost to it which breeds more fear... Just a thought.

Kaida: Bravery IS at the point in which there is no running or hiding. Otherwise people could be running and hiding. That's like saying try waking up when I've pulled the blankets off and yelled in your ears.

Me: Wow, my human characters are philosophical today.

Lakkerfax: NO! Pour it into the barrels. It needs to be sealed or it won't explode properly.

Aren: Avante is the same way. Stian is more distracted, however he is good on a speed hunt.

Kai: Ooooo-kay. I have a better idea. *swings up onto rafters* Let's just watch this fight.

Me: Coward?

Kai: Wise. I think ten different people/animals killed me while you were off here today.

Me: Good point. Cat-Dragon?

Cat-Dragon: *grabs Shawn and takes her over to Jay* Sorry, but kidnapping little girls isn't my idea of fun. @Amanda: I'll stick around for a bit. *watches the villains*

Me: 'kay.

Roel: Really? Guess my author was too lazy to go back and find out.

Me: Don't look at me!

Roel: *takes a running jump at Rahor and chops at his head on his way over*

Actually the supine guard is when he holds it (in one hand) with the wrist facing upwards, rather than the thumb facing upwards. I think the fencing term is tierce, but I am not sure.

Kimun slides his blade backwards and diverts it with the middle of the blade before engaging at the hilts again.

Elanhil: Oh...

Me: Wikipedia only found the supine position, which is NOT fencing.

Elanhil: *Pivots his blade, while pushing against Kimun's. He suddenly pushes his blade forward and upwards, causing it to suddenly loose contact with Kimun's. He automatically dodges, assuming a sudden, accidental thrust from the loss of a pushing force. When the sword is brought forward, he sweeps his sword down in a chop at Kimun's wrist.*

Merashath: *grabs Perzak and Raczr in his claws, one in each and flies down with them, and sets them on the ground.* Go get Shawn! *takes to flight again, and returns from below up to the dragons. When he nears, instead of going towards Chayn, he turns towards Thysal. When hr gets there, he slams into Thysal's back, causing Mordir to fly up into the air. When he is up there, Merashath flies up and allows him to land on his back. He stares head on into the faces of (good) angry dragons.* This may get messy.

Supine only means prone on the back. It applies to hand positions as well as body positions. That is one of the Tskarnorian terms, as I mentioned.

Kimun snaps his wrist sharply to the right, bring his blade parallel to the ground and catching the cut on it. He drives his wrist north, letting Elanhil's blade slip of the tip of his own sword, stepping closer and striking at Elanhil's back.

That is actually a real fencing move.

Me: How'd he get behind him?

Elanhil: *Leaps forward, and then twirls around, beating the blade down that would have hit his back. He then continues the motion by cutting upward towards Kimun.*

He didn't, but his arm is behind him.

Kimun slips the tip of his blade below Elanhil's blade and diverting it over his shoulder and then cutting at his arm.

Niarah - (Watches Kai disappear into the rafters, then turns and trots back to her own post) My work is done, the dragon can be happy now.

Thysal - (Reaches down and grabs Mordir by his tunic/shirt/whatever with her jaws, then throws him upwards towards Merashath) Just get outta here.

Zanya - This is what I get for meddling. (Ducks Raczr's swing and slams her shoulder into his torso, attempting to push him off) And yes, I do realize I just set myself up for another painful failure.

Sylvia - (Safely watching from a different post) I really can't believe you got yourself into another fight.

Zanya - You know, I can't believe it either.

Rahor - (Crouches under the swing and stabs upward as Roel goes by) No matter, my author has days like that.

Me - You don't stab with a katana!

Rahor - I just did. The rounded tip is sharpened like the rest of the blade.

Me - Why do I have such trouble-happy charries?

Me: I want to try this...I think...if my MCs aren't too embarrassed...

Brian: Why would we be embarrassed?

Emuna: Because we have Gavin with us...

Gavin: What's that supposed to mean?!

Emuna: *shrugs* you're so smart...you figure it out.

Me: Be nice!

Gavin: she started!

Emuna: I did not!

Brian: *pinches Emuna*

Emuna: Ow!

Brian: Manners....

Emuna: *sigh* Hello everyone! It's a pleasure to meet you.

Brian: Salutations. *bows slightly*

Gavin: Hi people...

Emuna: Wow, Gavin....you put forth so much effort....

Brian: Can you try to be nice today?

Emuna: Maybe...

Chayn: [Roars with immense fury] I'll hang the lot of you! Give back my rider! [Looks at Merashath] As much as I despise you, I thank you for relieving me of those two bull-headed ruffians.

Mordir: [Tries not to panic as he's thrown into the air. Grunts as he lands on Merashath's back.] Well, that went better than I thought it would.

Chayn: [Snarls and snaps at Pirzak, but misses he he leaves, then flies after Cat-Dragon, but with a lot of effort.] Ghh... These wounds are taking their toll.

Mordir: [Looks around calmly. Looks at Jay] Should you not call off your pathetic friends, the girl will get hurt. Or worse.

Tynx: [Suddenly realizes he's been doing nothing and takes off after Merashath]

Rowen: [Bursts past the characters safely on solid ground]

Me: Hey! Who said you could come in here?!

Rowen: I did.

Mordir: Ah, no. This isn't good.

Chayn: I can handle these villain, brother. I don't need your help!

Rowen: [Glides above the fighting] Oh, I can see that. You've lost your rider and your wounded. Yes, I can see that you have it all under control. For pity's sake, Chayn, don't try to do everything at once!

Chayn: [Roars at him and flies off after Shawn and Cat-Dragon]

Me: Rowen. Land. Right now.

Rowen: [Reluctantly obeys.]

Tesmir: OK, OK. [Helps Tounon pour the oil into the barrels, which total fifteen in all]

Me: [To Tanner] I think I get it now.

Nameless: You and i get nowhere with this war of words. We will fight!

Me: You, sir, are going to get yourself killed.

Seymour: With the type of personality you give some of your characters, I'm surprised many of them aren't dead already.

Me: Thanks, Seymour.

Seymour: [Looks at new characters] Welcome. There's a dragon war going on, so watch your heads.

Chayn: [Is roaring like a mad dragon]

Seymour: Especially watch out for her. She's rather angry at the moment.

Me: Oh. It still works at least...

Elanhil: *Elanhil slides the blade back, and then forward again as soon as Kimun's blade contacts his.*

Merashath: *Descends upon Chayn, letting out a burst of fire. He then turns and meets Tynx.*

Gavin: Dragons! Were?! Ohh...*hides behind Brian*

Brian: You do realize you're hiding behind someone younger than you right?

Gavin: Yah, but if you die...nobody cares.

Emuna: And you tell me to be nice...

Brian: I tell you to be nice because you'll end up taking things to a more violent level.

Me: Than I'm going to have to figure out how to write it down!

Emuna: Violence isn't a bad thing...

Gavin: It is when put in your grasp.

Me: Gavin, be nice or I'm going to let her challenge you.

Brian: Please tell me that's an empty threat...

Me: I don't know...she'd fit in nicely with the dragons...

Emuna: I recent that...if I could breath fire and/or fly I wouldn't put up with Gavin!

Me: Good point...

Brian: I wouldn't say that because she isn't a dragon Gavin is completely in the clear.... *points to dagger on Emuna's belt*

Emuna: *looks down* what this? It's precautionary.

Brian: Hello, Jacy...I'm certain we'll fit in quite well...especially those two.

Gavin: *still hiding behind Brian* What do you mean especially those two?!

Emuna: I think he mispronounced his sentence, he meant especially you.

Gavin: Did he now?

Emuna: Yes he did!

Gavin & Emuna: *screaming at each other*

Me: it's like they never left the pages of the book...

Brian: I don't think the word Tuliran is in my vocabulary...

Me: That's because it isn't in mine....

Brian: Well, I certainly know what a dragon is.

Emuna: oo! Dragon! Hello, Ivy.

Gavin: I wasn't through scolding you!

Emuna: I recall it differently...I thought I was scolding you.

Me: Guys, this fighting is going to get old, really fast...

Brian: What do you mean by going to? It already has.

Mordir: [Laughs] If you think you can stop me, by all means come and try. But be warned, I will not spare the life of any hero, male or female. [Looks at Jay] You will be the first.

Me: Easy there, tough guy-

Mordir: No! I have let myself be restrained by you for too long! I'm sick and tired of being mocked and teased. Villains are to be feared, and I will ensure that all villains here are to be feared by everyone!

Me: ....

Seymour: You've made him rather upset.

Me: I have... He's quite passionate about this, isn't he?

Tynx: Brilliant work, genius. [Growls at Merashath] Glad to see you've come back. Miss me?

Chayn: [Rolls out of the way, glaring up at Merashath] Just hold on tight for now, little one. Are you hurt? [Takes to the skies once Shawn is settled]

Me: My characters are getting violent.

Rune: They're all riled up. War does that to a body.

Me: WHat started the dragon war? I don't remember...

Rune: That also happens in war. If it goes on long enough, nobody's gonna remember how it started.

Chayn: That doesn't matter now! I will put down anyone who dares touch my rider!

Rowen: [Looks at me pleadingly]

Me: No, you stay put. There's enough winged creatures up there for now. Your sister will be fine for now.

Seymour: [Looks at Brian] Those two must keep you on your toes, with all their bickering.

Mordir: Klista, a little help up here would be nice!

Me: You really shouldn't yell at her-

Mordir: I'm not taking orders from you!!!

All my other characters: [Looks at me]

Me: Fine. If you're going to be that way, I won't stop you.

Seymour: Ar-

Me: No. If he's going to get all angry and pig-headed, he'll just have to learn the hard way.

Seymour: [Frowns]

Mordir: [Looks at the battling] Taking down these dragons is our top priority right now. When they're down, we'll have an easier time destroying the others. Tynx will be a problem, since he can shapeshift. But he won't be as hard as the dragons. Once we have the heroes taken down, we might try for Kimun, but that's doubtful... [Seems to be talking more to himself]

Brian: *at Seymour* Yes, they do, but Emuna isn't as bad as she seems...once you get her away from Gavin.

Gavin: What about me?!

Me: No, you still annoy Brian when you're away from Emuna.

Emuna: *stifles laugh*

Gavin: I'm not that bad! Say I'm not that bad, I command you!

Emuna: Sure...you're just a dollop of sunshine, Gavin...

Gavin: *glares at Emuna* Your opinion is excluded.

Me: You guys fight like little children....honestly, you could act more mature.

Brian: You mean they, right? Not me?

Me: You can loose your temper too Brian...just you don't do it so often.

Gavin: Yah! When he losses his temper he really goes insane!

Emuna: He does not!

Brian: Uhh...

Gavin: Yes, he does! He almost killed me!

Emuna: Brian wouldn't kill you! Don't you think he would've done it by now?!

Brian: That's an exaggeration, Gavin...

Me: Gavin...you're going to get Brian angry...
