IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a fictional religion – these gods are not real in the least. I have created them for these imaginary world-building purposes, and those only. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the only God – the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

The Pandora religion cannot be concretely defined. It is, most generally, the predominant religion of the water-people. But its many facets and sides confuse the would-be demographer and are all so hopelessly entangled that it may be all categorized as Pandora: the religion of nature.

There are thousands and thousands of gods of the Pandora faith, everything from the god of the goldfish to the powerful god of the Currents. Some of the most powerful and predominant are featured below:

Without a doubt, the god of the Currents, Ar'gai, is the most powerful god worshipped by the water-people. Through his currents, people may be swept away and never return. Temples to Ar'gai exist in every town of the water-people.

The god of the Deeps, Ba'nai, is the most feared of all gods. She is traditionally the opponent to Ar'gai. Water-people crave the sunlight that is only found at the surface areas of the water, and in shallower seas. The deeps are dark and cold, where water-people die and are never found again. Ba'nai's name is almost never mentioned among them.

Urud'tai, the god of the plants, is similar to a harvest god; it is he who brings the seaweed and plants which the sea-people eat. This god is well-loved and friendly; the water-people frequently invoke his name as a good luck charm.

Moody and unpredictable, Bari is the god of the Fish. Sending everything from the sharks to the tiny fish the sea-people use for food, he is a source of help that cannot be trusted. Still, the sea-people are thankful to him for his provision of fish they use for food.

(Hope that wasn't too Avatar - I haven't seen the movie but I know Pandora is in there somewhere)

Thanks for the important note. Amen to that! :D

That sounds really interesting. A bit weird perhaps, but interesting. ;)

I thought that note was good to put before anything I post about religion (I'm going to do it for all of them from now on), so yeah. =)

It is weird. Definitely weird, but definitely interesting, like you said. Roman/Greek gods have always fascinated me, as have the Nature gods of Indians/Native Americans so I tried to kind of mix the two. :)
