Origin introduction

Origin is the (appropriately titled) home planet of all species of life, and maintains the largest population of man, despite increasing disasters.

Origin was greatly altered by man. Nuclear power plants, hydro-electric power plant dams, the empty remains of cities the size of Australia, and satellites leaving orbit and crashing into the planet make this an inhospitable land to the human culture which resides there.

Origin's continents have only a little east to west span, but have a much longer north to south span, making rainfall more common. However, the prevalent mountain ranges of these continents force agricultural communities to live on or near the coasts, where tsunamis-caused by disintegrating machinery designed to prevent tectonic activity-regularly decimate the coast line.

These extremely wet, somewhat tropical regions prevent communication between continents, which prevents the rise of new technology.

Redemption is to be purchased, to have a price paid. So I was redeemed from my master sin, and from justice, which demanded my death. For He paid the price of sin by becoming sin, and met the demands of justice by dying for us.

For all men have a master. But a man cannot have two masters. For he will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve God and sin. So I die to the old, as He died, and I am resurrected to the new, as He was resurrected.

Wow, Neil! You did a great job on Origin!
How much technology do they have? Has it been completely wiped out by disasters?
Just wondering!

The people of Origin have basically been reduced to technology slightly above that of the Native Americans, because they now believe that technology is evil, and that the nature god is punishing them for once using technology through these disasters.

So they had super technology, more than we do in other words, but are afraid they are being punished, so they went back to primitive tech.
