When you are looking through a forum thread you used to be able to click on the people's names and view their profile, then PM them etc; how come you can't do that anymore? You can no longer click on their names.

Can you click on the 'profile' button at the bottom of their post?

In most other locations you can click on the username and it will take you to their profile. In threads you use the links at the bottom. :)

Well if you had been bitten by the "total dumbness" bug, so had I, Elly. :D Thanks for asking that question. I have been meaning to for quite some time!

*smacks self*

I knew one couldn't click on the name, so I always just had to go around the hard way to view someone's profile. I need to pay more attention to the buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Wow, a MARCHER LORD didn't know. . . you know, just to make it easier on folks, perhaps you should set it so names link to profiles. I think people come here expecting the layout to be like other forums. It might make it easier for newbies. :)

Baha! :D It took me a while to figure it out too! I was crazy-clicking the name for ages, till I inspected the buttons at the bottom! :D *pats Elanor* Seems we've all been bit by the same bug. ;)

This Marcher Lord had no previous forum experience and still has little or no moderating experience. There are a lot of things I don't know. I do my best, though. :D

I am going to be adding a 'www' button at the bottom with the others to link to the person's website. Eventually. Perhaps when I do that I will make the username a link. :)

I didn't see it either! It's funny how no one ever sees things like that even though they're in plain sight, unless they already know they're there!
