Kai: *bows* You may begin it, if you wish. *holds sword at the ready*

Cehlrym: *grumbling* Why me? Why doesn't someone challenge Bran or something?

Bran: Don't give them ideas, please. I much prefer to observe right now.

Me: Besides, Cehlrym, you can't be permanently hurt here. It's a perfect opportunity for you to train more.

Cehlrym: I'm not a fighter! *studies Kai for a moment and then darts forward, slashing at Kai's arm*

Kai: *blocks upwards and forces the point of Cehlrym's sword into the ground*

Roel: Hey Bran, you can fight me!

Cehlrym: *takes a quick step backward and frees his sword, then takes a step to the left and attacks again*

Bran: I wasn't planning on fighting...

Roel: But you can anyway, right?

Me: Wait till I finish finding you a sword, k?

Roel: *sigh*

Kai: *dodges attack to the right and makes a counterattack, a horizontal slash from right to left*

Cehlrym: *spins out of the way of the attack*

Bran: *sighs* (to me) Why did you bring me here again?

Me: Well...as soon as you started saying you didn't want to be here, I knew I had to put you in...

Bran: I should have guessed.

Trina: *suddenly stops her dancing and looks straight at Tanner. With one nod at me the glass dome disappears and Trina runs forward and jumps on in front of Tanner.* I would gladly see an end to Merashath. Let's go!

Me: (Trina is on the small side of average sized fifteen year old girl. If that's too big let me know...It's no problem.)

Elanhil: *Moves his eyes from staring straight at Griffin to Trina.* No! Don't!

Merashath: I am glad for the help. Let's get these dragons! *Looks especially bloodthirstily at Malcolm*

Me: Don't worry. Concentrate on your duel. She'll be fine. I'd like you all to meet Imprass. She's one of the last living Seers. She's an elf, and if she needs to she can fight, but normally only does so to defend herself.

Imprass: *Smiles slightly and looks around the room. Her eyes stop on the duel between Elanhil and Griffin and Chase.* Griffin and Lady Aris, don't read this, Ok? Griffin will thrust at Elanhil while he is distracted, and then move his sword to chop from upper left to lower right. Chase will come up unexpected and slash at...either Elanhil or Griffin. My vision is cloudy.

Me: *Shakes head.* That won't happen you know. Your powers are useless here.

Imprass: How know you this?

Me: Just do me a favor and never question an author.

Imprass: *Smiling* Just watch.

Chase: Wait, what can't she read?!

Me: Chill. Focus on your duel.

Chase: Fine. [Cuts at Elanhil's sword arm while he's distracted.]

Cory: I can do swords, more or less. And a bit of magic.

Tynx: Aw, come on. Why does he get the poison breathing dragon?

Me: Because the authors say so. Authors rule all. Mwahahaha!

Cassie: Oh, cool! [Watches the fire melt the snow.] I've never seen snow melt that fast before...

Mordir: Does Allei get snow?

Me:... Probably. Haven't developed that part yet.

Cory: Do any of your lands get snow?

Me: You're all just determined to criticize every aspect of what I make, aren't you?

Mordir: Can we help it if you make annoyingly humorous characters?

Me: I wish.

Chayn: What's the plan?

Seymour: I'll help you find your missing dragon, Ryan.

[Something silvery white floats through Thysal's wing harmlessly. Then spirals downward quickly and perches on Sabre's shoulder.]

Chase: Aris!

Me: Hey, they need to be developed. She won't bite. Not here, anyway.

Imprass: See? Part is coming true.

Me: In the wrong order.

Elanhil: *flicks his wrist so that his sword blocks Chase's sword.*

Malcolm: we only intended to practice some stunts but if it's a fight you want *eyes flare from placid golden-yellow to crimson fiery-red* a fight you shall have! *flames spill from his mouth as he lifts off*.

Tanner: *To Merashath* sorry dude, looks like people are out to get you...

Chayn: Let's do it! [Emits a battle roar and flies very fast straight ahead]

Chase: [Brings his sword around the other way immediately after and slices at Elanhil's stomach]

Tynx: I don't know. Merashath is just a bad idea all around, unless you're the symbol of perfection.

Mordir: You need the King of Eun-Kitt or Prince Aivere for that.

Me: No. Since they're in a Biblical allegory, who do you think they'd represent, if they could defeat Merashath?

Mordir: So? What better way to counter one extreme with another?

Me: No. I'm not bringing in anyone else in right now (except the ghost), and all stories are on hold for the week, until Saturday.

All my characters: What?!

Me: Shush. I'm focusing on other stuff.

Thysal - Whoa, what was that? (stares that the silvery-white object on Chase's shoulder) That was nothing if not strange. So, Jay, who do we get first? (hovers in the air, her wings beating rhythmically)

Zanya - (dips her head towards Vetis, then walks over to sit by the thread walls, her shoulders rigid)

Akira - She is too proud, this is good for her.

Sabre - So, I forgot exactly what happened during that duel.

Me - Don't ask, some of that information concerning you is classified until further notice.

Sabre - What?

Ryan - Thanks Seymour. Silver?

Niarah - Imprass is a seer? How does that work? I mean, how are you able to forsee the future?

Silver - (leaps from her hiding spot and into the deluge of rubber balls in Lady E's post) Whooo!

Sylvia - Found her!

Ryan - (jumps over and grabs for his wayward dragon) Silver!

Silver - (skitters away, and darts towards Aris's post) Noooo!

Me: She is kinda sorta like a prophetess. She receives visions from God sometimes. But when she predicted the duel, she was using her knowledge and experience to try and decipher what was going to happen.

Trina: Sorry if I changed your plans. Whoa! *tightens her grip on Malcolm as they take off* This'll be fun!

Elanhil: *leaps backwards so that Chase hits air, and then cuts upward straight through the center, aiming for Chase's face.*

Merashath: *shrieking loudly* Prepare to meet your doom!

Me: That battle up there has been hanging in mid-air for awhile. Nobody is doing anything!!

Chayn: Let's gettem! [Dives down toward Thysal.]

Chase: [Tries to lean back as Elanhil's sword passes by his face, but his forehead his cut] Sheesh, I'll be dead from blood loss if I don't do something!

Me: Then do something. Attack with abandon.

Mordir: You only do that when you're desperate.

Me: He's desperate.

Mordir: Well, then by all means, go ahead.

Cory: Weirdos. [Turns to Kimun] Fine by me. Aris?

Me: Fine, you can have a sword. [Puts a random sword in his hand] Have at it, buddy.

Me: That, Thysal, is a type of ghost that will appear in Chase's story. She lives in a creepy funhouse world. She doesn't have a name, so we'll just call her Ghost.

Ghost: Creativity certainly did die.

Me: I don't need to give you a name. I'm not getting to the story for a long while, so be quiet and behave.

Seymour: [SMiles and watches Silver run away. He kneels down and lets her run right into his arms] You should know, little one. When you are absent for long hours, your friend will come in numbers.

Me: What are you? A fortune cookie?

Seymour: A what?

Malcolm: Swords to the ready my friends!

Me: BAM. Sword.

Tanner: *Holds up random sword* Um okay? *Holds it to the ready*

Malcolm: *Forces his way straight up through the air clawing and shooting flames as he passes Merashath*

Tanner: *slashes at Merashath as they fly past*

Malcolm: *stops above Merashath and plummets down again*

Tanner: Wow! I said stunts, I guess I asked for it!

Pernoxnix: *looks back from Erronys* They're trying to kill each other again...

Erronys: *rolls his eyes and hums peacefully*

*the song Dragon Rider by Two Steps From H*** starts to play.*

Merashath: *Spins around and flies just below Malcolm. Hovers in one spot, and just as Malcolm comes back down for him he moves backwards, positioning his talons where his body was. He pushes Malcolm backwards, and goes into a dive and flies beside him.*

Trina: *Pulls a dagger out of a concealed sheath. She stabs at Merashath, who circles around Malcolm in his dive to appear on the other side. He suddenly rams into them, and then levels off.*

Elanhil: *panting* Don't worry. You can't die here. *thrusts* Don't forget about Griffin.

Imprass: *ruffles eyebrow.* I guess you were right.

Seymour: I don't. I don't know what she's talking about.

Me: Forget it. Never mind.

Cory: Um, a name and history?... [Feels embarrassed] C'mon, Aris?

Me: I'm pullin' the same blank you are... I don't think it has one. Cory is more of a dagger person, so he doesn't really own an actual sword.

Cory: Well, I do. But Aris isn't one for giving them names and histories.

Me: Are you mocking me?

Cory: No, of course not.

Me: Uh-huh. Alright, here's the sword you own. [Switches swords. The new one looks very similar to the old] Nothing different about it, it's just the sword he uses in a story.

Cory: I was fine with the other one. [Shrugs and watches Kimun closely]

Chayn: [Brings her tail around as she passes Thysal and slams it into Jay] Can't forget the tail, little one.

Mordir: Question.

Me: Hopefully an answer.

Mordir: Why do dragon call us humans little ones?

Me: Probably because we're a lot smaller than them.

Chase: Oh, good. [Counters with his own thrust, but keeps an eye on Griffin.]

Cassie: [Strokes Erronys's side and kisses his head lightly] You look happy, Erronys. Do you like flying?

Erronys: ... *flies straight up and twirls down again*

Pernoxnix: He likes to be understood Cassie. As a mute member of the largest race of flying dragons it can be hard to find.

Me: (if you were talking to me Kimun) It's name is Placeholder and it's history is randomly appearing in internet duels when a character did not have the foresight to grab his own.

Tanner: Hey!

Malcolm: Prepare yourself! *twirls into dive and cuts Merashath off, grabs his head in his mouth and breaths fire*

Tanner: *jumps onto Malcolm's head and stabs at Merashath's back*

Thysal - Jay! (spins and dives down below him so that he lands astride her back) You with me now? Lets go get 'em!

Niarah - (watching Malcolm and Merashath) That's a little extreme.

Silver - (bounds back to Lady E's post, grabs a spare rubber ball, then brings it back to Seymour) Can you throw it?

Ryan - Thanks, Sey. She's really out of control, here.

Ember - (still gripping Chayn with his tiny claws and leaning against Shawn)

Thysal - (Spins and flies after Chayn, striking her in the flank. She then pulls loose and flies straight down, pulling level to the ground) How're we doing?

Me: yes wyverns can be rather...passionate

Merashath: *Curves his body into a 'U' making it harder to for tanner to grasp. He places his talons on Malcolm's neck and scratches at his throat.*

Trina: *eyes widen as she see's Tanner's dagger.* NO! Stop! There's only one place that affects him. It's in the crook of his arm. Malcolm! He's a Pyro! Fire re-generates him. He's tough to beat.

Elanhil: *locks with Chase at the hilt. When he leans in towards Chase, he cuts his cheek on Chase's blade. While Elanhil is leaning in, he suddenly dis-engages and twirls so that he is suddenly behind Chase. He chops downward.*

Chayn: Why you-! [Twists around and breathes poison Thysal's direction]

Tynx: Darn, I was hoping special effects wouldn't be introduced until later. [Rams into Chayn]

Chayn: [Glides away to a safe distance to recover]

Cory: [Slices viciously at Kimun's chest]

Cassie: Whee!

Mordir: Whee?

Me: She's just a kid, leave her alone.

Chase: [Tries to pull away, but does so just as Elanhil twists around behind him, and runs into him (Elanhil). He brigns his sword up and blocks it with the flat of his blade, which rest on his free hand for extra support] This is getting.... intense.

Chayn: [I'm still here. Tynx is heavier than he looks]

Tynx: Hey! You and Jay holdin' up, Thysal? That poison didn't get to ya, did it?

Seymour: [Smiles and catches the ball] Of course. [Tosses the ball several yards behind Silver.]

Malcolm: *winces, stops breathing fire but claps down harder onto Merashath*

Tanner: *slips slightly but catches on of Malcolm's horns and crawls back to his neck* Care to do the honors Trina?

Chayn: Back off! [Sprays a jet of poison at Malcolm and Tanner.], then proceeds to ram herself full force into them, specifically at Malcom's neck.]

Tanner: *leans over on Malcolm's neck and positions his sword right where Chayn will hit them.* Hurry Trina!

Me: I think we should have a few characters we just invent for here so they can have actual fates connected to these battles.

Trina: *bites her lower lip, and then propels her dagger towards Merashath.*

Merashath: *Wrenches his head free of Malcolm, and the smacks the dagger out of Trina's hand. He turns to fly away, and smacks Trina in the face with his tail as he does so.

Trina: Ouch! Help! AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Elanhil: *Stops momentarily as his sword is blocked and breathes a heavy sigh.* I'm not quitting yet. *glances upward, a small smile creeping across his face. He jumps backwards.* Hey Chase! Look up!

*The dagger Trina dropped is headed straight for Chase.*

Imprass: Oh no! The girl!

Me: She'll be fine. Don't worry.

Malcolm: *dives and swoops under Trina*

Tanner: *grabs Trina's hand and pulls her onto Malcolm's back*

Malcolm: *flies after Merashath*

Chayn: [Snarls at Tanner and flies off a feet yards, watching everyone closely]

Tynx: [Turns sharply to his left and aims a torrent of fire at Merashath]

Chase: Huh! [Looks up.] Ack! [Smacks the dagger away in alarm, unfortunately with his free hand] Ow! Could I have been any more stupid?!

Mordir: Could've been worse. You could have missed.

Cassie:

Me: Really, was that necessary?

Chase: [Tosses the dagger back up to Trina] Be careful, kay?

Cory: [Grips his sword with both hands.] I do seem to have a habit of rushing things. [Comes at Kimun from a different angle, this time bring his sword down at Kimun's head, but quickly using his speed to horizontally slice at his middle.]

Mordir: And that is about as strategic as Aris can get.

Me: Honestly, I'm just about ready to pound you.

Mordir: [Gets hit in the back of the head] Ow! [Glares angrily at Shawn (the author).]

Seymour: Calm down.

Mordir: Don't tell me to calm down! Did you see-

Seymour: I did. But you were asking for it.

Mordir: But-

Seymour: Everyone saw something like that coming, boy. From Aris or from someone else.

Cory: [Tries to pull back. He winces as Kimun's blade nicks the inside of his wrist (not literally inside, but under his palm] What would you suggest?

Seymour: We should have had him duel Kimun a long time ago.

Me: For who's benefit? His or mine?

Mordir: Yours.

Me: I wasn't asking you.

Me - Gotta love those smart-alecky villains.

Thysal - (Appears from the poison cloud, unaffected, then rams into Chayn once more from beneath. She pushes the other dragon away with her paws as she dives down towards the ground, then pulls up, circling towards the ceiling of the forum) Jay, are you alive?

Ember - (Is enjoying himself immensely, despite the dragon war. He instinctively digs his claws in for a better grip)

Sylvia - Is everyone ok up there? (watches Chayn and Ember anxiously)

Niarah - You humans always worry; they're fine.

Silver - Yes! (bounds after the ball and pounces on it, then brings it back to Seymour) Again?

Chayn: [Grunts and swats at Thysal with her wings as she retreats a little ways.] She doesn't even look fazed by the poison.

Tynx: Thank goodness! [Charges at Chayn.]

Chayn: Back off! [Rushes at Tynx and they lock talons.]

Mordir: Well, the hero's aren't being annoying, so someone's gotta keep the authors on their toes.

Me: But there's a fine line between keeping us busy, and driving us up the wall with insanity. You, my friend, are bordering on the latter.

Seymour: [Smiles and tosses the ball again, this time a bit further.]

Elanhil: *snorts* I uh...wonder where Griffin is?

Trina: *breathes a sigh of relief, and tightens her grip on Tanner's waist* Sorry guys. I should be more careful. *Looks down to see the dagger not nearly reach their height.* Sorry, guess I'll have to do without.

Imprass: No you won't. Your brother will provide it.

Me: Oh, yeah right.

Elanhil: *Looks as the dagger lands again in the dirt next to him. He picks it up and tosses it lightly in the air, and then makes it float up to Trina by changing it's molecular composition to make it lighter than air.*

Trina: *grabs it* Thanks! *re-sheathes it, and then turns to look where they are going.*

Me: *jawfloor*
