Tanner: Sorry guys, I think I"m done dueling for now.

Erronys: *Gently approaches Cassie and sniffs her* .....

Ravork: I ACCEPT!!!!!!!!!!!

Me: He didn't challenge you.

Ravork: No, but he asked to duel someone.

Me: If you don't feel up to it, it's fine, he is 6 ft. 4 in. and 250 lbs. of pure muscle.

Ravork: Come on ya yellow-bellied chicken!!

Tesra: Where'd you learn that?

Ravork: It's funny what you pick up here on Earth.

Thysal - Gotcha! (Catches Merashath by wrapping her claws about his middle in a firm grip) Now what?

Niarah - Keep him for a souvenier! I don't know. (Twirls her staff boredly)

Sabre - (shakes off the mental attack, and whirls to face Vetis once more. Leaping, he crashes down on top of the villain, digging his claws in)

Akira - Draconai have powerful mental shields, apparently?

Me - I'm not one for mind penetration.

Akira - Noted. But that's how Darkness works.

Me - Not here.

Ryan - Hey, Vetis, who's your protagonist?

Zanya - (hauls herself to her feet and glares at Negraz) We pathetic wimps have a better chance of winning than you do in the long run. That's the way hero:villain relationships work.

Me - Clarification; you don't. Leave that to Griffin and his allies.

Sylvia - This is turning into a role playing thing.

Ember - Yeeeee! (is having a great time)

Vetis: *teleports out of the way of the attack, materializing beside Ryan* An insufferable magus named Arkantos. *vanishes again, reappears as a massive, jet-black demon, with a huge sword in one hand, and purple fire coming off of him, with massive bat wings on his back* *he laughs at Sabre, daring him to come forward*

Cassie: Huh? [Turns to see Erronys] Hello! [Strokes Erronys's nose]

Mordir: [Anger flares.] What did you just call me?! [Draws his sword.]

Cory: Uh, I'll just.... uh, stand over here.

Chayn: If Elbas, Rowan, or... whatever the name of the otehr dragon was, and you were their Keeper, you would be able to withstand fire, electricity, and water better than normal humans.

Chase: You forgot a character's name?

Me: She's never really showed up in a story, alright?

Tynx: Throw him somewhere! Fly straight down to the ground and then come back up really fast, but throw Merashath down as you do!

Me: What's gotten into you?

Chayn: He's competitive.

Cory: Obviously.

Cassie: Oh, Aris, can I keep him?! He's so cute!

Me: Darling, you would scare the living daylights out of your mother.

Cassie: Aww. I guess you're right.

Chase: I remember when I brought home a wild snake. It didn't go well that day.

Cory: What happened?

Chase: She killed it with a hammer, then she wouldn't come out of her room all day. Dad was mad, and I had to clean up my new newly deceased pet.

Cory: Oh...

Merashath: *His and Tynx's claws latch onto each others, and then Merashath flings Tynx downward. He then Turns and flies towards Thysal, and latches his Talons onto hers.* So long Tanner.

Me: I felt a need to change up the situation. Merashath isn't the type that gets thrown around. The only time it ever happens is through really strong magic.

Elanhil: *Chops upward with the sword, hitting Griffin's sword upwards, towards his shoulder. With a little duck, the sword passes just over Elanhil's shoulder. He reaches with his left hand across his body and grabs Griffins hand. He then spins around and holds on to Griffins arm with two hands, and flips him over his shoulder.* (Griffin can avoid this, but that's what he tried to do anyway.)

Hadwin: *Desperately tries to free himself from the giant hand that holds him in place. He hangs his head, in apparent surrender. At that minute Hadwin disappears, and the giant hand closes in on nothing.*

Trina: I can't concentrate with all this booming and lightning and screeching. Musicians, stop. We'll come back. Where's Hadwin?

Me: That's for me to know and you to find out.

Hadwin: *appears behind Philip with a sudden boom.* I'm not giving up that easy. But if you'd like, we can be done now.

*A sound proof dome appears over the clearing and the musicians start playing again and Trina resumes her explanation of the dance.*

Me: I should bring in some members of the League of Wizards.

Erronys: *thrumms low in his throat*

Malcolm: He can give you a ride if you like Cassie.

Pernoxnix: *scrambles up Tanner's back* How was your battle?

Tanner: *Arches back* Warn me first buddy! It was good I guess, I'm not really sure how these fights are supposed to go.

Skooter: You can use snow. Snow is good.

Chayn: On whose side shall we fight?

Tynx: Competitive? Who?

Me: You, silly.

Cory: I was funny?

Me: You're always funny.

Cory: Thank you.

Mordir: You two are so weird.

Cory: Takes one to know one.

Cassie: [Eyes widen] I can? Really?

Tynx: [Struggles to regain his balance. After a bit of struggled flapping, he levels out] Wow, that was intense. You still on, Iri? [Tries twisting his head backward]

Mordir: The whole duel's gonna end and we all realize Iri's fallen off ages ago.

Me: Be nice. I'm sure Iri's fine. Tynx may be reckless, but he won't lose anyone.

Mordir: Wanna bet?

Me: Go fight someone.

Chase: [Silently comes up behind Elanhil and thrusts.]

Mordir: Where did that squirrel get to And the horse?

Me: Um.... good question. We'll say Ashton's over there eating, and Ponkin's.... um, somewhere probably getting himself in trouble. His location is currently unknown, so dragons - and bat-people - might want to check their tails for furry rodents.

Tynx: Seriously?

Me: You never know.

Elanhil: *standing alone, breathing heavily. His sixth sense tells him that something is behind him, so he ducks and allows Chases sword to go over him, so he reaches up and grabs Chases arm and flips him over on top of Griffin. (that is, if Griffin is on the ground. I need to see his reaction. )

Thysal - (gripping Merashath's talons, suddenly dives downward, with Merashath beneath her. At the last moment, she releases herself and zooms back upwards, leaving Merashath to fall. She swirls, then returns with and rams him headfirst)

Niarah - Competitive is definitely an understatement.

Ryan - (jumps as Vetis materializes next to him) Whoa!

Sabre - (snarls at the demon, and charges once more. Before Vetis can vanish, the dragon slams into him, tearing with teeth and claws)

Zanya - (touches her wound) I feel like a fool, we both underestimated him.

Sabre - (leaps free of Vetis, crouching warily) You feel like a fool? I'm fighting him when we both know that it's an impossible task!

Me - Hey, you both asked for it.

Erronys: *smiles and leans forward so Cassie can climb on his neck.*

Phillip: No way, although if you can disappear and reappear, you'll win in the end. Well, I might as well go out in a blast. (an earthquake starts, shaking Hadwin from his feet, the lightning continues and Phillip sends repeated blasts at Hadwin, he creates two tornadoes in the storm, throwing them at Hadwin, then he drops away the ground in a circle around Hadwin, created a seemingly endless pit, out of the pit, lava shoots upwards, creating an intense heat, through this the tornadoes come, now spewing fire as well, takes the earth he took out of the chasm and throws it toward Hadwin, to hit behind to other things)

Griffin: (hits the ground, but rolls to his feet, now standing behind Elanhil, swipes at Elanhil's legs with his sword and stabs at his torso with his javelin)

Ravork: I'll fight you Mordir!

I finally got up the nerve to join the craziness here...so, meet Cehlrym and Bran, everyone.

Cehlrym: Hi.

Bran: *crosses his arms and says nothing*


Cehlrym's not actually human, although he looks like it. He has a teensy tiny bit of control over fire, and it doesn't hurt him. He also has the ability to see emotions and thoughts, although not those of people with mental shields. (Although he might be able to penetrate the shields if he tried hard enough...haven't had to work out that detail before.)

Bran's human. He's a former mercenary and soldier and in my world, one of the best sword fighters ever. (I'm kind of afraid to let him in any fights, because I'm not a terribly good writer when it comes to fights but he ought to be able to hold his own in most cases.) Bran would also like me to tell everyone that coming here wasn't his idea.

Tanner: No sweat Bran, none of us really had a choice either! I didn't really even have a choice coming to a fantasy world, ya get what ya get, make the most of it.

Skooter: Hello, fire human!

Pernoxnix: *touches for claw to forehead and extends* Greetings fellows.

Malcolm: *snorts* Care to play with fire Cehlrym?

Erronys:......

Bran: I think I'd prefer to stay off of the dragons, thanks.

Cehlrym: *grins* I think it'd be fun. *looks at Malcolm* I'm always up for playing with fire!

Bran: *takes a couple of steps away from Cehlrym and mutters* In more ways than one...

Hadwin: Not at all, my good man. It is very draining. What I do is my molecules come apart from each other and I can make them come together someplace else. You are by no means helpless. Whoah... What's happening? *Hadwin is knocked off his feet as the earthquake hits, and he quickly regains his footing. Just as the lightning is about to strike, Hadwin puts up a force-field. As soon as it is hit, it shatters. The ground opens up and Hadwin barely hangs on to the edge, and then the lava bursts upwards. Hadwin is propelled into the air, and then he stops, hovering about 50 meters up. The lava forms into a wave and then gushes towards Phillip.*

Me: I'll take care of the rest later. Gotta go right now.

Seymour: Hello, new characters.

Cory: Join the fun.

Cassie: [Eagerly climbs up onto Erronys] I've never ridden a Basilisk before.

Me: You've never ridden much of anything.

Cassie: Can i ride the elephant in Chase's story?

Me: Ah, no. Should I bring one of the ghosts to develop them?

Chase: Absolutely not! Wah! [Lands hard on his back, the breath knocked out of him]

Mordir: You're on!

Chayn: Look out, Tynx! [Clips Tynx's head as she zooms past to Join Merashath]

Tynx: Hey!

Cory: [To Bran] So what's your story like?

Pernoxnix: *crawls up behind Cassie* Dragons are much better companions in this cold weather.

Erronys: *gently lifts off and begins circling the... (me: wait a second what does the scenery here look like anyway?)... field.*

Malcolm: *breathes fire at Cehlrym* Tell me if it gets overbearing small fry.

Cassie: Oooh! [Closes eyes tight for a moment, then opens them again, looking around.] Oh, wow. It's so pretty up here!

Bran: Mostly it's my author ruining my life.

Me: Hey...

Bran: The later events aren't so bad. She's got a lot of my life worked out, so just how bad things are depends on the time period. But she killed off just about everyone I cared about twice.


Cehlrym: (enjoying the fire) I don't think it's likely to get too hot. I'm not sure it's even possible.

Me: The same thing happened to Tanner, you don't see him complaining.

Me: :rofl: Well, Bran actually doesn't usually complain that much...he probably normally wouldn't talk this much, either. I'm not always very good at roleplaying my characters.

Cory: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how it feels, losing a loved one.

Me: You make it sound like it's my fault.

Cory: You are the author. Thus, it's your fault. But you did what you had to, my dad was a villain.

Me: Yeah. Maybe I can figure somethin' out.

Cory: [Looks up hopefully]

Me: I'm not promising anything. It's just a thought.

Seymour: Like all the other ideas you've had, yet never act on?

Me: No one asked for your opinion, sir.

*Sabre's teeth and claws meet no resistance, passing through Vetis*

Vetis: *appears unphased* Interesting. *lifts one hand and blasts Sabre with a beam of black fire, ice, lightning, poison, air, earth, sonic, and pure darkness, killing him*

Roel: I wish those two would give up and let Negraz fight that demon...

Kai: They're stubborn. Like someone I know. *looks at Roel*

Roel: Huh? *looks innocent*

Klasina: Welcome, Bran and Cehlyrm. *curtseys*

Kai: Ah, Cehlyrm. Perfect. Now we can finish our duel while I wait for Fairivel.

Me: *shakes head at violent characters*

Kai: We get it from you.

Me: Don't think so.

Kai: I do.

Me: But it doesn't matter what you think.

Kai: *sigh*

Sabre - (snorts as the attack leaves him unscathed) Nice try.

Zanya - (breathes a sigh of relief)

Sabre - Vetis, you're fighting from the spirit world and I'm fighting from the physical world. Unless you fight only physical, or I fight only spiritual, I think we're at a standoff. Want to call a truce?

Zanya - Stubborn? Hmm, wonder what would give you that idea.

Akira - *cough cough* Right.

Zanya - *ignores Akira* Welcome, Bran and Cehlrym! I'm glad you could join us.

Ryan - And all the chaos therewith.

Thysal - Hey Chayn, I thought you were originally on our side? (glides down close to the ground to steady her flight, then climbs back in the air) You still with me, Jay?

Sylvia - (goes over to Riniel Jasmina's post to pet Scooter)

Ryan - Next question; has anyone seen Silver lately?

Me: *pauses the fight* That would have killed anything. Vetis is fighting fully in the physical world.

Ah, but this is not the physical world. This is the character intros. No one dies.

Not true. Ël-Ërai killed Negraz. Just, everyone comes back.

*rolls eyes, chuckling* So he dies and comes back immediately. It's still very painful, and death, I imagine, doesn't feel too good.

This place sounds more and more dangerous all the time.

Less and less, all damage is fixed upon the completion of the duel.

Yeah... whatever happened with Negraz was... whatever. I thought he got banished to some kind of spiritual underworld or something bizarre like that.

I think the general consensus was that ordinary character don't die. We'd have some very worried characters if they did. Seymour and somebody hacked each other to pieces and kept fighting long after they both should have died of blood loss...

Cehlrym: I'm a Seer! How often do you think I'm going to get into fights?

Me: So...characters can die, but they're revived after the fight?

Tynx: Good. [Starts in surprise when Iri laughs] Alright, let's show the other team what we're made of!

Me: We? Tynx, Iri's the one with experience.

Tynx: Thanks for the confidence-booster, Aris.

Me: They can die? [Can't remember how many close-calls her characters have had] Yikes.

Seymour: Niarah and I did not hack each other to pieces. But I'll admit I probably went further than was wise.

Chayn: Which side we take was decided by Shawn's author. We'll try to go easy on you, if you're too scared.

Cory: I never thought she'd be one for taunting.

Seymour: Dragons have their moments, I'm sure. [Turns to Arionwyn] Congratulations on your engagement, miss.

Cory: Emeth, is Kimun available for a duel?

Me: Seriously? I've got two dragons, a villain, and a hero dueling, you want to add one more?

Cory: It won't kill you. Besides, you need practice in describing battle scenes.

Me: Fine. But be careful.

Tynx: He's dead.

Me: Keep your nose in your own duel, Tynx.

Niarah - Seymour and I weren't exactly hacking each other to pieces. It was a little extreme, maybe, but both of us were in that. I enjoyed it, personally.

Sabre - Wait, so are we still going?

Me - Nope, you're dead.

Sabre - *vanishes*

Me - Zanya, if you please . . . (indicates Vetis)

Zanya - I don't understand; I was already removed from the fight.

Me - Sabre's not here anymore, but you are.

Zanya - I'm going to die.

Me - That could be avoided.

Zanya - (shakes head) I can't continue.

Me - So?

Zanya - (shuts her eyes and grimaces) He's a major villain.

Me - He's just another character.

Zanya - Fine. *winces* Vetis, would you accept my surrender?

Me - Pride goeth before the fall.

Zanya - Now what about Sabre?

Sabre - (appears out of nowhere) Whoa, what just happened?

Akira - You're alive!

Thysal - (snorts) Scared? Ha, you haven't seen anything yet. Look out, Chayn and Merashath! (Flys over by Tynx)

Ryan - This is bad. I can't believe I just lost my dragon. Silver?

Sylvia - (chokes on her laughter)

Vetis: *makes an appreciative sound* Your surrender is accepted.

Kai: Of course we do. Fairivel's ignoring me. *draws sword*

Klasina: Yay! Kimun has come! Now he can beat that nasty demon. *shudders*

Roel: Can I fight someone?

Me: Only if someone wants to fight you. I have to figure out what weapon you use, too.

Roel: Yay! Somebody wanna fight me??

Me: I need to write less violent characters.

Cehlrym: *sighs* Fine. *draws sword*

Erronys: *dips slightly and breathes fire happily*

Skooter: No dragon! You melt the snow!

Pernoxnix: *whispers to Erronys* Thank you my friend.

Tanner: Hey Malcolm, let's pull some air stunts.

Malcolm: Climb aboard small fry. I'm always up for a flight!
