Clearly we all have lost whatever mind we had left before we joined HW - which, I imagine, wasn't much, since we actually thought it was a good idea to associate ourselves with this motley group - but there are some excellent sentences that have been posted! I like the frogs... among other things.

I finally wrote one. Critiques are welcome, because I am considering posting it on my blog.

"I am the President's orphaned daughter."

Not a self-assessment, btw. ;)

wow, that's profoundly descriptive...

The Angels praised as they fought...

Richard hasn't walked since that day...

It's subtle, and takes a moment to sink in, but when it does, it's effective.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

We've tried a few light-hearted or heart-warming stories, but dark seems to be more popular.

All your statements are six words. ;)

And they're dark because if you look at a story, it might have a good ending but it's probably overwhelmingly about bad things. So when you condense a story into six words, what comes out most is the dark part.

  Excellent, excellent! We had all better make sure our normal sentences in this thread are longer than six words.

Since this was so popular, I'm thinking about putting graphing them - dark, light, noted as exceptional. *pulls up openoffice* Maybe tomorrow.
