Hahaha! Go for it! It's a lot of fun! You'll need a tomahawk block in your backyard too. (A tomahawk block is a 2 x 4 easel-ish set up with slab of tree balanced up on it. Cottonwood works best since it's a soft wood.) ;)

Which reminds me:

1.) You've actually thrown tomahawk for fun and in competition.

2.) You've actually thrown knives for fun and in competition.

3.) You've shot archery with a recurve bow and a long bow.

4.) You've cooked food in cast iron over the fire.

5.) You've split wood with an ax.

6.) You've slept for a week in a canvas tent.

7.) You've dipped your own beeswax candles.

8.) You love the smell of beeswax candles.

9.) You've gone to a rendezvous wedding and reception.

10.) You've eaten actual homemade bread made from home-ground flour straight from the grain and realized this is what your character eats. It is rather dense and needs something drank with it. (It's sort of dry... and has a thick crust.)

11.) You've set up and actual willow sapling longhouse.

12.) You want to learn to use a bullwhip.

In regards to #1-12, all are true. Rendezvousing has it's advantages. :D

Well, I've thrown knives for fun, slept for a week in a camping tent, shot a recurve bow and a long bow (and a crossbow), split wood with an ax, and I have a bullwhip even if I'm not very good with it. :D

...you think compound bows are ugly in comparison to a recurve bow.

Or you might just like to go camping and do those things. ;)

Speaking of recurve bows... I'd love one! :D
One of my brothers has a youth compound bow, but I can't shoot well for anything =P And it's probably too small anyway. And what's the fun in a compound bow?

You've spent nearly a year learning to whistle with your fingers in your mouth because one of your characters can.

It's a hugely long process if you're new to it... I haven't perfected it and it literally has been almost a year now... Near as I can say you touch your thumb and index finger together, touch them to your tongue, and then touch them all to the roof of your mouth... Noise will come depending on your lips and tongue. Good luck :) If you past the threshold of pain let me know because that's my goal.

-You want to expand word problems in Math to stories, and gripe about how random they are.

I've never wanted to turn the word problems into more complex stories before. Goodness, yes! Random indeed! And they are always the strangest circumstances and aren't applicable to the real world. XD

I meant that they are unsatisfying in how... random they are. There is no sense or context!

I agree. *nods*

1.) When a certain song sends your mind into ultra-novel-idea-productivity.

This one probably connects with Calen's post above. ;)

~When you build an entire novel around a single epic song.

Yep, done that.

I'm doing that, in a way. ^^

-When you could play a song that inspires you to write on your guitar until people go insane.

Hee hee! I love to play a certain song over and over and over (upwards of ten times, and I know it well, so it's fun) again on the piano. So far, no one has complained... :D

when your parents tell you to go to bed:
A. If you're reading you measure the time til you're done in chapters rather than pages
B. If you're writing you measure the time in pages rather than paragraphs

when you feel commonplace if you name something and don't have to tell Spell-check to add it.

when you do stupid things and when asked about it say "I needed to know".

I generally don't mind with character names. I have so many that I can't hope to be original with all of them. :D

-You live in a pair of epic boots you got for Christmas.

-You are able to be philosophical about a scratch you just got on said boots.

-You secretly enjoy the odd looks people give you when they overhear your conversations about killing characters.

-You hope people scream during you're books "No! He can't die!"

-when you kill off your characters like it's no big deal at all.
-when everything in the real world reminds you of your fantasy world.
-when you hear a word and instantly think, "That sounds Elvish!"
-you transfer everything you see into a big idea for a battle scene or something. (in my case, the oil trap) :D

People tell me I do this too much.

Let's see, there's Nije, Kerna, Rinifer, All those soldiers, Gishul, Kashaar, Shilash (who I want to write a short story about) and at least a dozen others. All in one story.

1.) You've always wanted a leather journal just like in many fantasy books.

2.) You are ecstatic you get a leather journal for Christmas!

3.) Now you don't want to write in the leather journal because it's too pretty.

Way to get a head start on that, Elanhil (and eruheran)!

(Won't derail any further.)

Well, we're just planning it. Haven't really done anything yet. Oh well.

Most of your New Years resolutions have a fantasy theme.
- When you play with your cat you pretend she's a vicious enemy that you need to kill! Or you're trying to kill her and she's a hero attacking the giant!!

You are doing your schoolwork and suddenly this amazingly dramatic scene of a young man kneeling on a battlefield in tears comes into your head and you can see every little detail!

You freak out when this happens. Not because it's weird, but because you now have to figure out this character's backstory and you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you didn't write something about him.

Yeah, this happened to me yesterday and I already know most of his story, now. :D

Griffin, the same sort of thing happened to me just yesterday! ;)

You know you're a crazy fantasy writer when:
- You are laying in bed and you suddenly see this scene of your favorite, cutest character dying and the vision makes you cry. True story.

- Upon hearing that you will be dragged off to a family camp come spring, you ask if you would be allowed to wear a cloak and live at the archery range.

- And when you don't understand why people look at you funny when you say you'd like to wear a cloak and live at said archery range.

- You think medieval-style stealth camping in the woods of your city park would be just awesome.

You get over a foot of snow and your first inclination is to put on chain mail and trudge through it with determination.

You know you're a crazy fantasy writer when:
- You talk in British accents and act out a battle from Narnia.
- You search on Amazon and eBay for daggers.
- You do sword fighting with your sibs using long cardboard rolls for gift wrapping paper (Eve and Emmie did this.)

when you turn around about to go inside and you notice a reflection in the sliding glass doors of a dragon in flight... "Huh?" you say as you turn around, only to notice it's not a dragon but a heron. But just for a moment it was real... there was a dragon flying past.

That was me earlier today, lol.

When you use a Old English (maybe?) or fantasy world while shopping in Target. "Come on, we've tarried for you long enough . . ." (and yes, I'm aware that it's probably bad grammar)

When you don't freak out when the cursed computer eats the file containing your almost completely edited book, because you have a bunch of backup copies, and you're like, "Hey, I won't have to edit the last 30 pages I lost because I can rewrite them the way I want!" ;)

- when you spend your day off creating tiny clay figurines for the medieval clue game you want to make and you convince your dad to make the murder weapons. (I must admit, his mace and chain looks amazing!)
