Hey y'all,
I've designed several (quite a few) Blogger templates in the past. You can see some of my work here and here. I've been contemplating making a Blogger template that has sort of a writing feel to it--would anyone be interested in maybe buying a template like that? I just want to gauge some interest before I invest a lot of time in creating one to sell.

So--would you buy one? Maybe you would use it if it were free? Maybe you're not interested at all? Maybe you think writing-style templates are tacky? Let me know.

If I had a blog or was planning to get one, I would most certainly look into it. Of course, I'd rather it be free, but it would depend on the price.

Unfortunately, I can't set the price. =P But, I would hope it would be under ten dollars.

Yes, I’d be interested. When I searched for my blog’s current template, it was important to me that it had a writing “feel.” Some paper in the background, paper clips, keyboard, something.

I’m satisfied with my current template, but I am open to change if just the “right” template came along. I would be willing to pay the $15 or under range, but again, the template would have to be special.

As a side note, your work is fantastic, but I noticed most of it has the clean-cut, shiny, modern feel. I prefer the grungy and rustic style –shading, stains, torn edges, earth tones, wood grain, historical/cultural flair. Just something you might want to consider to broaden your audience.

Another idea – when I searched for blog templates, most of the ones that involved computer screens/keyboards also featured images of other non-writing-related gadgets (like ipods). I couldn’t really find a template with a keyboard that felt “writerly”… just “bloggy.”

Also, you might consider designing a template aimed at screenwriters or filmmakers…

Yes, I know that. =) That's what I'm focusing on this time around. Sort of a learning experience =)

I would be willing to take a look at it. I have a private blog, but I tweaked it to have a writers kind of theme.
