Yet another creature from the Land of Ashta

Genus: Cardae
Species: Theraquuae
Size: Up to 10 ft. long and 4-5 ft. high.
Physical Description: Horse body except for a Lion mouth, mane and tail. Sandy in color. Front knees are lower down on the legs.
Other Information: The Theraquuae only live in the Endless Sands. They are wild beasts and roam freely through the desert. They are hunted at times but have never been known to attack people. Their main source of food are the E'tara; a type of desert deer.

Oooh, I get it now! That looks great! When you write about it you should have a picture in the book because I was really confused for a bit.

Neat animals. I like how these don't have some crazy awesome unique ability. It seems that all the animals made-up for fantasy worlds have some awesome ability for which they were created by the author. While its cool to have another species, I appreciate that whoever has these guys won't automatically win the war or anything.

Carnivorous (thus the E'tara )

Why wouldn't they attack humans ever then? Do they just not like the taste?

How often do you see wild lions attacking people?
The Ashtains and Duvat are smart enough not to get near them and allow themselves to be eaten. Thus very few tales of them eating people.
I'm sure there are some poor souls who were alone in the desert were attacked, but never lived to tell the tale

Besides, at the moment, they have plenty of easier food available to them.

Okay, that makes sense. I mean, I wouldn't except someone to attacked often, but never seemed like a stretch. I guess I just misunderstood. My bad.
