wow, I feel like I'll be able to say so much more in this thread with spoiler text! I'm not very fan so just about anything I say will be spoiler. At least until I write the third and four chapters.

Me: I had an idea, but I forgot it...

Jay: Yeah, you have a cold.

Me: But I wanted some candy!

Shawn: *crunches a candy bead* Sugar weakens your immune system. Go to bed.

Me: Fine, I will.

Jay: She actually listened to us!

Shawn: That's unusual.

Shawn: Bed! *gestures*

Shawn: It's quiet on here.

Jay: Indeed. *smiles at Azriel and bows* Hello there.

Shawn: Is Nessa here?

Tynx: [Melting chocolate in his mouth]

Chayn: [Spirals overhead while drinking MD]

Me: I said no drinking and flying!

Mordir: I don't think that will work.

Me: I know. It was worth a try.

Cassie: [Eating a piece of candy] Mmm...

Thysal - Whew . . . I feel . . . Wow . . . Suddenly tired . . . (lands, stumbles a few steps, and collapses to the ground, asleep)

Sabre - Didn't see that coming.

Zanya - (gathers her courage and comes closer) Is she really out?

Lucius: Charlotte, do not fret over it. She will not abandon us or our story.

Charlotte: It feels like she will if she does not start writing again!

Me: I haven't had TIME!!!

Lucius: Charlotte? *raises eyebrow*

Tynx: [Smiles and fishes out another piece of candy] I love it!

Cassie: It's money. You can buy stuff with it.

Cory: [Looks up at the skies] Well, she's either too high up to see her, or she's collapsed somewhere far away.

Mordir: We can always hope she fell. Falling here would result in injuries.

Me: Hopefully she hasn't consumed too much, or else she'll start burping or worse-

Chayn: [Comes tearing through the sky] Whooooo! [Suddenly burps toxic liquid above the treasure-hunters]

Cory: [Pulls Shawn and Tynx off to the side]

Mordir and Seymour: [Pulls everyone else out of the way]

Ponkin: CANDY! [Rushes forward]

Ashton: Idiot! [Kicks the box towards Shawn and Tynx and grabs up Ponkin and escapes just before the poison lands]

Me: Chayn, you are grounded. Get down here.

Chayn: [Lands heavily] Wow, that was... that was exhilarating! What is in that stuff?!

Mordir: [Sits upright] What are you trying to do?! Kill us all?!

Cory: Is everyone alright?

Chayn: [Looks around. Then sees her mess.] Oops.

Me: Oops?! That's all you can say is oops?!

Chayn: I'll clean it up, don't worry. Sorry for scaring you all. [Proceeds to absorb the poison into her wings. All that's left is a patch of very dead grass.]

Sophia: [Has fainted]

Rob: There goes one.

Mordir: Does saving people always give you heroes heart attacks?

Cory: Sometimes, but not always.

Tynx: Do it again! Do it again! But wait until we finished the candy!

Ponkin: [Scurries over to Shawn and Tynx

Chayn: [Looks at the Mountain Dew where Silver is]

Me: Nuh-uh. You stay put.

Chayn: [Ears lie back and tails droops] I said I was sorry.

Seymour: We know you are, but you have to be careful about how much you consume of that stuff, since you aren't like other dragons.

Mordir: I wonder... would it affect Seymour at all?

Cory: I feel your frustration, Charlotte. SOmetimes a ceertain someone just doesn't write your story-

Me: Hey, I'm workin' on it. Now that I know what to do about the worlds I have, I'm good. They're being combined!

Cory: Beg pardon?

Me:

Jay: Are you okay? *helps Shawn up*

Shawn: Yeah... That was... exciting? No, that's not the word I'm looking for. Thanks, Cory.

Jay: It doesn't sum up my feelings, either. *eyes Ponkin* Are you going to get in my hair, Ponkin? *he tosses a few pieces off to the side for him* There you go.

Me: You can exchange it for some other currency, Tynx. Or you can trade it for more candy.

Shawn: It's okay, Chayn. Seriously though, don't drink any more. *half smile while looking at the very dead patch of grass*

Me: Ooh, would it affect Seymour? Try it, please!

Jay: Don't give it to him while he's dueling...

Charlotte to Cory: Thank you, sir. *to Lucius* You see, my frustrations are not alone.

Lucius: Yes, but your frustrations won't help finish the story. *said matter-of-factly*

Me: Yuppers, Lucius is right.

Charlotte: *huffs* I suppose you are correct.

Lucius: *smirks* Of course I am. Only because I did not rashly assume Calenmiriel would leave our story incomplete.

Charlotte:

Me: *snickers* Lucius, let's not provoke her anymore. It might get ugly.

Lucius: *grins*

Charlotte:

Cory: Authors.

Me: [Ignores] Hmm.

Seymour: I don't like this.

Mordir: Don't be a spoilsport. Try some.

Cory: You don't have to try a lot. I think you'd be more dangerous than the others.

Me: [Hands Seymour a cup of Mountain Dew] Drink up.

Chayn: [Nudges Seymour] It won't kill you.

Seymour: It's not death I'm worried about.

Me: If your worried about dignity, don't. You'll be fine. I won't make you go all loopy like these three.

Seymour: [Eyes narrow] That implies you will make me do something. What am I getting myself into?

Me: Hmm, Cory and somebody else can find out. Come on, drink it down. It's good stuff. All sugar, completely unhealthy.

Ponkin: [Sniffs Jay's leg] I was in your hair? Sorry 'bout that. I don't normally get into people's hair. Only when I get really excited for or scared. It's really bad when I get into Lars's hair, then everyone else has to untangle me. Was I hard to get out?

Me: [Shakes head, smiling]

Tynx: Awesome!

Cory: Oh, he drank it!

Seymour: You weren't kidding when you said this stuff is unhealthy.

Me: I know. But you're lucky, you don't have to drink water afterward. I do. Dentist says so (but it's amazing how many things you can get away with when you have braces when the dentist says you can't^^)

Cory: C'mon, who'll duel him with me? Let's see what happens.

Mordir: Good luck. You failed miserably last time.

Thysal - (opens one eye) Wow, Chayn, that is quite impressive, my friend.

Nalya - Thank you for the timely rescue, Mordir and Seymour. (glares at Chayn)

Zanya - There is good in Mordir! I knew it!

Sabre - Leave the villains alone, will you?

Me - Oh, just so everyone knows, Nalya's new name is Akira.

Akira - Pick a name and stick with it, will you? So far I've been Saphyra, Sable, Nalya, and now Akira!

Me - Live with it.

Ryan - Silver, don't make me come and get you.

Silver - (bubbles) C'mon, give it your best shot.

Ryan - (looks at Sylvia) Help?

Sylvia - I have my dragon. Go get yours.

Tanner: *brushes dirt off his pants* I don't have my knives on my and I don't know broad sword but I can do a hand to hand duel.

Jay: Like, without any weapons? I could do that, Tanner. (to Ponkin) It's okay. And yes, you were. Cory helped a lot.

Shawn: (watching Seymour) This should be interesting.

*silence*

Shawn: Um, author?

Me: I'm trying to figure out a lot of school I have to do. Y'all behave.

Jay: Sure.

Shawn: Okay.

Me: *suspicious of innocent straightforward answers*

Aarin: Wow. It's been awhile since we've been on here.

Me: Uh-huh.

Eorina: Treasure? Do I see treasure??

Me: Maybe if you ask they'll share. But don't eat too much candy! Or drink any of the Mountain Dew. You're hyper as it is...

Eorina: Only because you're hyper.

Tullio: *swings sword and brings it crashing down into the floor* Woo hoo!

Aarin: Hey, why do you have my sword??

Me: You gave it to him.

Aarin: I did not!

Me: *shrug*

Aarin: I hate it when you do that. Now, where's Iri or Mordir? I want to duel them!

Me: I'm about ready to take you guys out and put Kai and Klasina in...

Tullio: * swings sword three inches from Aarin's head in happy oblivion*

Aarin:

Shawn: Come have some, Eorina! There's plenty.

Jay: Yeah, but seriously, don't drink the Mountain Dew.

Shawn: Um, Kai and Klasina?

Jay: What?

Me: *giggles*

Shawn: *glares at me* Nothing.

Jay: *confused*

Cory: Oh crud...

Me: Cory. You and Seymour. Now.

Cory: Do I have to?

Seymour: Obey the author. Let's get this over with.

Cory: This is so not fair. I'm being pitted against a half-elf who now has caffeine?! What cruelty is this?!

Seymour: [Leaps forward, staff in hand]

Cory: I will get revenge, Aris. [Ducks and backs off]

Me: You can't. I control you. HA!

Mordir: I'm game, Aarin.

Me: Of course you are.

Tynx: Come and have some, Eorina! There's plenty!

Ponkin: [Stuffing his face full of candy]

Me: [Gingerly picks the squirrel out of the pile] OK, no more for you.

Chayn: [Lowers head, embarrassed]

Mordir: What, you don't think I'd sit by and let them be burned by a caffeinated dragon, do you? [Smiles] Nah, I'm not that heartless yet.

Me: [Pokes him] Yet? You're assuming I will make you heartless? Not by a long shot, mister.

Mordir: Don't poke me.

Me: [Pokes again]

Mordir: You're askin' for it.

Tynx: You're the villain, you're subject to that kind of thing.

Me: Aarin doesn't need to fight Mordir again.

Aarin: Yes I do!

Eorina: *ignores brother's argument* Ooo, thank you! *takes a piece and slowly eats it*

Me: No, Aarin. Actually, you're leaving. You and Tullio. Eorina can stay, as she's doing something.

Aarin:

Me: Yeah, yeah, I know. Now, shoo. Kai! Klasina!

Kai: Is this like the chat room?

Me: Yep. Introduce yourselves.

Kai: Alright. *speaks slightly louder* Hallo. I am Kai. I am a Phantom, Phantom Mist to be precise.

*silence*

Kai: Klasina, you have to introduce yourself.

Klasina: *quietly* I don't know who's here.

Kai: *looks around* Well, Shawn, the girl we met in chat, at least. And some dragons, a fox, a squirrel, a bunch of elves, princes and nobility, and a ton of peasants.

Klasina: Shawn?? *giggles*

Kai: :glares:

Klasina: For that, I will introduce myself. I am Klasina. I am blind. I am a Phantom, phantom wind. People tell me I have silver hair. I don't remember, myself.

Kai: It is silver, really, and very pretty.

Klasina: So you always say...

Kai: *grins*

Jay: Um, giggles?

Shawn: Yes, Eorina can stay! *does a happy dance*

Jay: Oh-kaay... *bows* I am Jay Lewis. A pleasure to meet you both, Kai and Klasina.

Tanner: Awesome! I haven't dueled in so long. *assumes stance, one hand stretched out, one poised to strike with the palm heel* And for the record Kai, I'm no peasant, I'm a Grayson. My dad made some good money back in the day. Ready when you are Jay.

Pernoxnix: And likewise I am hardly a dragon. It's a pleasure to meet you both. Klasina, there are none from my world but maybe there is a telepath here who can show you what's going on?

one of the problems with character chats like this is my characters always like to make the shy ones feel welcome but in my case the shy characters are usually a bit underdeveloped. Sorry if I put any fellow writers on the spot.

Jay: Same here. *assumes a similar stance* You first.

Shawn: This should be interesting.

Tanner: *comes in dead center on Jay's chest with his right hand, his hand is caught as he comes around with his right leg in an axe kick*

Me: Like me, my characters aren't used to throwing the first punch, we're better at reacting than inciting.

Jay: *strikes Tanner's hand to the side and sidesteps the kick, striking at Tanner's shoulder*

Me: Same here, Riniel.

Me: an ax kick is from the side... you don't really sidestep it, just sayin'

Tanner: *back-flips to avoid hit and in so doing brings feet to connect with Jay's chin*

Me: Oh. I looked it up, and it was from the front.... My bad. Let me know if I do something impossible, please.

Jay: *shove's Tanner's legs to the right side and goes for left his shoulder* Was that impossible too? I think we may be trying to use different styles of fighting.

Me: yep I can see that, so Tanner's on the ground and Jay's leaning down to punch him...

Tanner: *takes the hit and grabs Jay's head with his knees whipping him back so Jay is on his back with Tanner sitting on his chest with Jay's hands pinned under his own*

Me: My best friend taught me a way out of this one, don't worry, it's possible.

Me: Um, oh-kaay... I'll try something.

Jay: *using his legs and shoulders, rolls Tanner off of him*

Me: Does that work?

Shawn: *tries to throw a piece to Tynx and have him catch it in his mouth*

Mordir: Rats.

Me: Sit and behave.

Cassie: Hi, Kai, and Klasina! Want some candy?

Tynx: What are Phantoms? They sound cool. [Backs up and stands up on his hind legs, catching the treat] That was fun!

Cory: Alright, no more. He's too wild! The guy doesn't even block!

Seymour: We're not done until someone's on the ground.

Mordir: Good luck, Cory.

Cory: You help me. You're not dueling right now.

Mordir: Neither is a lot of people.

Me: You're fine, Cory. If anyone wants to have a go, they can.

Cory: Fine. [Deflects Seymour's staff]

Chayn: Huh, and you all were saying I was being dangerous. Now you've got a crazed elf on the loose.

Cory: He's not crazed. Caffeine has a different effect on him.

Me: Caffeine works in mysterious ways...

Cory: Bring in new characters. Chase's folks aren't that animated.

Me: Yeah, I realized that... OK, um... The three adults will leave, and I'll bring in three others.

Mordir: You always have to replace with the same amount?

Me: Yes. Chase is only staying because he has a duel at the moment.

Mordir: But he's just-

Me: Shoosh. OK, this is Sheyna, Gabriel, and Brandon.

Sheyna: Oh, how fun! Look at all the people! And dragons, Elves! Oh, wow! This is so neat!

Gabriel: Sheesh, I thought getting her here would be a hassle. But no, it had to be my cousin.

Brandon: Hey, you weren't all that keen to come here either. We're only here because she is.

Sheyna: Oh knock it off you two, I- Oh! A little dragon! [Runs over to Ember]

Brandon: Well, at least she can't get into any trouble, can she?

Gabriel: Don't hold your breath.

Me: Gabe and Brandon are cousin. Gabriel is 18, Brandon is 17. They're from the real world. Sheyna is... 17? She's from Luminne, and the granddaughter of the king's advisor.

Shawn: *tosses another treat* This is fun!

Jay: *grunts*

Me: Someone's not very communicative today.

Jay: *glares*

Me: Strike that one.

Shawn: Good luck, Cory. That looks tricky.

Me: umm... I'm not really sure if his legs could do that right now... I think I tried that when I was grappling my friend...

Depends on how he did it. I know I could.

So, is that valid? I've done it (when I was littler) with my brother, and it is stoppable.

Riniel, it's your call, then. It's fine if you don't think it would work, I'll do something else.

EDIT: Okay, I'm rewording Jay's action to convey his action more clearly.

Jay: *bucks his hips and rolls over so he is on top of Tanner, pinning his (Tanner's) shoulders firmly*

Tanner: nice recovery *punches Jay squarely in the solar plexus and takes the time to stand up again*

Pernoxnix: Author aren't there any Lamarian characters you could introduce?

Me: I'm afraid not Nix. Lamar is still under a lot of construction. It might take a while.

Jay: *on the ground, groaning* Ungh...

Me: Ouch.

Jay: *tries to get up, and fails utterly*

Tanner: *helps Jay up* Sorry man, nice move with the grapple mount though...

Me: Boy Tanner, you're not going to make many friends if you keep hurting people...

Jay: Uh, thanks. I'll remember how to do that.

Me: That was kind of funny.

Jay: Yeah, to you. *glares* Hey, who said we won't be friends?

Pernoxnix: He's got a point. That's how Fulgar and Stellwento met.

Me: Oh yeah, and something like that went down between Kaida and Aren. Haha, and Lakkerfax and Umectra... Never mind buddy, just don't hurt 'em too bad.

Jay: I second that.

Me: *tries to hide a smile*

Tynx: [Jumps and catches the candy] You try! [Fishes out a wrapped candy and balances it on his nose, then turns, facing away from Shawn] Ready? [Brings head upward, catapulting the candy toward Shawn]

Me: "ing" and "ign" are so easy to mix up.

Mordir: I'll say.

Me: And then it gets really embarrassing when I can't even spell my character's name.

Cory: [Grimaces] Thanks, if you want a turn, holler. [Tries to knock Seymour's staff away]

Seymour: [Rapidly slices at Cory's legs]

Cory: Sheesh, all idea of defense has completely left him!

Me: It's all I can come up with without making seem really immature and childish.

Ponkin: Caffee-nuts make you immature and childish?

Chayn: For some. Others it just makes them go ballistic

Gabriel: That was an cool match.

Brandon: You next?

Gabriel: Haha. No.

Brandon: Come on, you and me.

Gabriel: 'Cuz, last time we tried a friendly fight, you ended up getting hit by a poison dart.

Brandon: Did you really have to bring that up? [Rubs a pale gray slender tendrilled spot on his neck]

Sheyna: You boys are so difficult.

Shawn: I hope I don't choke. *leaps forward to catch it* Imm caugh igh! *unwraps and eats it*

Me: Um, that's kind of nasty.

Jay: Yeah. Uh, no thanks, Cory. I'm still kind of sore. *grimace*

Me:: *smiles at the duel* This is entertaining.

Jay: Yeah, for you.

Shawn: This is good. Your turn, Tynx! *unwraps a piece and tosses it to him*

Jay: *eyes Kai* Hmm.

Kai: What's candy?

Me: Oh. They don't have candy in their world...

Klasina: Whatever it is, it must be good! I wouldn't mind trying some.

Kai: *leads Klasina to the candy*

Klasina: Thanks.

Kai: Hey, Jay. Why are you eyeing me? Is it that whole crush thing?

Klasina: *giggles*

Me: Now, now, be nice. *giggles*

Kai: I hate you both!

Me: I'm used to it.

Klasina: *giggles*

Me: Note to self. Klasi loves to giggle...

Jay: Um, crush? I'm confused.

Shawn: Here you go, Klasina. *hands her some candy* I bet you'll like Warheads. *mischievous*
