I don't know what happened, but last night it was like something clicked in my brain when I was reading Amanda's essence map for Aaron. I was profiling Charlotte in my "Random Book Characters" notebook and thought I'd try an essence map or make one up. After reading Aaron's I found it pretty straightforward and figured out (to a point) how to set up the syntax.

Here is my very first ever essence map!!! I hope it makes sense. ><;; (Feel free to lend any tips.)

*dances around* Nice job! I think at the end of the map you do the parallel brackets, but that was all I could think of.



Something like that, but you would do it for the other brackets too. Let me know if I just confused you...

Ummm, you mean putting the analogy in parentheses?

Example: Hands(
.......................(fluttering butterflies)?

Did I fix it right?

Essentially, when you did "Outward," you used this bracket: [. When you finish doing "Outward," you use ] at the end of that section to show you are doing something else (aka "Inward")

Yeah, except you apply it to the other brackets too.

And that happens also when you finish an aspect.

This is amazing! I am in awe of it. The wood shavings metaphor is my favorite.

Thanks, Philli! Believe it or not, I had to think really hard of a good example for curly hair...it's not wavy nor is it ringlets. Since my dad demonstrates time period coopering I get to see all the wood chips he makes. They make great temporary bracelets too.

Note: For those who don't understand what I'm talking about:

I really like the essence map--for a first one it looks great. But I didn't see anything wrong with the syntax...did you edit it since Shawn and Elanhil showed you what's what?

It is indeedy very awesome! There are so many interesting people! It's like coming to a family reunion! We do about 3 rendezvous from September-October. We also host one at our place in April, but it's going to be in June this year due to the poor weather we've had for the past 3 years.
