The Kundinoua were once a simple tribe of men, known then as the Kinoua, who moved from place to place mining minerals and moving on to a town to sell the minerals. As they were mining one day, the miners came across a previously unknown mineral that they decided to call tunia. The tunia emitted a vast amount of energy and greatly intrigued the Kinoua and they mined it with great vigor. As they mined this rock, they came upon an extremely large vein of it and the energy proved to much. The entire tribe was transformed. They became taller, with much more strength, agility, and speed than a normal human. Their skin also became much more durable. Out of this transformation came a new name, the Kundinoua. Unfortunately, they were divided into three groups. The first wanted to hide their abilities and let none know about them. The second wanted to use their abilities to help their country fight its wars. And the last wanted to use them to create an empire that would crush all other kingdoms. So it was that the Great War of Division started and divided all races and made nations rise and fall. This war lasted fifty years and few Kundinoua remained. But it grew worse for them. The humans hated them for starting the war and killed them off, one by one, until only a very few remained. One man and his wife fled to an island in the Alhambad Sea, where their family stayed for many a year, until the storm around subsided and they returned to the world, acting as humans.

It is now five hundred years later and the Kundinoua are all but extinct. What few that are left remain hidden from the other races except for a few Gryphins who have pledged to let no others know.

Nice, Griffin! You did a great job on them!
I like the new name, by the way. ;)
