*in a high squeaky voice* Eeeeevil! Eeeeeeeeeevil! *cough* okay..... that was random, on to the description

A quote from my "research"
Quote:
The Zarack were craftsmen in metal working and forging weapons, but what they made was only suited their own people. In looks they were close to that of a Duvat except that almost every muscle in their body was contorted beyond recognition. As was once expressed by someone who fought against an Zarack, he was “a dark skinned, grimfaced person [who] looked somewhat like a human, the armor he was wearing fitted tightly to his body, made to never come off, and was all shapes and sharp edges. His arms and legs were of pure muscle, strange designs were tattooed all over his body giving him the look of a fierce, armored adder with limbs.” Which to some degree is true, Zarack arms and legs are comprised entirely of muscle. And, as an adder, they can move and strike swiftly, not in the least hindered by their size. I could not find much else as to the build of the Zarack, but I do know that the females are the only ones who have hair and it is always black or scarlet. The eyes of the Zarack are red and their skin color is dark and close to black.

The Izang is the name the Zarack took after the Shrooga (the shortening). This way they hid their identity from the remaining Ashtains.

The Zarack are the "spawn" of Natorii. Ashtains manipulated by him through Seppana. They have a long history in connection with the Ashtains.
The leaders of the Zarack/Izang are called Inchanti.
Ithlang are the "priests" of Natorii; the Zarack hold him as their god.
They live above Ashta in the Land of Zara.
They speak Ah Graliz Sweniz. (the name means: a god's words)

and..... more evil than that   there are:

The Jakunter
Quote:
A rare type of Zarack, they are black skinned (like all Zarack) but have white hair that goes down their back and also covers their fore-arms and calves. They are a legendary specialty and eat anything (even other Zarack/Izang if they choose) They are feared and honored by all Zarack/Izang as they are fearsome fighters and make clothing out of the skins of their fallen enemies.

I got the clothing thing from history class :P
Creepy evil

The Jakunter can only be male and must have another Jakunter somewhere in their ancestry. They did not loose their height and life span during the Shrooga. I've only one tale of the Jakunter and it's related to a creature I'll hopefully post about in a few days ;)

I may have more on them and just can't bring it to mind at the moment, so.... any questions?

Awesome! In all ways, completely, and totally awesome :D I love 'em! I mean, in a shivery 'that thing is so evil' sort of way.

One question:
What purpose are they in your story? I'd be interested in reading anything with these guys as the bad guys. Are they renowned for their intelligence or more animal-like?

I had a few questions, but eruheran got them, so I'll just add that I do NOT want to run into these guys, which is a good thing. ;)

I think I posted in the thread on the E'shanwti that they're the main evil/bad race in my stories. In a way they're like the orcs (by Tolkien) that were manipulated elves.
In all the stories they are evil, except one. In one of my stories, an Izang woman finds "redemption" and turns away from everything about her people.

The Ashtains and other races think they're animal-like, but only because that's how they fight. (in reality, it's their specific "style" of fighting) Zarack/Izang are actually quite intelligent. They are crafty/sly/cunning (all those evil words for smart  ) They have a government type (I'm still working on smoothing it out). They have cities and strategies for attacking. In all respects, the Zarack/Izang are very war-like races; gaining most of their resources from "plundering"
