I am super excited that there is a new Ben Hur coming to cinemas here, next month I think! I absolutely love the 1959 version with Charlton Heston, so I am not sure if any other version can live up to that one for me. However, I am definitely going to be seeing this when it hits the cinemas!

I am not overly familiar with any of the actors in it, other than Morgan Freeman (who I love, he's a fantastic actor). I hope it meets my expectations. :D Anyone else excited for this?

I will be very curious to see how this reboot does. The original Ben Hur is perhaps one of the better "Christian epics" out there; there's enough original story to make it seem like a fresh, new movie, rather than just yet another adaptation of the life of Christ. It is also a story perfectly suited to modern-day "epic" cinema, with the horse race and whatnot. Christian epics have been getting better (RISEN was so very, very close to perfection--my only complaint was a few foggy character motivations), so I'm optimistic.

I'm keen to see this one! I too loved the original Ben Hur, and I'll be excited to see how they execute a reboot.

I so need to see Risen. I've heard pretty good things about it (by that I mean, not hype of crazed Christians who love every thing with the Christian label on it kind of things :P).
