It's an interesting night of studying Torts, Contracts, and Civil Procedure, and I decided I'd check in and see who was still around here. I've been very very busy lately, with law school and work and political campaigns and all sorts of things. I'm interested to know what all of you have been up to. A few people have been trying to get me to drop in more regularly.

Recently the forum has felt fairly quiet - I've been busy in RL and fallen out of being active here at HW...I usually don't do much other than keep up-to-date on active topics, check on new posts on threads I've already posted in, and only manage to spend a few minutes at chat.

Hopefully, I'll be able to find more time to spend on the forum and in chat.

It's good to see you on the forum, Eli! HW has slowed down, but that seems to be happening to most forums right now.

Facebook makes it easy to not lose any friends even when you're too busy for forums. Facebook groups are finally becoming more fleshed out, customizable, and full featured as well.

I know what torts are. (besides delicious layer cakes) My esteemed boss is a lawyer.

Law school. That should be interesting. I'm teaching high school and working on getting into a foreign Bible school next summer.

I'm still the old Reiyen but now with far greater capacity for messing up things on the forums. Except I now have a college degree and since then a job. But I still write some.
I nearly went for law school. Took the LSAT, and placed respectably though not impressively, as my standards go. Instead I am now working for a while before planning on getting a Masters.

You're welcome to liven the place by posting content, but no pressure. I understand that many of us old timers feel like we have had all the writing discussions we need, haha.

I'm still sporadically writing poetry and (even more sporadically) my dragon book. Work as a nurse aide has made that harder to make time for, but haha, such are the trials growing up.

So are you writing, or looking to read these days?

Well, I'm writing legal memorandums, and doing a ton of case reading. But if anyone here needs a reader; I wouldn't mind helping. Is that why you asked?

Well, I just wondered. I don't think anyone minds a reader hanging about, but I haven't written at any length for several months, so I'm not asking based on any need of my own. Merely curious.

Nothing like not being able to write to give you dozens of good story ideas, though. I have plenty of those.

*flops head into a pillow* I knooooow.

Hahaha. Agatha Christie said that she got most of her best ideas while doing the dishes. I've found this to be true.

Oh, I've got novel ideas by the baker's dozen... It's the execution that eludes me!
