These are my favourite old TV shows, in no particular order:

1. Star Trek (all of them)
2. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman
3. MacGyver
4. The Incredible Hulk (1970s show with Bill Bixby)
5. The Waltons
6. Little House on the Prairie (I don't like this one as much as the others)
7. Bonanza
8. The Virginian (the few episodes I've seen of it, anyway)
9. Can I say Doctor Who, even if I haven't gotten to see any of the Classics yet?
10. Can I also say Happy Days, even though I only watched a few episodes before Mom decided it was inappropriate for a kid? XD

And now the childrens' shows:

11. Zoboomafoo
12. Sesame Street
13. PB & J Otter
14. Really Wild Animals - this was my absolute favourite; I returned Spin's (the animate globe) salute at the end of every episode. :P
15. Teletubbies

I think that's it...

I have further narrowed down my initial and subsequent weekly exposure to Star Trek: The Next Generation to before I was 4 years old.

I like TOS, from time to time. Without going off-topic too far into being on-topic with Star Trek, I'll say that I haven't seen much of Season 3, I think...And I had never watched anything of DS9 or VOY until two or three years ago.

Oh, yeah, MacGyver! That was a good one...They still play reruns on TV sometimes... *sighs* Young RDA...

My mom banned us from watching anything on Disney when we were younger...Then we never got into watching it...Of course, that rule was never officially lifted, I guess.

Also, we were never able to be awake before 7am...At least, until I got to be twelve...or something.

I've never been able to get into Little House either, Rennie. I think it's partly to do with the fact that I've read the books, and the series to me are a let down. :P

Old telly shows...Oh, I love them!!! They are usually so much cleaner and i can watch them without worry. Usually. I'll admit that there probably are some with problems, but I havent' found them yet...

First Doctor, Third Doctor, Fourth Doctor, Fifth Doctor, Sixth Doctor, and some of the Seventh Doctor. I really need to finish up the series.... (Does anyone else find it odd that the people that were young - the Brigadier, Sarah Jane, Roman I - have only just recently died? And let's not get started with Susan or Ian...) Basically, Classic Doctor Who. Actually, my introduction to the show....

Gilligan's Island, although I stopped watching that. The Cosby Show. Has anyone else seen the orginal 'Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)' or 'Tomorrow People'? Both rather intriguing and fun. The differences between the 'Tomorrow People' both present and past are many - they're almost two different shows... Has anyone else seen 'Lost in Space'? My brother and I absolutely love that show - and it widens our vocabulary so much!!!!

Oh!!! How about 'The Man from UNCLE'!!!!! I finally found it online!!!! 'Sapphire and Steel' is another good show. (And yes. I watch a lot of British telly...What of it?) 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' is also fun, but I don't remember if it qualifies as an old show... It's a period series, and only three series, but it was tons of fun. 'Knight Rider' is also fun - perhaps someone should define 'old shows'.

My mother and I also enjoyed 'Home Improvement' together, although we haven't found the time recently. 'The Newhart Show' was absolutly hilarious too. My brothers and I enjoyed Bonanza, The Beverly Hillbillies, some of The Waltons, 'The Andy Griffith Show', Star Trek (or at least Spock and McCoy...), we did watch some episodes of MASH - but I don't remember most of that - Hogan's Heroes!!! Granted, the last season is a little redundant, but that's a realy fun show. There was a series with Roy Rogers that we got to watch for a little bit....But I don't recall the name. The A Team was entirely worth the time it took to find it online (and has anyone else noticed the similarities between Leverage and the A Team?) Some of the original Lone Ranger series. I watched the pilot of MacGyver, but couldn't stand it. My firend wants me to finish it, but I don't know. Does it get any better, or does it stay the same? Inspector Morse, awhile ago. There was a series about Sherlock Holmes a long time ago too... (No. It's not Sherlock.) My uncle enjoyed mysteries, and he often let me watch Agatha Christie's Poirot when I was younger and I enjoyed it. My mom had me watch some of Little House on the Prairie, but I liked it less than the books - and that's saying something!

*blinks at what she just wrote*

Well. Apparently I am incredibly old- fashioned. I mean, I always knew it; but I thought it was only in my clothes and hairstyles. And books. And music. And apparently series....

Wow.

I apologize for the length of this post - but I guess this is a listing and commentary.... Sorry.

But thanks for the fun thread!

I've watched some Bonanza, Charlotte, and I think they're brilliant. :D I have seen snippets of The Andy Griffith show but never a full episode. I've seen The Scarlett Pimpernel with Anthony Andrews and I absolutely love that film, but I'm not sure if it's the one you're talking about as it's not that old?

Some of my favorite old television shows are Gilligan's Island, the old Get Smart series, and the Mission Impossible episodes! The Munsters and Addam's Family are also great! :)

Addams Family is great. :D The way Morticia prunes her roses. It's great.

I also adore I Love Lucy. Mom has been binging on it lately, so it's been great to get back into watching it. We watched it together all the time when I was little.

Star Trek: The Original Series
Star Trek: The Animated Series
Return to the Planet of the Apes
The A-Team
Perry Mason
Jonny Quest

I haven't seen Lucy in a while. :D

My brother and I are watching A-Team right now.

I need to get back to MacGyver...

I don't watch a lot of Star Trek anymore. I only really like the original series, but then we get it from the library and I look at the titles and remember each episode and feel satisfied with that, unless I haven't seen that episode in a really long time.

I don't know if it quite counts as old, but I really like watching the Sherlock Holmes series by Granada. I think they play the characters well to the books.

You should watch the Andy Griffith episode 'Andy's English Valet' and criticize it for us. :D

My Mom and I were on an Emergency kick a long time ago! I enjoyed the show a lot for quite awhile, but slowly got bored. Maybe I'll pick it up again and watching some more of it.

I like those. Especially the hour-long episodes of Alfred Hitchcock's show.
