Kitra recently talked to me about hosting a Colouring Contest; of course I thought it sounded like great fun! However, before we decide on what dates it will run to and from, and prizes and etc, we decided to give you guys a few choices to pick from.

I have to say when Kitra sent me the list of creatures, I was rather excited. They look awesome! There will be six options in the poll, but only three will actually be featured in the contest.

So, if you intend to participate (and hey, it's been a while since we've actually had a colouring contest on the forums, so hopefully a lot of you will join in on the fun!) then please vote for your three favourite creatures. The top three choices will be the ones to feature in the contest.

A massive thanks goes to Kitra as well, for being willing to put the time into organizing this event!

Erm, does a will-o-wisp count as a creature? How would you draw it? They are just a little, round light are they not?

Vilisse has will-o-wisp-like creatures that are floating jellyfish creatures. There's a lot you can do with them. I do have an established picture. Never fear, it is more than a dot.

I think hers were more like helium-filled men-o-war, but I would love to see that image too.

I'll work on the outlines during school and hopefully we can have the contest underway before the year is out.

I am actually quite glad for the winners. Only I did not know what the Jackalope or the Will-o-Wisp were, and just picked ones I knew I liked. But I am curious, and I have been getting more curious.

I suppose I should have just picked the ones I knew the least about.

I'm excited too. Although, with the tie they were running for so long, a part of me was rooting for the Cerberus. The Jackelope will be cool though.

Jackalopes are my favorite.

I'm still working at this. Lesson plans and grading are taking up more of my time than expected, and I had computer trouble there for a while, bit I'm almost done with the second picture.
