I love the music from Frozen!

Yes! It's amazing! :D

The only thing is, I couldn't listen to it whilst writing as I would find it too distracting.

Yep I agree with that, but they really did a good job with the music!

My list is the same as Blayne but I also have Adrian Von Ziegler on there...

I love to listen to music while writing. unfortunately i can't listen to songs though because lyrics are much to distracting for me.

I can listen to songs with lyrics while writing, but I don't listen to them often.

XD. Kind of like Aniron from LOTR. That's about the only one with lyrics that I enjoy writing with the most.

When I listen to music with lyrics, usually it only registers in my subconscious when I write. I sort of tune it out.

Wow. What music do I listen too...TONS!!

Okay. Only instumental, or soundtracks, because the words distract me.

I listen to Two Steps from Hell a lot because their music is (how can I say this...) epic. Pretty much any soundtrack available, but usually only the battle music. This includes every movie listed above, any fantasy movie, any action movie...etc. Lots of fantasy music, lots of celtic music, lots of symphonic metal, lots of folk music, lots of epic music in general, Doctor Who soundtracks-especially the I Am the Doctor Restructure that's found on Youtube, etcetra, etcetra, etcetra...

How about, folk music, soundtracks, and instrumental music....

And I Am the Doctor.

I've already posted here, but I am again. Because why not.

I listen to music when writing as often as possible, unless my mom is likely to call me at some point to go do something. Then I want to be able to hear her.

What I listen to depends on the mood and genre of what I'm writing. While writing my novel Little Glass Girl, I like a mixture of dramatic and emotional music (think Two Steps From Hell, Adrian von Ziegler, etc.), and whimsical tunes (such as Owl City, and other such artists), because it's a novel that takes place in the Dreamworld - it's a whimsical and magical place, until things suddenly start to go wrong.

When I'm writing action-adventure, I like Two Steps From Hell (okay, let's just say that I listen to TSfH almost all the time when writing), and other music. Rock works better for this (but not screamo/heavy metal/hard rock), because it has a good beat to it and, at least some rock, invokes excitement.

The list goes on and on. I listen to a wide variety of music, basically.

I also listen to equal amounts of songs with lyrics and songs without lyrics. I haven't tested it yet, but I think I can write just as easily either way. Songs with lyrics don't bother me, at least most of the time.

Music like that I could never listen to. That would just jar the flow for me, xd.

Music is usually my inspiration for many of my stories. Once I get the story idea I listen to that song and a few others like it over and over until I've finished the story. All of my stories have been short stories because I'm afraid that if I made them much longer I would get tired of the song... but if I don't listen to the same song my story and characters are not consistent in moods.
I listen to the Piano Guys a lot. They have really neat and inspirational songs! :)
One of my stories was written to 'Cry' by Faith Hill (I don't know why but the emotions of the song sparked my imagination).

I hear you on that one! I've had to study battle after battle in medieval movies in order to write one. Music helps alot especially intense music

After seeing the trailer for Batman v Superman, I thought I'd just look for a soundtrack to the thing. I didn't think there would be anything, but I know with Man of Steel some music got leaked ahead of the release, so I thought I'd see if anything like that would show up. Believe it or not, I actually found a soundtrack. Not the official one, of course. I don't know who the person is, but the music is incredible! It's easily one of the best pieces I've ever heard, and rivals Hans Zimmer. I don't have the link, so I can't post it on here, but if you go to youtube and type in Batman v Superman soundtrack, you should find the track list. All of them say "unofficial" on the tracks, so those are the ones you'd want to nab.

I pretty much always listen to music while I write--I love me some heavy metal. There's just nothing quite like it to get me into the zone to do my writing. For some reason the heavy, loud, and aggressive really works for me.

But I just love the music anyway.
